I'm most definitely biased but IMO, Thai food in London isn't authentic (at least here it wasn't). It's dressed up but the flavor profile is so muted (perhaps for the British palate). The wife and I got the prix fixe meal for 2 to get a overall taste of their offerings. The soup was meh. Crying tiger beef was seasoned well but cooked poorly - a bit tough to eat. Overall the food here is a far cry from what I'm used to but maybe I can chalk that up to the differences in preferences between diners in the US and UK. The decor and service here was good but the price was pretty hefty for a ho hum meal. Not a fan. read more

Food is tasty salty but service minimal if you are a single diner. I was seated at the periphery near the door so whenever someone came or went, treated to a blast of cold. Very surprised they won an award for hospitality when they treat single diners with cold shoulders. Thought to get any attention or service once food is just dropped off. read more

I just had a really bad meal and needed something to clear my palate. I came across this restaurant and it looked like the food would taste pretty good. Probably one of my favorite meals while I visited London. Right when we entered, the smell of delicious food hit me. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and Pad Si-ew. Portion sizes of these dishes were awesome and filling. Chicken Pad Thai- This dish was pretty good! I expected thicker noodles, but the thin noodles were cooked perfectly and held flavor well. Sadly, this dish was a little sweet for my taste. The bean sprouts were nice, but there needed to be a bit more. Pad Si-ew- I recommend ordering this one out of the Pad Thai and the Pad Si-ew. It had similar flavors to Chinese Fried Noodles. I appreciated the meat, it was flavored pretty well, but I just wish that it was more tender. Definitely not too sweet like the other one (because I'm a savory gal). Love this place! Absolutely recommend, and when I come back to London, I will come here again. read more

Good thai food near Tower Hill area. We walked in at about 6:30 on a rainy Friday evening and this place wasn't busy at all. It is also quite huge, so can easily seat around 70 - 90 people at a time. We ordered the Chicken and Prawn on Toast (£6.95) as our starter... 4 pieces were served. It was okay, a bit on the greasy side though. Did not really enjoy it as it did not have any special taste! We also ordered the Tom Kha Gai soup (£6.95), which was really nice. Other than the lemon grass/bamboo, everything about the soup was delicious! For main course, we ordered the Green Curry with Beef (£9.25) and Drunken Noodles with Chicken (£9.50). Both entrees were pretty good and definitely on the spicier side. They had a nice kick to it, thanks to the red pepper! Drunken noodles although, again, were on a rather greasier side. Towards the end of it, I just wanted to finish my dish! Service was excellent. This is my first ever Thai so can't really compare it to anything but I absolutely loved it! The restaurant was really quiet for a Friday which was quite nice! We had a mixed starter with king prawns, chicken and prawn sesame toast, dumplings and satay chicken. All were really nice! I tried the Thai green curry with coconut rice, the portions were huge! My boyfriend had weeping tiger and sticky rice, again he loved it. The service was really good with staff taking the time to talk us through all the dishes and not rushing us at any point. The food is soooooo good here. The best Tom yum soup I have ever had. Great mango sticky rice. Salt and pepper squid is well cooked too. If you like thai food, you have to come. Service is top notch. I highly recommend this place. read more

Decent food, decent price, not amazing service. Very beautiful setting for a Thai restaurant in the Aldgate/Tower Hill area. We enjoyed an assortment of dishes, starting out with the prawn crackers appetizer, which was served with a spicy jelly. We also ordered the red curry, Pad Krapraw (Thai basil chicken), pad Thai and Pad Si-Ew with egg fried rice. The Red Curry wasn't quite spicy enough for my taste, and the Pad Thai was a bit heavy on the fish sauce, but the Pad Krapraw and Pad Si-Ew were excellent! Definitely a popular spot for dinner - the place was packed on a weeknight with business types. All in all, I can definitely recommend. read more

Went to Thai Square Minories with 2 colleagues at about 6:45 PM on a Monday evening and we all had a very nice supper. The main floor of the restaurant was 50% occupied at the time and there was more than enough wait staff. The food came quite promptly and with a smile. Dishes were cleared away promptly, and in some cases surprisingly so. Ambiance in the restaurant was pleasant. While I cannot recall what they had, I ordered the Tom Yum Goong Lek soup and the Pla Chu Chi, both of which were excellent. We also had an order of prawn chips to share - delicious. So I went to this place with our management team after our 1st day at an offsite meeting. We had booked place for all & everything went as expected. Then we were greeted by the staff who were really keen on getting our drink orders, which is a really nice thing to have. It's better than having to wait for a long time. But when it came to ordering our food we were not very happy as we were forced to order in a certain way which was not very pleasing. We wanted to order all our food at the same time, with starters & soup being delivered at the start & main course after, but the staff forced us to order starters & main course separately which was a but confusing for us. Also the portions were delivered as calculation for people rather than portions being delivered as is always prepared Service was a bit weird as water was served for some people & not for others. We had ordered a few dishes & we did not get 1 of them delivered but were billed, after we enquired the bill was updated but it took a bit of while. I give the service here 4 stars, they are excellent. Attentive, helpful and just spot on. The problem is that the food is just OK. I'll admit to being a harsh critic having had some of the best Thai food ever in Chiang Mai and Bo Phut. That said, after two times, I just find the food bland and boring. It is a good place to have a business lunch though. There isn't a lot in the area, so it is a good choice for a business lunch. If you have a few more minutes though, there is Haz not too far away with some nice Turkish fare that I find to be better quality. read more

The service is lovely, the food is very nice - it is really not very authentic, so if you want real Thai food, try somewhere else. This is part of a restaurant chain. The food quality was okay, I have had better in other cities. The menu is large and covers the traditional Thai fare. Items marked as spicy were pretty bland. I found that the dessert was the best part of the meal. The decor is beautiful and the staff very attentive. If your in the neighborhood try it but don't go out of your way. read more

The food is definitely the highlight so if you go, do takeout. We had a big party and they completely destroyed the drink order. When we tried to correct it, they insisted we got what we ordered. Ok, get past that. We were careful to order. Here they got it right but we had 13 people. The first half of the order came out at once. When we asked about the rest, they said the other dishes took longer to prepare. The next wave came ten minutes later but still missing two plates which did not arrive for another fifteen minutes. I went to Thai square for a light lunch and as Thai food goes it wasn't bad. I ordered a Tom Yum soup which was perfectly Tom Yummy and some marinated grilled chicken, which was ok, not amazing. I've eaten enough Thai ffod to last a lifetime and it has to be pretty special to get a raised eyebrow and lick of the lips from me. This one was a good enough average. read more

this is a huge restaurant that caters for parties big or small. importantly the food is good and the service efficient. the setting is pleasant and is well located to some decent bars and transport. most people wont be disappointed by this establishment but its safe bet. read more
