We are in the Mill district today and wanted drinks and Mexican food. Hola is a good choice with great atmosphere. Service was spot on and helpful. All six of our meals were great. Table side quac is pretty good also. Blackberry margarita was good!! To good to stop. Expect to pay Bend prices but not bad at all.

    Seafood pállela absolutely delicious!

Food was excellent! Michalada hit the spot. Service was on point and staff is very nice. First time in Bend and first meal here. It did not disappoint!

We decided on having dinner here while walking the Old Mill District and boy we are sure glad we did. This place is unique. They serve mexican and peruvian dishes and we are big fans of both. We ordered a peruvian dish, Chancho a lo Sancho, and talk about FLAVOR. Hats off to the cook for serving up, in our opinion a five star meal on its way to becoming a michelin star. Bartender was really good and friendly.

My husband and I were on vacation and came across this restaurant. We liked to go there for lunch and drinks after our day events. Our waitress Sandra, was absolutely wonderful. She also made us the BEST margaritas EVER! I definitely recommend the vanilla margaritas (so good). Our last night there, we went there for dinner. It was delicious and food was exceptional. We will be back...

I will preface this by saying we are margarita aficionados. Frozen marg, I've had them all; on the rocks, oh yeah; heck even in the can, so I do think we have credibility on the marg market. After reading in the source that Hola! had won best margarita four years in a row we were hyped. We ordered a strawberry Super Margarita pitcher and honestly, the margarita was not great, just tasted like triple sec and dirty water. Chips & salsa were good. Had to hunt our waitress down for our check. We'll be back to try the food for sure but will be sure to only get a water.

Love the pickled onion on my Chile relleno!

Never had a bad experience here and the food is always appetizing to the eyes as well as the stomach. My server was so friendly and put some extra thought into the service, making sure my utensils were in reach, noticing when I needed a refill and brining little cups when I asked for a box in case I wanted to take the salsa too (I did).

YELP, YELP I love this place. Visit 10-11-2019 Not really sure what happened but I do not regularly visit many of this groups restaurants for some reason, sorry Peter. Did not have a great experience in Sunriver as they charge tourist dollars out there and I get it. Hola downtown has changed its menu over the years and now I like food choices better but it is not really fun place for me to visit. CS is okay and have not been back in a few years. Hola in Old Mill next to the theater, no way am I going in there... but after attending some BendFilm events we dropped in for a margarita, how bad can it be? If you're a local and put off by the location as tourist infested, maybe you should give this Hola a go... I admit I was wrong. Location: Old Mill, parking is what it is, get a spot and you're not kicked out in two hours like downtown. I am sure this place can get packed but the restaurant is very nice inside. Always greeted by one of the owners who I must say, is a brand of his own. Super nice and he puts his mark on the customers experience, this is what it's all about otherwise it's just feeding humans. Food: This is really just a simple Mexican restaurant, nothing fancy which is perfect. Drinks are more than fair and VERY well made to your asking. I will say, the food here is prepped and plated with care every time, every dish, on every visit. Seems like they care. Service: Perfect. Quick flip to catch a movie or hang out and enjoy your meal and margaritas. Value: Excellent, it all works. One of our regular stops, Please Visit you'll enjoy it.

    Pisco sour, very tasty!

The service at Old Mill was so poor, we eventually left without even ordering. We do enjoy the downtown restaurant, however.

Randy ordered the chile rellano and a cheese enchilada. The enchilada was filled with cheddar and no white cheeses and not much of it. The chile rellano was better but the crema didn't have much flavor. The filling of the rellano lacked flavor too so he added salsas and that helped. The beans were too thick and the rice was dry. I ordered grilled chicken tacos and they weren't good. Overcooked meat and no flavor. I added some salsa and that helped a bit. I'm sure it's an us thing. We are used to so much more flavor.

Review - Don Gabino's Mexican Restaurant - Bend Oregon - Delivery DoorDash…read more This review is based on a number of delivered meals from Don Gabino's. The orders have been delivered via DoorDash. This restaurant is very near my home. I mention this because the most noticeable thing in ordering delivery from there is that each time, the food has been cold. It is surprising to me that a burrito wrapped in foil would become cold so quickly. The other consistent trait with the food I've ordered from there is that the meat is consistently very salty. The food is neatly packaged. Outside of the saltiness, I've enjoyed the flavors of their food. Plus, I can take the foil off the burritos and heat them in the microwave. I've also had their carne asada plate. I was surprised that instead of sliced steak, it had small cubes of steak (the same as in their burritos). Discussing cost for Don Gabino's is a little complicated. Their costs in restaurant seem to be very reasonable. The cost via DoorDash is not. However, for my last order (today 10/01/2025), there was a discount. Carne Asada Burrito $16.25 Delivery Fee $0.00 Service Fee $0.81 Discount -$2.30 Dasher Tip $6.00 Total $20.76 This left the Carne Asada burrito at $13.95. There was a time I would have scoffed at a baseline burrito costing almost $14 but those days seem to have disappeared. The delivery from Don Gabino's is always fast. DoorDash routinely beats the estimated time of delivery when I order from there. In the end, this is an average burrito at what seems to now be the average burrito price in Bend. It will scratch the burrito itch. This is the Bend based Mexican restaurant I've ordered from the most often.

After all that hard work, our family always ends up back at El Rodeo. It's our go-to spot and has been for years. The service is always great and the people working there are genuinely friendly and kind. It feels like a real family restaurant where they're happy you showed up. The bar is also a fantastic place to grab a drink or margarita, play a little video poker, and end up talking to half the locals in Bend. Somehow you go in for dinner and leave feeling like you attended a neighborhood reunion. The food is exactly what you want when you're craving Mexican: hot, good, and a lot of it. I have never once left there hungry or disappointed. Plates show up looking like they were designed for a lumberjack who skipped lunch. They recently remodeled the bar, which looks nice... but personally I believe Mexican restaurants should be built once in about 1987 and then left exactly the same forever. It's part of the charm. That said, the remodel won't stop me from going back regularly. Great people, great food, strong margaritas, and the kind of place that makes Bend feel like home. Five stars all day.

Ordering at the counter seemed interesting to me due to the layout of the dining room, but the staff knew exactly what they were doing and were able to direct us to a seat easily! The bar looked gorgeous and I would definetly like to sit there next time for the vibes. I also loved that they provided self-serve boxes, napkins, and utensils but still had a sign asking patrons to be concious of how much they're using. The overall flow between ordering, self serve, and dining was super efficient and nice! Can't wait to come here again!
