Purchased an item for Christmas and then after Christmas is was half price. They wouldn't honor the sale price even though I just bought it a few days prior and had the tags and receipt. Just wanted to show some love to the manager. Brought my niece here for Black Friday shopping. Half way through my niece said she forgot her wallet in my truck. Asked the staff to hold for 10 min as grabbed her wallet from my truck outside. Came back and everything was put back saying "there's no hold on Black Friday" . I came in to this store because my daughter loves it so much. As I was going to even exchange some pants to one size smaller, I was not accommodated due to their strict policy of 30 day, which I was a day too late due to a trip. I requested to please speak to a manager because I wanted to exchange just to a different size and in addition buy more back to school shopping. But he was strict to it and did not want to disclose his name when I asked him. What kind of business does not disclose the managers name? He obviously is too young to manage himself to have good customer service. What happened to good customer service? I felt as if I was not heard and avoided with no respect as to even give me his name. This happened on 8/9/26, Sunday at 2:30pm. Who ever they left in charge as the manager is not a good manger at all. Customers should be treated with respect and felt heard and accommodated. I had an awful experience at Hollister today. The employee who helped me ( blonde short hair) was extremely impatient, even though there was no line behind me. She rushed me through my transaction and then accused me of giving her attitude, which was completely uncalled for. Instead of apologizing or addressing the situation kindly, she said, "Because I'm at work, I'm going to keep it professional,"..... meaning what??? Is that a threat? felt condescending and unprofessional within itself. It seemed like she was taking out some personal issues on me--a paying customer who had just spent over $100 in the store. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and made what should have been a pleasant shopping experience frustrating and uncomfortable. I expected better from Hollister and hope this is addressed with the staff. read more

So my daughter and I went to Hollister Co. in Escondido, Ca, and she had a bag with her when she was trying on clothes in the dressing room, a denim Cotton On tote bag that she just bought a bunch of birthday clothes from. She handed me the clothes she wanted to buy from Hollister. We went to pay and were walking out when my daughter remembered she left the bag; she went back in. The store only had 2 people and 2 workers in there. She asked to look in the dressing room, and the door was locked, and the workers, including the manager, were very rude and unhelpful and said they couldn't help her and they saw nothing. She came to the front of the store to grab me, and I went in, and the manager wouldn't give her name or help us and said, "Oh well," basically, and they couldn't help my daughter. I told my daughter I'm pretty sure the manager and worker took her stuff because she got defensive and went and hid in the backroom and didn't come out to resolve or help with anything. We filed a mall incident report and a police report... we are now waiting for the police... I've tried to contact Corporate Hollister 3 times and still no call back, and my daughter just lost out on her birthday clothes that she bought...they just basically vanished into thin air. The manager girl is so sketchy, and I hope that girl gets caught and never gets to work there again because she wasn't helpful at all and just seemed very guilty. read more

I love coming in here! I always get superior customer service and the help I need to always leave with what I need! Specifically, Mariah is always so lovely and personable when I go in to shop and the reason why I won't go to any other Hollister. Well am I surprised to see two stars no. Came here to spend money for my daughters birthday. We frequent this location and carlsbad on a monthly bases. Both of my daughters are young tweens and we always share the larger dressing room together for safety issues. Well they put restrictions on us as to 8 items total. Never in any of our visits have we had an issue. When we spoke to Micheal Ruiz he said 10 items he was unwilling to make an expectation- we had 11 items which he never counted. Keep in mind the dressing room is empty meaning no revenue coming in. It's the principle of unwillingness coupled with the eagerness to loose loyal customers which warrants this 1 star review. We had no spending budget for this visit... we will take our hard earned money elsewhere. read more

I came in to make a return, and came out purchasing more. It just so happened I came at a perfect time when the redlines were an additional 50% off! I perused and found some racerback stretch tanks for $5! Perused even more and found a couple summer dresses that were $15, of which one I will use during my bro's rehearsal dinner since it was a cute teal dress. Lastly, I found a plaid long sleeve shirt that rung up for $5. Deal galore!!! Customer service lacks (as always), but the deals were awesome. Back to school shopping so we had to make a stop here... My son loves hollister. I think they have cute clothes but for the price the quality is not there (in my opinion) but it's what the teens like so we come here. I only let him buy stuff when it's on sale because it's definitely not worth the price when you don't get it on sale. Jeans are on sale right now for $25 a pair which is a good deal. He got 3 pairs of jeans and 2 pairs of shorts on clearance for $100. He's learning to be a good shopper searching for sales. read more

This Hollister store is one where most of the workers here are actually out on the floor helping people. You would think with all of the free time that the employees have just sitting around talking behind the cash registers, you would think they they would know how to keep their store clean and their sales table visible in the back areas. I have been in this store several times in the last couple of months (teen daughter with gift cards). Seems every time I go in I feel like an intruder. Everyone who works there is miserable. One girl in particular. Never smiles at the customers, will watch people in line for dressing rooms but doesn't come to let them in until asked to. Even saw one of the brats get snarky with a customer who had a small child with her when the customer asked about the family changing room. The employee answered 'we don't HAVE a family room.' Just so you know working at hollister is alot harder then it looks. The back tables look messy because so many people just throw clothes around. Or grab a shirt on the bottom of the pile and knock the rest over. It may look like we just sit around, but we have to stay 3 hours after the mall closes just to re fold every single thing. It not our fault that people are messy shoppers, so therefore do not complain that its messy and that we dont do anything. we work hard. read more

Hollister always has loads of people working, but only one person at the register. Since they have sensors on all of their clothes, it take a long time checking out. It would be ideal to have someone taking off the sensors while the other person rings you up. Even better, have two registers open!! read more

I would give this place 0 stars but that isn't an option here. The people who work there always look annoyed and the place smells like they dumped a dozen bottles of perfume in there. The customer service there is lacking as always and the workers never look happy, they always look miserable and never help out any of their customers. The clothes look nice but the sizes are way off. A medium is like a small and a large is a medium. They should know that not everyone is super skinny and because of their clothes sizes, many teenagers would probably feel very insecure about their weight if they were to buy anything from this place. Every time I come in I end up waiting anywhere between 5-20 minutes just to be helped. There are plenty of people folding clothes but there never seems to be enough backup. Last time I went in, I had a few online returns. The rude short girl told me that one of the tags department numbers did not match the item so she could only offer me store credit. Apparently, the manager was too busy to speak with me. Given that this was a company mistake, I should have gotten the money returned to my credit card but the sales girl made no effort to help me out. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service at this store. Having worked in retail myself, I know how things can get the this store needs to get itself together! read more
