I will never come here again i came here the first time 12/18 and got a full set with gel so i went in and was told to sit and the lady cut my finger and when i was almost done a lady came in and wanted my nail tech to do her pedicure so i asked my nail tech to not rush my nails and sure enough she did she even passed me on to another lady who finished painting my nails who also didn't leave the magnet long enough by my nail to give it the pretty little line like she should have. i didnt have anymore time after being there for over an hour and a half so i got to wand and noticed one hands nails were longer then the other. about a week in i lost 2 nails and just glued them back on until i had a fill so i go in with my teen daughter on 1/11/19 and i ask for a fill and a full sit for her so they sit us on opposite sides of the room i tell my daughters nail tech who happened to be the same lady i seen the first visit. so i tell her i want her nails thin/short and as naturally shaped as possible she said ok she understood so this is my daughters 1st time so she knows nothing so i take a break from my nail tech to check on my daughter and she had only had the nail on no acrylic they weren't even trimmed down yet. so i wash my hands and come back to my seat. so i am getting my nails done and i about 20 min goes by and my daughter comes to me and tells me to look they are kinda short they are squared and pretty thick i was pissed so the nail tech assures me she will be filing them down and rounding them off before she paints so my baby picks her regular polish but some how the nail tech uses gel i didnt know because again my daughter is brand new to this and im literally on the other side of the room facing a different way. so now shes done and comes to show me i was flipn livid im pissed and im even scared for her to show my husband. lets get to my nails so i tell the lady what two nails i had glued back on so she said ok she will replace them. she did one i didnt even notice she didnt do the other one. so now its 4 days in i have two nails that look completely different from the other i have a nail that is falling off and i have to glue it back every other day and guess what its not even the same nail... well needless to say i wont be back..... should have took my 65 dollars some where else... read more

This review is based on a experience my daughter had recently. Let me start off by saying I've been a customer of Lisa's for many years only receiving eyebrow waxing. And....So I made the decision to start going to Hollywood to have acrylic nails and pedicures about two years ago, bad decision. I've experienced being ignored upon walking into the shop, no greeting or being informed about how long before they'd get to me. The last straw for me was being treated rudely after waiting to be serviced and like I said before I'd been a customer for many years making sure I gave tips to show my appreciation. So as you can see I've attached a picture of my daughters nails (done on 6/1), her middle finger acrylic nail broke the same evening. We went back on the next day only for them to tell us that it will be 45mins to fix one nail NO MORE GOING BACK!!! Pic is worth a thousand words!!!! read more

The first time I got a fill here, I wasn't sure; but the last two visits I got a full (gel) set and then a fill, and they did excellent work. As I sit and look at the fill I got today, I don't think I've ever seen my nails look nicer, and the prices are quite low. read more

I've been coming to this salon for a few years now. I struggled with finding a decent brow waxer & was introduced to Hollywood Nails. I was skeptical due to all my previous brow-tastrophes, but Lisa's handy work keeps me coming back! The pedicurists are great as well. I have yet to have a manicure here (I use my hands a lot and prefer not to waste money on a mani knowing the polish will crack and chip). I live & work out of San Francisco, but bypass all the nail salons there just to be pampered by Lisa & her crew...& might I add I make this biweekly trek via public transit (it's so worth it!). Drop in for a service...you won't regret it! read more

After years of coming by here after school or just on my day off need to write a review. I love getting my nails done here they are so cheap and they actually care about you. don't expect tea or anything. This place is really a dive nail shop., but they get the job done. I have long nails fake nails. I got a fill and gel color. You would never guess how much I paid....$25! YESSS GIRL! They do a great job for such a low price. I say again... this is a jacked up shop no doubt but the service is good. It's just ghetto looking lol but must go! read more

I want to here that you guys are somewhere close with a new shop!!! I miss Henry! read more

Lisa gives great customer service. She is very nice. Biggest issue is that in less than a week my gel mani was lifting and breaking off near the nail bed and near the tips on 2 or 3 fingers. It didn't last a whole week without breaking off- and I don't do manual labor type things ever. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday for a fill. The girl who did my nails took longer than usual but I was done in about 30-40 minutes. They advertise a fill as $10 and a full set as $17. I got designs on each finger therefore ended up paying $20 which still isn't bad. It's def not anything fancy, no high end salon, but they got the job done and ultimately I left with what I wanted and saved a good $6 - &10 bucks. read more

I've been going to Hollywood nails for years and for the most part they do a good job my only complaint is it's literally only two people who does good nails "Henry and John" Lisa does great eyebrows and lashes but her nails lift after a few days! The other ladies nails lift also I've given them all a chance and I'll continue to stick between the two guys read more

Ladies. My goodness. I broke one thumb nail right before I went on my vacation. I called this place about 2 hours before and told them what I needed and fast because I could only go on my hour lunch break. I came in they sat me right away and had someone take care of me. The guy was very gentle and he was very fast. He got the shape perfect and best part it was only $5. Ladies. This place is fast. Inexpensive and totally worth it. It does seem a little dirty but I promise you they are great. If you're looking for a fast full set. They will take care of you. Thanks!! read more

I usually come here every so often to get my eyebrows done but for the past couple of months the main lady has been slippin on doing nice eyebrows, they are sloppy. I go home pickin extra hairs after she waxed and half arse plucked em. This was my first and last time getting a pedicure here; she was very rough scrubbing my feet and made my middle toe bleed and ignored it like it never happened. read more

Two stars just for the lady removing my gel manicure . I go in on a Friday, by Monday my gel manicure is lifting at the base on six fingers! This is annoying as hell. My hair is getting caught under the gel and its also chipping. I dont have time during the week with two kids and a job to go and get it fixed immediately. When I get time to do my nails it has to be a schedule. I give them a call the following Friday. By this time I've had enough. A man answers and says come in so i can look at it! No , oh i'll fix it. I come in Saturday they want me to pay to fix it!(1/2 off) no way! I should not have to pay again for your mess! If it was done correctly the 1st time i wouldn't be here. Thier excuse, "Its been 10 days. Sometimes this happens." No. I always get gel manis, they r not suppose to lift up at the base of ur nails, and it's only been a week! Smh. Where is customer service at in these shops. Take care of the person who pays you. They dont give a damn tho, im just another one time visit, as long as they got thier pay. By the way I hope the shop reads this: My mother in law also has been coming there to get her nails did, (why I gave you a try) You've now lost two customers. She will no longer support your business! read more

The place was dirty, and the girl who did my nails did a rushed job, and left many rough edges. The workers talked loudly and incessantly in their language. read more

Twice before I've gotten my nails done here with good results. I usually get a gel manicure with no tips. Today I got the worst manicure ever. He soaked my finger tips for a few seconds then slapped polish on my hand so hurried and carelessly that it's all over my fingers. He made me pay in advance which I've never had to do here and I think it's because he intended to give me a rushed and sloppy job. read more

Horrible it's so dirty the nail tech couldn't paint my nails with a basic white.i would never go back. DON'T do it

My go to nailshop whenever I'm in Oakland. I love Lisa...

I feel bad writing this because the guys who did my nails were so nice but the gel on my acrylics was terribly done. Polish was very uneven had to go somewhere else to get it redone. My pedicure looks great though. read more
