The secret is already out. I think this place has been open about five days and the line is already long on a Sunday afternoon. Rightfully so. Having read about the Hollander Chocolate headquarters moving to Port, Washington, and opening a small café, we drove up here to check out the new headquarters, small café named Tulip Café. Of course, the photos show how adorable the place is, but more importantly, the food is amazing if you're looking for something healthy, unique, and scrumptious for breakfast or lunch. They even have some midwestern favorites like egg salad sandwich because they know they're in Wisconsin and Wisconsin people like these things. I decided to go out on a whim and get the Tiramisu Mocha. If you love, tiramisu, your mind will be blown. I had no idea how much somebody could replicate a cake in a coffee. I won't even try to explain short of saying just go there and try it yourself. It was top-notch and beyond amazing. We also had a hot chocolate that was premier quality. Clearly, since this place is an international chocolate business, they dominate chocolate and know how to masterfully create hot chocolate, coffees, and other drink drinks. I have no doubt in my mind that this place will be slammed with business -not just with locals but with others making the effort to drive 20 minutes north to try the drinks and check out this amazing café. It's totally worth it.

Great, relaxing atmosphere. Smelled deliciously the second you walk through the doors. Loved the different eating areas, as well as the decor throughout. Staff was courteous & pleasant. I ordered a white hot chocolate & the "Lucky Pig" French Toast Bake bowl, and my husband ordered a regular hot chocolate & the Breakfast Champion bowl. Now, I love a good white hot chocolate (prefer it over normal hot cocoa), and maybe I set my expectations a little too high, but I found the white hot chocolate here was lacking flavor. Texture was creamy and frothy, and it was served in a nice ceramic mug, but I was disappointed that it looked better than it tasted. Their regular hot chocolate, on the other hand, was incredibly rich and flavorful. Smooth, velvety, divine chocolatey goodness. The bowls were also fantastic. The individual elements in the Lucky Pig bowl were each absolutely delicious. Together? A symphony in the mouth. Although initially I thought the portion was a tad small, it was plenty. The gingerbread brioche French toast bake was fluffy, spiced perfectly, and pleasingly sweet. The healthy helping of almond mascarpone cream that topped the bake was not overly sweet or tart, but had the right amount of cool, sweet tang with a delicate almond flavor. And the raspberry creme purée with almond streusel I could eat by the spoonful, it was that good. My husband found his Breakfast bowl to be equally satisfying, noting that his favorite part was the sausage & bacon crumble, which added the right amount of smokey-salty flavor to the whole dish. There were other things on the menu we'd like to try but that would be for future visits. We definitely will be back.

Such a cute spot, and so popular already! I love that they partnered with Discourse for a fun drink as well. The chocolate croissant was amazing

Best Deviled Egg Sammich! The bread was tasty and toasted on the inside. Pumpkin curry latte was a delicious spicy little kick.

The pumpkin curry latte was the best latte I've ever had. The egg salad sandwich was so good. I can't wait until I have my next one! I had one bite of a hot fudge, Arigato, so yummy. And if you like my fingernails, I got them polished to perfection by Cindy.

I just happened by and popped in for lunch. Had the chicken salad sammy with a side salad. Frissee is my fave lettuce and that's what the served. All perfect. I finished my meal with the turtle sundae. The toppings were amazing but I didn't love the chocolate ice cream. Wanted it to be creamier. Tastes a bit like a fudgecicle. In hindsight, should've gotten vanilla

Coffee shop is very nice and clean. Coffee was amazing, food however didn't impress me much. I got the sausage breakfast sandwich. It came on a brioche bun, which felt weird for a breakfast sandwich; Made me feel like I was eating a hamburger. There were two of us, so two coffee's and two breakfast items came to $42 so be prepared to spend more than your typical coffee shop. Staff were friendly and helpful!

Is there a food menu (for their breakfasts/lunches) we can access or see? Thanks.

I love their speciality coffee drinks, which go beyond simply adding this syrup or that one; they're genuinely creative and suit the season or holiday well. Whether you're looking for a traditional macchiato or a fancy beverage with whipped cream and chocolate, you can get it here and know that it will be delicious. This is a perfect place to catch up with friends, get some work done alone, or just read a book. The shop itself is more spacious than a lot of coffee shops in the area and retains that classic old brick industrial building charm, situated on the first floor of the historic Grafton Arts Mill (which you can also check out if you want to see some great local art!)

Okay, you don't have to have that specific scenario to enjoy this cozy spot! You could tell that this was a big meeting place for the locals and regulars, though despite being neither, I didn't feel out of place or viewed askance, which I really appreciated. My Salted Caramel Mocha was a thing of rare beauty and joy, and I went ahead and signed up for their loyalty club at the same time (who doesn't like freebies in exchange for your soul/data?). If you want to work out of this location, make sure you have a fully charged battery as there are few outlets in the inner cafe area; the outer area is better equipped that way but was decidedly lacking in heat and not a place I could stay for any larger amount of time! Since I was there a while, I also went with a peanut butter cake, though I was disappointed to find out that you earn no points on food, just coffee. The cake was very good but also very rich, and I wish that had water on hand to help me finish it!

An older gentleman I am acquainted with adored the quiche. I liked it as well, but later, I visited the shop again with another friend. We both ordered pigs in a blanket. (Meat inside a pastry roll.) It was bland, but that's not all. There were perhaps three napkins directly on my plate, with the addition of a thin paperlike sheet underneath the pigs in a blanket. The oil from my meal (a SINGLE pig in a blanket) soaked through the paperlike sheet and ALL of the napkins. ... . Oh, also they forgot my friend's order. BUT. The pastries are SHOCKINGLY PERFECT!!!!!!!! Seriously! They're even better than ones from esteemed shops in Chicago and New York City. I adore the morning bun, croissant, donuts, muffins, and countless other treats! The desserts seem even tastier if you pair them with drinks. Yes, this cafe serves tea, coffee (with an admirable amount of syrups to select from), and a self-serve water container. You can eat these flawlessly crafted delicacies either outside, on the windy bustling streets of Port Washington, or inside the half-cozy, half-distinguished, pleasantly smelling bakery! So, to make the moral of the review clear: Don't order the food, but stock up on the drinks and pastries! They sell out fast, and for good reason.

My mom ordered a latte and the coffee itself has a sour taste which I've heard from others too! It was a $7 latte and she ended up tossing it. All of their flavored syrups are the Monin brand so nothing homemade and very artificial tasting. I ordered a bagel and it was $5, and it came with a Jif PB packet and Smuckers jelly. I wish they would at least have homemade jam or a peanut butter that doesn't have terrible fillers and oil in its product. I then asked for cream cheese and it also came in a packet. The bagel ended up being hard after 20 minutes and I had to toss. The prices are so overpriced for the quality.

The "best" local place that was open in January was The Chocolate Chisel. My family and I stopped and each got a cone. I also got three truffles. The truffles I bought were chai tea milk, experimint milk (ganache with peppermint extract), and peppermint hot chocolate. The chai tea and experimint milk truffles both tasted like they should based on their descriptions, but I wouldn't wantto buy either again. The peppermint hot chocolate had some crushed peppermint on top, but other than the chocolate being in the shape of a mug, nothing about it reminded me of hot chocolate. Ultimately I don't think any of them were worth the price. The ice cream was lackluster. Both of my kids got cookies and cream in a cake cone and thought it was skimpy on the cookies part. My wife and I sprung for waffle cones with ours and were both disappointed in the excessive cone to ice cream ratio that heavily favored the cone. She got plain chocolate and it was fine. I, however, got banana-rama and ended up throwing it out because it tasted more like butter pecan than anything banana related. I even went back inside and verified with the employee that it wasn't mislabeled in the case.
