Came here with my friend. Got the nasville hot chicken sandwich. The chicken was nice with a good kick of spice. The bun I do wish had been toasted but that I would say is preference. Fries were nice and thick but I do like them alittle more crispy and alittle more salt. I did like the toppings on the fries the truffle cheese gave it a unique flavor with the burger patty. Ordered plain double cheeseburger to go and then they called my order out exactly how I asked for it, plain double cheeseburger, but when I got it was a single patty burger with sauce onions and pickles. I'm allergic to pickles and wasn't even able to eat it. I'm psised off I just paid $20 for something I can't eat. I was also the only person in the restaurant so not sure how you mess up that badly read more

I love this place. I eat here like once a week. Their fries are truly amazing. I've brought them to rich people's houses and they could not put them down. I particularly like their truffle fees. Their chicken sandwiches are really big. My fav is the buffalo chicken one. They have a good burger, fry and drink combo. Strawberry lemonade is bomb. My wife and I stopped in for a return visit for take out. It's a little hole in the wall type place. I need to watch your food being made. We were greeted by a friendly guy who took our order. We got the cheeseburger with truffle fries and bacon, blue burger, bacon blue cheeseburger with Dutch fries. The Dutch fries have their garlic, lemon, aïoli and curry, ketchup with scallions and doesn't sound like it should go together, but it definitely goes together and well. Everything was indulgently delicious, the kind that you know you're going to have to work off somehow and we didn't even get the boozy milkshakes this time! If our waists could take it, this would definitely become one of our go to spots! read more

My first visit to home frite was last year. Had their truffle fries and a frozen margarita. Fries are delicious and the drink was tasty. Visited recently to try their burger. My son and I ordered the truffle burger, via Postmates. They have a Bogo deal. We both agree, it was the worst smash burger We've ever had. The lettuce is spring mix, which we didn't feel paired well, the patty is so bland (his burger was raw) yuck and the the truffle sauce was mushy and not good. I also had a side of fries, which again are tasty. He had a milkshake, which was also not good, half of it was whip cream. Staff was pleasant and the place seemed clean. Small area for some dine in eating. I would stick with the fries if I stop here again. read more

They have a seating area now, yay! Also I have to admit I am not much of a milkshake person, but I kept stealing my bf's spiked cookies & cream shake (yes, Home Frite has a liquor license & corresponding drink menu!)-- the shake was just too good. While I usually go for the salads here, which are dreamy, this time, I tried the smokehouse BBQ cheeseburger and had a bite of bf's bacon chili dog, and I have to say that both were divine. We also were gifted free fries with spicy ketchup and chipotle aioli (yum!) and a rum cocktail from the menu because we attended the grand re-opening event this past Saturday to celebrate the store's new dine-in space. I am consistently impressed by the food and service at Home Frite, and I hope to see them grow across the city and beyond. The quality of their menu items and prices can't be beat. read more

Cravings are dangerous because they may cause you to go against common sense. I read the reviews on here and on DoorDash and still choose to order delivery. BIG MISTAKE! The fries smelled like the cheap truffle oil most places use but were cold, had a fishy taste and pre shredded Parmesan cheese. I'm so pissed because this was my main reason for ordering. The five piece "boneless" wings had me even more furious. $8.20+ tax for those slightly bigger than popcorn chicken hard dry ass burnt pieces. Also had that old oil taste. Didn't even take half a chicken breast to produce. I'm so tired of the restaurants playing in people face and robbing them blind. Basically $25 not including tip and straight in the trash. NEVER AGAIN. I will tell anyone with a pulse not to waste their money either. read more

AI BOT LOCATION. DO NOT ORDER. Pro Tip: ordered online as usual realized I needed to alter the order. Called the local location. What sounded like a human answered and tried to find the order and said I did not have an order wasted a few minutes in a phone system before realizing AI bot and had to ask it if it was human. Did not announce that it was AI or that you were not speaking to the actual location in your neighborhood. Once transferred to location they spent 5 mins telling me how I used the system wrong and you have to ask to be transferred. DUH! Don't tell customers they're doing something wrong when your system is not designed well. Frustrating will find a new neighborhood place run by humans that feels like a neighborhood place. read more

Home Frite's food actually tastes as yummy as it looks in photos. When I call for a delivery, my food is still hot which I truly appreciate. The crispy chicken sandwiches are tasty, the burgers are juicy and superb. The fries are a warm, crispy, toasty must. Get into the spicy ketchup. I've tried a few of the boozy shakes and the Hennessy shake is my favorite. I got a real buzz after guzzling one down. Ordered on doordash so cant speak to the service. Ive visited this location before and its a great spot on a busy street in bedstuy. It looked like a great spot for burgers and fries so i placed an order. I got the hamburger and churro shake. The burger was really affordable ~$7. I ordered through Uber Eats and the food was phenomenal. I was hesitant because of the mixed reviews but what type of Yelper would I be if I didn't try it out for myself? First, let me start by saying that the chicken sandwich is probably one of the best I've ever had. I've had many chicken sandwiches that were superb but the flavors Home Frite put together for their chicken sandwich was mind blowing delicious. I opted to remove the chipotle sauce and use ranch dressing instead. The hot dog was mediocre but that's not what I wanted to try so it still gets a pass from me. The truffle fries were absolutely delicious and the combo salad was also so so good. The peach lemonade was underwhelming and it didn't taste like peach at all but it was still very good. The WAIT TIME at the window! I'm only giving it 2 stars based on customer service at night. Also, it's Saturday so I could be really just in my feelings, but I love this fucking place. The fries are my absolute favorite on the block. So I decided to drop by after a store run, so my hands are full of shit. I'm waiting at the window for like 10 minutes. I mean I get that they are busy, but it would have been nice if the person at the window opened it and asked us politely to wait or just to acknowledge me standing there. Again, this feels very petty and very small. I just think being a little bit more thoughtful of customers waiting could improve business. i've only done pickup from here, but can attest that the fries are delicious! Prepared fresh, crispy, but big enough to enjoy the potato-y goodness within each fry, not too salty, and uniquely flavorful. So why not 5 stars? They NEGELECTED to include my dipping sauce, even though the app REQUIRED me to select one. Truly first-world problems, but if i paid for a sauce, i should get it. Instead, i was left driving home with tasty, yet sub-par, dry fries. Not a tragedy, but not a winning experience either. i'll be back, but i expect to get what i paid for. read more

Wednesday take-out/pick-up dinner for 2. I biked past this place many times and always saw a queue outside so decided it was time to try it out mid-week. We ordered the chicken sandwiches and truffle fries, and a few sodas. We biked over to a nearby park to enjoy them on a bench. The temperature of the sandwiches was not piping hot, which was disappointing as we ordered at the outdoor window and waited for it to be ready to-go. The fries were so underwhelming - a bit soggy as well which is a big no-no. It seemed like the food had been sitting under a heat light for a few hours. For the price, it's a great appetite filler but was not enough to satiate our palates. Maybe next time, I'll just try the burger. read more

Had this at Smorgasburg Prospect Park The truffle seasoning was SO GOOD (though I might be biased - I love truffle). Paired with the aioli dipping sauce, I couldn't ask for anything else. I've seen Home Frite at Smorgasburg this summer and have been meaning to try it. It's also conveniently located around the corner from me, so I decided to make my way over to try it! The Veggie Burger Sandwich was nothing too special. There weren't a lot of condiments on it, which I should've asked for. Their Dutch Fries were incredible, though! It is filled with so many flavors. I would definitely come back for their fries. When I ordered, I submitted it through DoorDash. I was tracking the prep time it provided, and it seemed awfully long. Food is good. But we have had at least two orders where they didn't deliver the sauces, which they make you pay extra for. This time we called to complain and they said they'd give us a credit. All fine so far. Then we get a call from another person a few minutes later saying we would have to leave a 5-star review to get a $3 credit for the sauces they didn't deliver. Okay I've been meaning to go here for a while being that its incredibly close my place but also just far enough (not really) to get me rethinking. I strolled over past Sunday lunch..due to an extreme craving for fresh hot fries. Luckily no line just few people waiting for their orders and few delivery pick ups. Ordered brunch burger, truffle fries, and a peach bellini for take out. No seatings in or out at this spot. Just take out and delivery. Also not fast food "fast". You have to wait a good 15-20 min so Id suggest ordering online prior. Burger was great, not a greesy overload that I sometimes love but nonetheless, juicy patty, nice bitter peppery spice with the arugula, egg and bacon made a good saltiness, and lemon garlic aioli, light sauce. Definitely filling if you get a side of fries. Truffle fries was amazing. I'm glad I took that walk over and back. Had the whole thing. And I normally don't dip fries on any kind of sauce but I dipped every fry on that aioli (same sauce as the burger). Lastly, Peach bellini in a paper cup and plastic lid. Not the cheapest.. But I have a soft spot for cocktails especifically for Sunday brunch cocktails and hey it tasted good so no complaints. read more

Heard that they serve up award-winning fries so we had to try them. When we saw the menu they have a fun list of dipping sauces. Got the French Fries with Avocado Herb and Sriracha Ketchup dipping sauce. The french fries themselves were slightly crispy and well-seasoned but the true star was the Avocado Herb dipping sauce. The Avocado Herb sauce was creamy and tangy, with a subtle hint of herbs that added a fresh and vibrant flavor. The Sriracha Ketchup, on the other hand, brought a spicy and bold flavor. read more

I visited Home Frite about two years ago while driving nearby in need of some food. Now I will briefly tell a funny story... Okay, so I bookmarked another restaurant called Pommes Frites located in Lower Manhattan and a very well known place for Belgian fries. I have been wanting to visit Pommes Frites for a while since hearing about it so long story short I thought Home Frite in Brooklyn was just a closer location,but the same restaurant. Before you all laugh at me, I found out eventually when I asked for their menu which included more than just fries and I compared the names. Now, for the food at Home Frite. I decided to order a crispy chicken sandwich with a side of frites aka fries. I must say it was just okay but would have probably been better if I had eaten it fresh. The sandwich was a bit salty, but the brioche bun was buttered and toasted. The fries were soggy so I cannot really comment much because I did not eat many of them. I loved Home Frite. I used to eat it every time I was in Brooklyn. One day though, I got the strawberry lemonade and there was a baby roach in it. I drank most of it because the drink had a bunch of pulp and stuff in it, and didn't realize it until I was halfway done. I keep wanting to get food there again because I miss the food and then remember that I almost drank a baby roach. read more

Otherwise food is decent. But I did have a rare instance where my burgers were not cooked entirely. An effort was made to send new ones but driver was sent to wrong location and once finally received was not only cold but still wasn't cooked to my specifications of "well done". Other part to story is I used Uber and although I sent pics as requested I was NOT refunded. So yeah will be a long whole before me and staff order again . read more

The fries tasted homemade like my moms. I loved the ketchup siracha sauce the most. The peach lemonade was amazing. The second time I went there I had the whisky lemonade because they were out of mai tai. The whisky lemonade was okay... I wish i got the peach lemonade again. Ordered from DoorDash last night due to a craving of delicious fries and they didn't disappoint. We bought the 1 Tray O' Fries which was so delicious, hot and had great texture. We tried the lemon aioli, special sauce and ranch. I would say the lemon aioli was my favorite but I'm sure it tastes even better with the truffle fries. The ranch isn't your traditional ranch, more of a sour cream and the special sauce tasted like a sweet and slightly spicy ketchup. It's a beautifully designed space, and we went in the evening so it was dimly lit and had good tunes, contributing to an intimate and cool vibe. The service throughout was good both by our primary server and the rest of the team that was bringing out dishes. For the food, we did not feel that it was a strong start, but the ending was great! The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. Just something to keep in mind if you're a wine lover!

It's a cute restaurant as well with open kitchen so great for a date if you're sitting at the bar or if you have a group the tables are pretty big as well. Overall, it's pretty spread out inside which I really appreciate and I have found that it's pretty easy to get a reservation last minute. I'm already looking forward to going again in the coming weeks!
