The food was tasty but they come in small portions, so, if you are 'hangry' you may want to look for a quick sandwich that fills you up as the prices are not too budget friendly. My son and I ordered sauteed beef, chicken satay, crying tiger beef, thai tea, and white rice (of course). Located in Kensington on Cromwell Road and made reservations on the day of. They are pretty small with probably 10 or less tables. Very modern romantic interior. Decent service provided by all wait staff. I would say portions are somewhat generous and prices aren't outrageous for the area. The pad thai and curry were tasty and cooked very well. Absolutely amazing dishes. Best papaya salad I have ever had, hands down. Staff are courteous and accommodating and provide excellent service. I came in around 9 on a Friday and it wasn't that busy as they were closing early for Good Friday. I didn't get any of those chips though.. the table after me did :(. I ordered chicken pad thai and a Thai iced tea. It came out fairly quick. I think my server was training so everything was really Slow and I had different people waiting on me as well which was funky. It's a nice quiet place for dinner and there is no rush. Thai iced tea was good but small and the chicken was moist so that was good. They add auto gratuity so no need to tip extra. Good place for Thai food as it's pretty decent. Most other Thai Restaurants would have offered tofu as an option for all the dishes, increasing the vegetarian options, Which Thai Taste does not. I ordered the stir fried prawns with asparagus. We were staying here in London and decided to get some Thai food. We had seen this down the road from where we stayed. We decided to give it a go. It had been a busy day, so we opted for an appetizer as well as a dinner. We both ordered Satay Chicken for an appetizer. It was excellent. My wife is gluten free and they made ours that way. I ordered the Chili chow Sea Bass. It is a curry dish that had a little heat. It was tasty and perfectly cooked. The stir fried egg rice was outstanding compliment to the fish. My wife ordered the Pad Thai Chicken that was prepared for her gluten free. It was yummy. Bill's wife ordered the Pad Thai with Prawns. She said that it could have been a little spicier, but was extremely satisfied. Bill ordered the Gai Phad Manuang Chicken. He said that it was tasty, but needed more chili's. This dish is served over egg fried rice. The server brought the extra chili's and the dish was top notch. I found this place on Yelp, and as we needed a restaurant near our hotel we decided to try it out. I'm very glad we did. My partner and I enjoyed a tasty 'Crispy pork-filled wonton' appetizer, which wasn't quite like anything we've had before. Mains consisted of Pad Kee Mao (similar to Chicken Pad Thai) and Sizzling Beef. Both were beautifully presented, delicious and satisfying. If you're contemplating a visit to Thai Taste I can say that the food is delicious, ambience trendy and relaxing, and staff friendly. My wife and I traveled to London for a week from New York and had our dinner here. We ordered the yellow curry, pad see ew as main course and fish cake, dumpling as appetizer. The space is ok, clean and seats are comfort but just little too tight. Foods are ok, I say it's little above average because we tried so many good Thai restaurants in New York and in Thailand. Ah-ma-zing. So much that we ate here thrice in 3 days! We arrived to London - 3 hungry hippos who just got off the train from Brussels - and were desperate for food. We quickly yelped the area in which we were staying in and saw that this place received pretty good ratings. We quickly left the door (not giving 2 rats about our appearance) and quickly bolted across the street. The restaurant was a lot more glam than we thought (we were picturing a casual Thai resto) but were greeted with fine white table cloths in an elegant setting. Since we were going to have dinner a couple hours later and only needed something quick to settle our stomachs, we only order a pad thai and a thai beef salad. The food was quickly prepared (it was dead given that it was about 3-4pm on a weekday, I think) and needless to say, it was scarfed down in seconds. The pad thai oozed with authentic-ness- flavours (no ketchup!) and was perfectly prepared. We went back the day after (and the day after that prior to departing home) and had 2 more meals here. Everything was so friggen tasty - definitely one of the best thai meals we've ever had. Even the Lemongrass Tea that my sister ordered was incredible - oozing with and infused with a pure, aromatic, strong lemongrass flavour (we were told the tea was imported from Thailand). A friendly local neighborhood restaurant with some pretty great food and an attentive staff. At first I was a bit nervous about being led down to the basement. I didn't have a reservation and they were rather busy for a Wednesday evening. Think 70's Lounge with dim mood lighting, that's what it looked like but it was actually kind of cozy and although not as upscale as the upstairs dining room it didn't detract from the meal. The black pepper calamari was excellent, really excellent and a good portion. The accompanying jasmine rice was a nice side. However, I wouldn't order the appetizer of dim sim again. It was a bit bland and lacked spice or salt. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, this was definitely a "visit again" type of restaurant. Reservations suggested. read more

Found Thai Tasty and it was delicious. We were seated right away and ordered spring rolls, pad Thai with chicken and Pad See Ew with Pork. Some of the best Thai food (outside of Thailand) I've had. I've gone to London for the London Book Fair each year for the past 3 years and each time we have at least one (usually more) dinners at Thai Taste. In fact, when we plan our dinner meetings, nights out and parties, I ALWAYS say "don't forget about at least one dinner at the Thai place," but we never do forget, so I guess I'm just obnoxious. Anyway, this place is really tiny, a long narrow dining area, with some sort of Thai travel video always playing on the TV, and a wall that's a mirror the full length of the restaurant. The wine list is small, the beer list is smaller, but the menu is pretty extensive, and the spice options are pretty impressive considering only one chili got my face swelling and made my water disappear instantly. I've never gone here and NOT ordered the duck spring rolls, they're amazing. All of the main dishes are big but not obnoviously huge, and the sides are a good size to share, but everything is absolutely delicious. The only complaint I have about this place is how cramped it is, but almost every restaurant I've been to in the UK is cramped, and very few have food this good. read more

We had not been here in over a year but we were pleasantly surprised that KC still remembered us from our last visit. That's impressive when you consider the thousands of people who've come through here in a year. The food is as we remembered it to be; very well executed and with distinct flavors, not all glopped together amorphously. If they have sea bass on the menu, we'd highly recommend it. In addition, the mango, sticky rice dessert is outstanding, with the rice done perfectly al dente. The place is very small, but is elegantly appointed, perfect for a date night. The food is fresh, delicious, and portions are relatively generous. The dim sum starter is great. There are four shiu Mai dumplings with roasted garlic on top. The spring rolls were just ok. The tom young soup was good but expensive for a small portion. The mains consisted of the soft shell curry crab. A must try!!!! The steamed sea bass was perfect. Stopped in to put in my to go order. Ordered green curry and Pad kee mao + tofu from the vegetarian menu. I stopped by Sainsbury during to pick up a few things while waiting and my order was ready a few minutes after i returned. Spice level is nice. Spicy is indicated on the menu. I liked how the vegetables were crunchy and fresh instead of being over cooked. I noticed every Thai place is a bit different when it comes to flavor and this spot was legit in my opinion. We came here on a Friday evening last minute after our other dinner plans had fallen through. I had earlier walked past this restaurant from the tube station and saw it was packed, so I made a mental note to go back. The inside is pretty small, but they were able to accommodate us quickly, which was really nice. The wait staff was helpful and friendly, but the shining star of the evening was the food. The food was absolutely fantastic. To start we had the chicken satay with a peanut sauce on the side, which was fantastic. Also, the prawn Tom yum soup was delicious - I'm a big fan of Tom yum, and it can be very variable between different places, but this is by far the best. Between us we had a Penang curry, which was fragrant and flavorful, and paired nicely with the coconut rice. In addition, we had one of the specials, the weeping tiger, a beef dish that was out of this word - almost like the Thai version of fajita beef, it was tender and delicious and prepared with extra spice per our request that really put it into amazing territory. We had a few members of our group that met up with us late, and the staff was very kind and accommodated them after their closing time. I would absolutely return here, and plan to pretty much every evening I'm here, and would emphatically suggest it to anyone looking for outstanding food! read more

I arrived outside of rush hour and it showed. Service was fast, pleasant and accurate in their order taking. My beer arrived quickly along with free prawn / fish crackers. The Tom Yam Goong was spicy and very authentic in taste as well as ingredients. My Pad Thai had been left sittling for a little while so the noodles were sticking together more than normal but the flavour was still excellent. The sticky rice with mango was good but the rice was a little too dry for me to say it was a perfect sticky rice dessert. However, overall, I was very happy with my meal and its tastes. Love the yellow curry with chicken, potatoes and onions. My husband loves their red curry with chicken and bamboo shoots (a little spicier) and my friend really likes their pad thai. Prompt service, small space but never crowded. The decor is simple and elegant. We've always been seated right away and the food comes out quickly. We're in and out of there in no time. And the prices are reasonable. They bring out a bowl of fish flavored pork rinds before the meal (a little fishy for my taste!), and at the end the bring some mints with the check. We first tried this place after checking yelp for high rated thai places near our flat in South Kensington. We far prefer Thai Taste to Thai Square down the road.
