I live in ATL and I go to WR to visit my daughter every couple of weeks. We have been looking for a spot to get our nails done. IDK what it is about WR, but nails are freaking expensive there!! AT LEAST $5-$10 bucks more per service than I pay anywhere around my house. And then we found Hollywood Nails...The prices are great and the nail techs are experienced and easy to understand. There was no pressure to get add-ons either. I mean, c'mon girls! Do you really need gel polish on your toes? You climbing mountains in your bare feet???? We had 4 different techs work on us and they were all great. Plus, the very basic pedicure had our feet feeling like velvet!! Oh, and no kids under 6! So yeah, I totally recommend this place. PS... Don't be deterred by the run down ass shopping center it's in. The salon itself is immaculate. read more

I came in today (18March 2025) at around 2:45pm. I asked for a polish change (gel) and got a bad attitude and a bad French tip (just a thin line, which I was told was considered a design--no problem). But yes, the man (I did not get a name and it was only him) seemed frustrated with every request or clarifying question that I made, and it just wasn't a good time for me. When I got back to the car, I realized there's gel all under my nails that I had to remove which peeled off some on the side of my nails. ' I won't be back. This was the first time we tried the salon on recommendations of some mom's in our social media circles because they have children's sized chairs. When we walked in they instantly started our manicures. Both my mom and I experienced similar issues. The person who did mine rushed and didn't even bother to trim or shape them. I have natural nails but they were jagged and different lengths. I had to stop him before paint to ask if he was going to and he answered oh, I just assumed you like square. My nails have never been remotely square. My mom was too shy to speak up and hers were never shaped either. No salon has ignored that basic step before. The gel lamps were scorching hot which was very unpleasant. They did not try to dry my mom's nails who opted for the non gel kind, which now we realized was a terrible order to do 2 services. With wet nails they sent her to remove her shoes and socks for the pedicure which messed up the paint and had to be redone. They put my daughter in the first child chair while Sam started my treatment. Sam was professional and did a good job. Kevin who did my mom's pedicure was good too. Had we only come for the pedicures from Sam and Kevin I would not be writing this poor review. While sitting there my daughter started announcing that a "Big Bug" had just come running out from under my chair. There was a large roach and Sam looked nervous and was hoping she'd stop loudly bringing attention to it. He looked relieved when I changed her focus elsewhere. I was grossed out but tried my best not to let it tarnish my opinion since it's a business with a lot of water elements. When Tammie finally came to start on my daughter the machine she sat at wasn't working so they moved her over to the other machine. I thought it was going well but not even an hour after we got home my daughter already had 3 nails completely devoid of paint. I fussed at her thinking she chewed on them and felt bad about fussing when the next morning one of my nails popped off. I saw others starting to as well. Every gel I've had before stayed on forever. We'd gotten those treatments so our trip for Thanksgiving would be more special. Instead we were explaining that they somehow fell off and completely embarrassed. When we got back I went down showed them proof where the nails didn't last and they refused to redo them. Instead they offered to give us half off of painting again $20 for me $10 for her. The lady said they don't guarantee their gels for a week. I pointed to the timestamp and said they didn't last a few days. They weren't going to do the right thing and honor their work so I told her I'd try to come back because we had to be at a class. The more I thought about it I said forget that. If they don't guarantee anything for a week why should I give them my business. The other salons work lasted until my nails grew out. Why should I go back and pay more money for a service that didn't last 24 hours and would not be guaranteed even a week. I absolutely do not recommend Hollywood nails and will make sure to tell everyone I meet not to go here. read more

They were busy, however they put us in chairs and left us there for almost an hour with no water in tub, etc. My friend and I just sat there and tried the different massage features on the chair. I went to this establishment Thursday, by Monday night 3 nails had lifted up and came off. Tuesday morning I went to get them fixed and the lady at the door, tells me well that happens and tells me I'll need to pay to have them fixed. Mind you I brought back all 3 nails because they weren't broken they lifted off. The gentleman fixed them, and the following day 2 more nails lifted off. I spent $68 plus a tip for a fresh full set that didn't even last a week. I will not be returning ever again and will never refer them to anyone. read more

Very clean and professional. I went with my sister n law and they did a great job on both of our nails. I wanted matte black coffin nails and boy did she deliver! I walked out only wanting these nails for the rest of my life! Lol. I just moved here and was looking for a pedicure. I don't go regularly, but wanted to treat myself. Everyone was friendly and efficient. The massage chair was wonderful and everything appeared to be very clean and sanitized. My calluses feel amazing, which isn't an easy task as a runner. But that night, the non gel polish peeled entirely off two of my nails. I wasn't picking or didn't bump a toe. I didn't even put shoes on at all after I had them done. I don't expect non gel polish to last all that long, but under 8 hours was a little nuts. My pinky nails also aren't properly painted. Disappointed. Don't recommend... I asked for a full set and they look like a beginner nail artist did them. They did even touch my cuticles they look bad, the man cut them way too short and when I asked him to change he said it would cost extra... i just got plain white Acrylic nails ( no design) and the woman next to me had all types of designs and jewels on her nails. I was charged $42 for crappy looking nails while they were charge $45 for decent looking nails. This place use to be good years ago but idk what happed. One star doesn't do enough. read more

Had the worst experience today Saturday 4/17/21 at Hollywood Nail Salon. My daughter and I arrived at 9:27 am with the intent of being the first ones there. However when we got there, there were several people already there waiting. The owners arrived at approximately 9:35 am and opened the door to the salon. By the time my daughter and I signed in it was 9:40am. We requested to be serviced by nail technician Emily. Two people who were ahead of us also requested Emily. The owner Tracey told me to write down my phone number and she would contact me in approximately an hour and a half when Emily should be ready. My daughter and I left and returned within an hour and a half. We waited patiently for about 40 minutes as Emily was still servicing one of the clients who was ahead of us when we signed in earlier. When Emily was finished servicing the client , Tracey told my daughter and I to take our seats at Emily's work station and the one next to it. After waiting for several minutes I looked across at the pedicure seat and saw Emily servicing a Caucasian male client who was there with his wife/mate. I got up immediately and went to Tracey and asked her how's this possible, since we were there before the business opened and were among the first ones to sign in (9:40 am). Without looking up at me she said that "they have been waiting for a while and she's short staffed today " I was in total shock at her response!!! This Caucasian man was NOT among the group of us who were there prior to the business opening up. I see this as poor business practice and blatant racism. I've supported this nail salon for many years and I will NEVER go back there again. I will also encourage everyone that I know to do the same. This is an on going pattern with many of these Asian owned businesses and the manner in which they treat African American customers; yet we continue to give them the benefit of the doubt and keep on supporting their businesses. ***DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY*** I'm a military vet who holds integrity very high. It has now been 4 days since paying $65 for a pedi & fullset. Since then FOUR of my nails have since cracked. When asked could they repair the nails, they stated they will have to CHARGE to fix the nails. Had I needed a fill-in and this happened, I would understand the charge, but it's been less than a week. NO CUSTOMER APPRECIATION OR EMPATHY AT ALL. To include my pedi was not smooth and soft the following day, but that was the least of concern.
