The broth was heavy on the citrus and not particularly authentic -- missing that turmeric and chili character you expect in a proper laksa -- and the toppings were kind of sparse. The noodles were also medium-thickness, whereas authentic laksa should be thin vermicelli and/or yellow noodles. Oh well. It was decent for what it is, but ultimately unsatisfying and not good value. The moment I step in, one of the staff explained the concept of Tibit to me. Items are clearly labelled. We very much enjoyed sharing each item. The burger's seitan patty was generous, and it was served on a remarkably buttery-tasting vegan brioche bun with crispy lettuce and caramelized onion. The Moqueca had an outstanding flavour profile consisting of light and creamy coconut milk, fresh tomato, hearts of palm, and plantain slices all cooked to perfection and served over white rice. Our add-on, the two risole, two coxinha combo, was a nice choice to round out the meal. I preferred the coxinha slightly, though both were delicious. Tooth-pleasingly crispy on the outside, chewy potato and filling on the inside, they would be perfect beer food. The ambience was pleasant. We spent half our meal sitting at one of the three sidewalk tables until it began to rain. Moving inside just as the brief early-fall downpour began, we were then able to also experience the indoor vibes. Cafe jazz played, an art installation on the wall provided a spot of colour, and green plants in the window rounded out the look.
