I am rating this HomeGoods store in relation to the other HomeGoods stores at which I have shopped in NY, LA, the Bay Area, Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Reno. This is one of the best Home Goods stores at which I have shopped in the U.S. It is extraordinarily clean and organized...whoever stocks their shelves must have OCD because everything is organized by item, color, brand, etc. This is my kind of organization and it is a pleasure shopping here. It makes me want to really linger and check things out. It is a pleasant and relaxing shopping environment, and their restrooms were exceptionally clean, as well. If I were needing to decorate or furnish a home in the Bay Area, this is one of the first places I would check out and I would most definitely make repeat visits...for bedding, kitchenware, bath items, and furniture. About the only thing I didn't see them offering was mattresses, so you will have to go elsewhere for that. If you visit this store, be sure to check out the T J Maxx clothing store at the opposite of the shopping center. It is EXTRAORDINARY! read more

Way, way more fab stuff than tchotchkies. There were some great finds here. Among my favorites were the: Vases, serving platters and bowls, mirror selection and ottomans. Clean, with friendly laid-back shoppers compared to a lot of bargain stores. read more

Stay away if worried about COVID-19. Went to store today and very crowded. Very challenging to social distance. They are allowing 100 people in, but nobody counting. 100 people makes for a crowded store. Best to stay away. I left - not worth taking the chance. read more

The HomeGoods in Brentwood is the best since they are near a lot of new build homes so there is more of a selection than the concord store.

They will occasionally have All-Clad cookware at a great price. This is the best of all the HomeGood locations however, it is always hit and miss. I only go for the kitchen stuff, my wife drags me around the rest of the store. read more

Called to get my old Gift card balance, they said they cant check for legal reason over the phone and that i would need to go to thier cloest location which is an hour and half frm where i am. However when I googled thier customer service number and spoke to one of their companies agents he said that they can, but most likley didnt want todo it. it took him 5 seconds to tell me how much was on thier. but now i dont want to go shop at this store. read more

There was this big hooplah when HomeGoods opened up in the Rheem shopping center. It's basically TJ Maxx for the home - and if you read my review of TJ Maxx, you know I love me some bargains! There is tons of stuff in the kitchen area, but I'm too much of a cooking brand whore to buy the REALLY cheap stuff they have in stock. I did find some great deals on cooking tools and cookbooks though! There is one aisle of pet goods, and this one aisle is probably where I spent most of my money. Food bowls, collars, toys, towels - and all vastly cheaper than at PetFood Express or the Rheem Valley Pet Shoppe. I also like the kids section - found some cute toys, books, and baskets here too. Haven't scoped out the table, bed, or bath linens yet though. The staff is pretty friendly and there is always a ton of stuff to peruse. Great way to waste time (and money). The one bad thing is that sometimes if you don't buy something right away, it's not there when you go back. But that usually doesn't happen to me. I like to spend my money where I live. read more

My wife could live here. One of favorite places to shop. Great place to decorate your house and not spend a fortune. We have even purchased several pieces of furniture that blend in with our estate sale finds and Crate and Barrel furniture pieces nicely. Great value. And a nice place to shop. Over the years we found some very comfortable leather club chairs and some great end tables. Also a great place for nutcrackers around Christmas, if you are into that sort of thing like we are. I stopped by this store last week for a return and was so impressed by their inventory that I decided to stop by today. On a Friday afternoon, there was roughly 6 employees stocking the shelves with merchandise. Each department has a good amount of merchandise and store is well organized for a discounted store. One thing I noticed about this location, it has a lot of rustic decor (thumbs up.) Out of all the Home Goods I have been to, which includes: San Jose, San Ramon, Pleasant Hill and Vacaville, this is my favorite. read more

From Berkeley, the drive wasn't bad, about half an hour. I don't think the drive would be worth if from the city. I went before Christmas, which is a big mistake, because most of the isles were packed with junk and garish decorations for the holidays. Without the added glitz, I think the store is a great resource for designer home needs at really low prices. TJ Max owns it, so I guess it's just the homeware version of that. Lot's of great pans and other basic kitchen stuff and shocking prices. Some really great furniture, that was pretty expensive and some really bad furniture that was really cheap (in quality and in aesthetics). There were also some great linens at decent prices, nothing that you can't get for the same price during a Macy's sale. I think I'll be going back after Christmas for further exploration into the kitchen items. read more

I absolutely love this Home Goods. It is less crowded than most other stores and their selection is good. I visit this store as much as possible. So glad Home Goods has so many cute and inexpensive items. The employees are friendly and they have a decent return policy as well. read more

I came in here and instantaneously felt giddy strolling through aisles. Being a new home owner, and I guess being a grown up, my shopping priorities and joys have somewhat shifted. Home furnishings have piqued my interest lately. They have some great. high quality HOME GOODS here. I mean, I practically convulsed from stopping myself to grab everything. Gosh...I do need new pots and pans set, a kettle, bed sheets, decors, candles.....*convulsing again* They have great pieces of furniture, like this antique-style side table that I just fell in love with. But being on a budget, I had to refocus and buy my friend's housewarming party present. I got a pretty reed diffuser and a hand soap and lotion set-- both for $20! Mark my words, HomeGoods, I will be back with money and go ape $hit! read more

Home Goods is a great place for picking up those accessories for your home. Like someone else reviewed, it is basically a Marshalls, Ross or TJMaxx for home goods. You can find lots of those finishing touches that make a room, well, finished, but don't expect to find original art or furniture that you will pass on the the kids. But, what is aims to do, provide decent stuff at good prices, it does very well. read more

My concept of HomeGoods is organized thrifting. While it's more organized and cleaner than most thrift stores, you're still forced to inspect all items properly and dig around for particular pieces. Now compared to other HGs I've been to, I find the selection is much better here. I was cutting through Moraga to beat some traffic when I happened across this. Figured why not stop in, I wasn't in a hurry and my gf wanted more artwork for the apt. I was surprised with what I was able to come away with. Overall everything was well kept. Seriously amazed by all the great deals! Here is what I scored: A cute white cake platter - only 10 bucks Another stainless steel dog bowl - 5 bucks Glass waterbottles (since I'm replacing my plastic nalgenes) - 7 bucks each Rug for bathroom - 10 bucks. There was a really cool modern mirror for 50 bucks. The deal is - if you love Ross's home section but are frustrated on the lack of good stuff - Homegoods is an entire store dedicated to good bargains. I'll never buy serving dishes from places like crate and barrel again - I will always check this place out first! I'm a llittle sad there isn't more of these around. Morago and Brentwood are a bit of a drive for most of the population of the Bay. read more

A great place to get all your home goods at discounted prices. The store is relatively organized and items are easy to find. The customer service here is actually pretty good. Their associates roam the store asking if they can be of assistance. Prices are about 25-40% off retail prices and there are some good deals to be found here. Definitely worth checking out if you are decorating your house. Much nicer that the crap you find at Ikea. read more

If I could give ZERO I would!! I was looking for TWIN bedding for my daughters room. I live pretty far away So I called several places and they did not have what I wanted (thank you for your honesty) I called Home Goods In Moraga and the guy who picks up the phone is not friendly at all and does not seem to want to answer my simple question on "do you have children's bedding or Twin size bedding , comforters, duvet, sheets in stock or available" So he huffs and says YES we have (and I quote) A TON of twin and children's bedding" I said ok so you checked I am coming from about an hour away! He scolded me and said YES I said we have plenty here I checked!! So I take my 3 year old and we drive to Moraga!!!! We get there an hour later I walk towards kids, then bedding.....(you ready) NOTHING NOT A ONE FREAKING Comforter, bedding, you name it. WHAT THE F*CK REALLY is what I am thinking as I look at my tired 3 year old I dragged out!! I find a lady who is IN THAT Department and hello she says " I don't know go ask that lady the russian one over there with the head set she knows that department" I said you mean THIS department! She said YES! REAAAAAAAAAALY So I go over to her. I POLITELY said, Hi the lady over there said you could be of assistance to me. I had called an hour ago and the gentleman on the phone stated you had PLENTY of childrens/twin bedding (duvet, comforter, sheets) in stock, out on the floor, I don't see anything, am I looking in the right place" Her f*t a$$ responds with " well, its what we have is out there" I said there is nothing there, that is why I called so I would not have to drive an hour" her f*t lazy behind did not even walk there she said well we are out, talk to the cashier...I said (now I am about to go 51/50 on her a$$ but am maintaining my cool as my 3 year old is watching and learning how we deal with idiots with jobs) this is not good when I call and am told a false thing I have wasted an hour drive and an hour back now this is just not how you treat people, maybe you should have people working here who can check on items and want to be here" She said "Whatever..." oh if my child was not with me....I would have taken that head set and shoved it up her ASS and taken it out of her ignorant mouth! So needless to say I will NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR go to the Moraga store again...way to go Moraga and TJ Max company who owns homegoods (tried to call them but good luck getting a number to call!! When I die, which will most likely happen as the result of an accident involving ruffled bloomers and a pogo stick, I want to be cremated. I used to say that I wanted my cremains to be placed in a cardboard box and then forgotten in the crematory warehouse for all eternity, or at least until the raccoons take over. But now I want my ashy bits scattered at HomeGoods, for it was there that I felt complete. See, I love crap. LOVE IT. And this place has the best crap EVER. Not only that, but it's cheap crap. From linens to garden shit to bath products to furniture to the St. Patrick's Day decorations this mick finds irresistible, they have it all. It's worth the trip to Honkeyland, believe me. read more

I bought containers that I discovered smell like diesel fuel or kerosene. I took them back to home goods for a refund on my credit card and without the receipt they only give you store credit? I'll spend the credit they owe me but after that I wont be shopping here due to there return policy. read more

Holy TOLEDO! I walked in here and I was in heaven... Bedding, China, Partings, Towels, Bake ware, Oh My! I LOVE home stuff and this store is full of it at unbeatable prices, you can't beat that. Anytime I can get a fabulous find on sale or for cheaper than the retailer stores, I'm happy! This is defiantly a place to visit if you are looking to decorate your place, they have so many great quality pieces for great prices. I'm all for being able to redecorate the house AND have money left over to host a Get Together since I bought everything on sale! =) read more

My living room would look so dull if it wasn't for this place! Every lamp in my apartment came from here, each one was $20 or less. I can get lost in there just wandering around looking at everything and wanting everything. I can and have spent hours in this store. Be aware of store policies. I found a gorgeous Italian terracotta covered casserole dish. It had a tiny chip on the edge of the lid. I made the mistake of asking if they would give me a discount for it. The manager snatched it from the checker. They will not sell any cookware or serveware that has a crack or chip. I pleaded, to no avail. I had to watch as the manager (who never apologized, although the cashier did) put that gorgeous object into the trash! So if you want something, don't mention that it has a problem or you may not be able to take it home. And yes, I checked, and their dumpster is locked! =( They do have fabulous things. I am giving 3 stars because I do actually like the store it self a lot. The major problem that I do have is with it's website. The website has absolutely no shopping and does not even advertise products. I usually shop around online for things I am looking for before I ever step foot in a store (as most shoppers now adays do). Great selection of random home furnishings for your house. We just bought our first home so moving from a tiny one bedroom to a 5 bedroom house required lots of furniture and stuff to fill it. I have made several trips to HomeGoods mostly for their great selection of reasonably priced lamps. They have also some great wall mirrors and bathroom linens. We also got an awesome Tahari king size bed comforter set that looks and is the same material and quality as the Pottery Barn set I had my eye on but for 1/3 the price! This is a dangerously wonderful store. Cooks will love all of the kitchenware: pots, pans, containers,etc. (brands like Le Creuset, All Clad), and food stuff. Stationery lovers -- omg -- Anna Griffin, Vera Bradley, Vera Wang, (wow! when did Vera become a common name?), Calvallini (journals, magnets, those fabulous file folders,etc). lots of items (bedding, toys, some books, decor) for kids too. On occasion (usually around the winter holidays), they also carry Chronicle Books gifts. Also many items to decorate your home: lamps, rugs, furniture, vases, bedding, bathroom items (soap dishes, wastepaper baskets, etc), fun fake "steamer trunks", wall hangings, tons of dishware. If you love this sort of store, you won't be disappointed. Please note, however, that items come and go; sometimes you'll hit the store just right, sometimes not. BTW, if you're hungry, there's a Nations Restaurant on the opposite end of the strip and, having tested BLT's at all the Nations, has the best BLTs and great fries. Between Home Goods and Nations, sits an excellent TJMaxx. read more

WOW, this place is literally discount home decor HEAVEN for a Pinterest addict! I was so shocked at all the gorge knick knacks, furniture, mirrors at such AMAZINGGG affordable prices. This will definitely be my go to stop for home decor and for times that I'm bored and want to wander. Not to mention, the city of Moraga is so adorable to walk around. My friend and I found several cute restaurants that we want to try next time. :) read more

Prices are always right and they have so much clearance items! It's clean , well organized and maintained always. Overpriced home stuff usually imported from India, Pakistan etc. Anyways, was looking for a framed mirror of a particular size and actually found two here. Perfect. Should have checked them closely since one of the mirrors had that blemish behind the glass situation (one that can't be fixed). I returned it and pointed it out to the young lady who accepted the return. I browsed around for a while and as I was leaving saw her putting it back on the shelf. SMH read more

I have to say this is probably my favorite store. My whole house is decorated with things from here. I'm like a kid in a candy store when I walk in. I don't know where to look first because there's so many shiny, colorful, pretty things to look at! I have gotten everything here from furniture, dishes, towels, bedding, rugs, lamps, you name it. I especially love their huge selection of artwork. I have run out of room on my walls because I buy too much artwork from here!!! Anyway, you must visit this store. read more
