My partner and I made a reservation for 6:30 on a Saturday night, needing to attend a concert nearby at 8:00PM. Our server, Joey M., came right to the table and was apprised of our need to leave by 7:45. A&B Burgers was packed that night, so this was a good test of service. Joey brought our drinks within 10 minutes of taking the order and then took our burger order. It took about 25 minutes to arrive, and with a leisurely meal, we were able to depart at exactly 7:45 as requested. The burgers are definitely as good as I remembered when they first opened. My partner had the Nick's BBQ burger and I had the Black and Blue burger. Both were excellent: the Carolina BBQ sauce was tart rather than sweet, and the black and blue with onion crisps and bacon had just the right amount of blue cheese flavoring. The "hand-held" burger was just right for eating, neither overstuffed nor just too thin. I had the sea salt fries (good but not distinguished) and my partner had the side salad with a vinaigrette that sadly for her was balsamic and thick, although I loved it. We passed on dessert (not enough time). We each had the 9oz Black Stallion Cabernet ($21/glass) and it was good but overpriced for the quality. We walked out feeling that we had enjoyed a good pre-theatre meal for $100 including a tip. We were not able to stay for the music, but the one song we heard was promising had we stayed. We would return with reasonable expectations.

A friend of mine warned me this place wasnt as good as it was after it opened. My wife and I had…read morealready made a reservation before seeing a show at the Cabot Theater two hours before the show 03/28/26. We were being generous with the time we alloted to get two burgers. The server who took our order was friendly. But a bit aloof. Twenty minutes after we placed our order she came to our table apologized and gave us an excuse - we lost your order. She verified our order, she got my order wrong, but I said I'd be happy with either burger. Kitchen's don't "lose orders" once they are in the POS system they are there to stay. I mean a kitchen. can lose a ticket, or food can be taken to the wrong table, but the order is still in the POS system and can be reprinted. I'd bet she just didnt put it in. The food was acceptable but the burgers had clearly been sitting in the window as they were luke warm. The fries were still warm, so I blame the kitchen for that. The nice couple who was seated 8 minutes after us received their order 20 minutes before we did - moments after she told us "there was a mix up in the kitchen, we lost your order, what were you having? Was it...?". It shouldn't take over 50 minutes to get an $18-19 burger. I can forgive the server for making an error, but offer something. Anything. We were very clear that we were going to the show. The server pretended she knew who the musical guest was we were going to see, perhaps out of embarrassment, perhaps she was just being cordial, so she was keenly aware, just didnt care. When a guest goes out of their way to say they have theatre tickets it is a signal to the server to prioritize the table and warn the guests if they order something that takes the kitchen a long time to prepare. Any restaurant in a theatre district or even near a single theatre knows this. This didnt happen. When the food was late, the runner dropped the items on the table, and announced that my wife's burger was something different than what she had ordered. It was the correct burger, but seriously, get your act together. If I ever had a table that was being served so late I would show up with the runner, or deliver it myself. Even the drinks took forever. My wife had ordered a cider, delivered by another runner or a bartender. The second cider showed up with just a can during our 50 minute wait for 2 burgers, perfect opportunity to say this drink on the house. Even if that is technically illegal in MA it happens everywhere, Nope. They charged us "Full Boat". Didn't comp a drink, or offer a dessert, nothing. Lousy service for acceptable food. We could have gone to Sonics, or tried the new Whopper, or the Big Arch and had another drink at the theatre. The ambience was fine, the couple next to us who got their order in a timely manner wasnt impressed either.

The menu doesn't look particularly amazing, standard-ish pub fare (steak tips, fish&chips, mac&cheese) but they do them EXTREMELY well. The tips were tender and flavorful, the sneaky star of the entree was the salad with feta though. I'm pretty sure the feta was marinated in whatever outstanding salad dressing they use. The havarti grilled cheese with avocado, garlic aioli and fried egg...C'mon. You have to spend the extra $2 for the bacon jam, you will not regret it. I'm sure we've all seen truffle fries right? Some bullshit frozen garbage either drowned in cheap truffle oil, or "dusted" with truffle salt. Well, they don't do that crap here, however they do garlic fries. Hand cut, with whole cloves of roasted garlic all over. Not one or two cloves, like several heads worth of glorious, slow-roasted garlic. I managed to scrounge a couple spoonfuls of the kids mac&cheese from my son, almost lost a finger in the attempt and I found out why. They put just as much effort into the kids food as the adults. If you need a break from your witchy business in Salem, definitely stop in here.

It a small restaurant/bar but everything was beyond delicious and the service was excellent! We came here twice during our weekend stay. I swear I had one of the best cups of New England Clam Chowder I have ever had here, it was perfect. My husband also isn't a hummus fan but devoured our hummus appetizer- and I agree as the one who is actually a fan of hummus it was absolutely delicious. We also had a chance to try their burgers and WOW, every bite we took left us just wanting more and their fries were also amazing as well. Great cocktail menu and beer list, this place should absolutely be on your must try list when visiting Salem!

"It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality" - i picked it because of this quote on the menu, and i forgot how much i used to love p!atd. i thought to myself, "i've heard this before somewhere..." i loved the bread & roasted garlic butter, however on a little cutting board it was difficult not to make a mess. i guess that's part of what makes it "kitchen table." it is the perfect, round sourdough loaf with the most delicious butter. the roasted chicken was prepared flawlessly. juicy and tender inside, and a perfect crispy skin, just wow. i absolutely loved the selection of spring vegetables, along with the sherry sauce; sautéed spinach, carrots, mushrooms, and onions. the mashed potatoes were perfect once i added extra salt, extra pepper & whipped it up with more of that garlic butter to my liking, however it was prepared great. i requested it without bacon butter, how it typically comes prepared, and the garlic butter is a great substitute. everything was impeccable. i travel to boston often just for food, because i find that the food in beverly, as a whole, is just not up to par, even with all of the marketing. kitchen table is different than any other restaurant in beverly, and now i don't have to travel so far to get the most delicious meals! i am honestly blown away by how amazing my meal was, and i highly recommend kitchen table to anyone in the north shore, and i'd even say it's completely worth going out of your way for. whether solo, a romantic or friend date, or with a small or large group, kitchen table is here to serve (one of the best meals you've had in a long time). there were some other ladies at the bar that were extremely hospitable and helpful as well, i didn't catch their names this time. i wanted to take some pictures at the end of my meal, at closing time when it had emptied out, and molly encouraged me to take all the pictures i needed. just fantastic service by all of the staff. i couldn't be happier with my first experience at kitchen table. here's to many more! ambiance: 4.9/5 food: 5/5 drinks: 5/5 service: 5/5 kitchen table: 5/5

If I'm being completely honest we expected the food to be ok but not the best as that's typically how places like this are. We were so wrong!! We started with the mozzarella sticks and they were out of this world. Next up was Caesar salads; not the best but still good- they needed more dressing and it needed to be a creamier dressing but the lettuce blend was fresh and they put a ton of cheese and croutons. Unfortunately we had to take our dinners to go as we were running short on time. We should have planned to have been there longer; this was the only issue we had. Unfortunately they only had two servers and they were slammed. The food was great but the service just too long. If we didn't have somewhere to be we wouldn't have been phased by it; we wouldn't have even noticed how long everything took because we were so immersed in the environment. When we got home we had our dinners and again we were expecting them to just be ok because we were heating them up. Again we were wrong! I had the short rib sandwich and it was AMAZING, loaded with onions and mushrooms it was crazy good. My husband had the steak tips and again phenomenal. We will definitely be back when we have nothing to do afterwards. *I'd like to add the staff was great just very busy!
