    Green curry with sticky rice
    Kayla M.

This quaint little restaurant is a hidden gem in the Victoria district in London. Being from Hawaii, we were impressed by their yummy Thai food! Came here for a late dinner after our evening walking tour of Westminster. We ordered the Pad Kie Mow (spicy, but good) and the green curry with sticky rice. Both were amazing and a delicious way to end our night. Sri Suwoon was a great change to the typical pub fare we've been eating on our trip lately. I'd definitely recommend coming here with a group of family or friends! They have a nice downstairs cavern with a bar and restrooms. Street parking or 7-10 mins walk from Victoria Station.

We came around 9pm, got seated right away. The food came out pretty quick. Everything tasted good. We ordered selection appetizers, fried rice, beef tenderloin salad, sea bass with basil spices, and seafood soup. For dessert we got the coconut ice cream, it tasted ok. We had better else where. Pretty good Thai restaurant. Don't order Thai tea, it's like water down Thai tea with water ice and condensed milk.

I always forget to photograph BEFORE eating. Was delicious though!

Everyone appreciates different things in a restaurant. For some people there's nothing more important than the food. For others it's the location. And for others it's that indefinable thing 'atmosphere'. For me, I like fairly specific things, even within those sub-sections. Food should be delicious (ok, not particularly specific), the location should be close to home, and the atmosphere, most of all, should be quiet and well-lit. Yes, I am an old man in my mid-twenties, and Sri Suwoon is the perfect restaurant for me. I often go there as a weekday evening treat and it is rarely busy, meaning we usually get a nice quiet seat by the window. Rather than obnoxiously loud music, they prefer a low-key Massive Attack soundtrack which is great cos then I can hear what people are saying. But, ultimately, I wouldn't keep going back to Sri Suwoon if the food wasn't good, which it is. I can say with a reasonable degree of conviction that this is the best Thai restaurant in Pimlico. I usually start with the Tom Kar (or Kha) which is enormous, creamy and with tender, lemony chicken. I am a Tom Kha aficionado and few places do a better soup than Sri Suwoon. For my main course, I am a committed devourer of the Gang Mussaman with sticky rice - the meat is, once again, uncommonly tender, and the sauce is just delicious. I could quite happily sit through this set meal (Tom Kha/Gang Mussaman/Jasmine tea) every night for the rest of my life. My dining companions often have prawn dishes, which they rave about and we've tried a variety of the starters, including the veggie spring rolls and the chilli squid, and they've all been good. I think that Sri Suwoon is a flawless restaurant for quick and easy weekday night dining. The decor is super low-key and it might not be the best fit for date night or birthday parties, but it's a great place to go and spend £15-20 on a delicious dinner.

My friend and I were looking for a quiet place to enjoy an evening meal near our hotel. Thanks to Yelp we were guided to Sri Suwoon. It was exactly what we were looking for. Sri Suwoon looks like it is located in a converted house with two floors of dining space. The interior is warm, charming, and inviting. The service was incredibly friendly and perfectly timed. My friend and I enjoyed two different curry dishes with a bottle of white wine. I had a green curry, and she had a seasonal curry. They were both tasty and delicious. I hadn't seen my friend in several years and we enjoyed several hours catching up over great food at Sri Suwoon. We also enjoyed a delicious light dessert. I was having such a good time I don't remember what it was, and I forgot to get a pic. Everything tasted fresh, and was full of flavor.

They don't close at 6. They are open until 10:45 every day. Yelp says they close at 6, but they don't. I am glad that we called, because the food was extremely delicious. The prawn satay appetizer was perfect. The curry was nice. They made it more spicy upon my request, which was quite nice of them. I prefer to leave a tip when the service is great, which it was. This place is the only place in London that has allowed me to put the tip on my card. Also nice! And the ambiance music was uber relaxing. This place is a must if you are in the area and hungry for some great food.

We ordered ox tongues, fish cakes, satay, spring rolls, fried chicken wings, fried eggs and duck curry. They are all impressive as the photos in the menu. The ox tongues dish was the most impressive one. All of us said that we never tasted ox tongues as tender as this place. The duck curry was my 2nd favorite. The curry was flavorful and the portion of duck meat was generous. The servers are super friendly here. The ambiance was appealing. It gave me a welcomed feeling. My party enjoyed this last meal we had in London. We recommended this place to our friends who live in London right after the meal. I think I will come back again next time I visit London.

Very nice service! I had the vegetarian green papaya salad, and another vegetarian dish with wide flat noodles, the spicy version. The green papaya salad was absolutely delicious. It's one of my favorite thai dishes, but I never thought to order it vegetarian, and I liked it even better without the fish sauce. My second dish was not as good. It had a slightly weird taste in it. And as dishes started being delivered to the tables around me the whole place just had that weird smell about it.

With just the two of us, we got a table right away but a larger group may have issues. The tables are close together, so if you want to have a private conversation, this is not the place. You will get to know the folks at the table beside you, whether you want to or not. We're pretty chill and fine with that though! We split an order of Shrimp Pad Thai and also had spring rolls. We do this to avoid leftovers or wasting food. The Pad Thai had lots of peanuts which gave it crunch. The spring rolls were piping hot, and I only wished I had more dipping sauce for them. London in general is more expensive than a lot of European cities, so lunch wasn't cheap, but it was about what we expected for the location.

No one bothered to explain the menu, and when I asked if the fried rice could be made spicier, all they offered was some chili paste on the side. Not exactly what I was hoping for. I ordered the vegetarian jungle curry, but it was a letdown--no real texture or flavour, just kind of bland. On top of that, the prices were way too high for what you get. Honestly, this was one of the most underwhelming Thai food experiences I've had in London. Definitely won't be going back, and I don't think I'll miss it.

Clearly feeling overwhelmed. Placed an online order that was projected to be ready at 8:10 pm. I got there at about 8:15pm and the woman that greeted me was pretty calm cool and collected even though the place was JAM PACKED- with several people waiting outside to pick up delivery orders or waiting to be seated. She was multitasking for sure- taking orders at tables, dealing with Uber Eats folks, as well as people coming in for a table, and me picking up my online order. It was a bit of chaos but she said to give her 2 mins. I said I'll give you 5 trying to be cool because she was working hard. About 13 mins later a young woman (20s or so) came over and asked me to step outside. I politely told her 'that woman' (pointed in the nice lady's direction) said I could wait here, so I'd rather stay here to get my order. Based on her facial expression and the fact that she went to another employee to obviously complain about me - I wasn't going to budge - and get sent outside to be forgotten about. My order was given to me by the nice woman about 8:45pm- 35 mins after the time stated online. A bit aggravating for sure but thanked the nice lady for being so nice. Speaking from my personal and professional experience people can generally forgive a lot of things if the person they are dealing with is nice. All that to let you know that my family and I thought the food was pretty darn good. I will definitely get the chicken wings again as they were cooked perfectly and with just the right amount of crispness to them.

I have to say the broth of the coconut soup was 5 stars. It was delicious with complex favors. I also liked the mushrooms in it. The chicken was a bit disappointing. It was basic but not well cut. Many of the chucks were quite large for soup (maybe they use the same chicken for everything?). We also had shrimp pad Thai which oddly was listed under the sides and vegetable section. I also found it odd that you had to order rice separately, why would this not come with your entree as a normal side? The presentation was lovely. All in all it was good, but not amazing. The noodles were cooked well and there were two large grilled prawns. This is not really a restaurant for children and there were two small children at the table next to use. After they left the window was covered with small, greasy hand prints.
