I went here first time however I did call first. The lady I spoke to was very nice professional and she knows her stuff. Very knowledgeable. They didn't have what I wanted she looked it up gave me a rough price to order it. Was there will they help numerous customers and a couple with some complicated issues. Like I said, they know their stuff. Not only do they have a good supply of bikes for sale Choppers mostly, they have a very good supply of parts and accessories helmets clothes just about anything you can name. I have a motorcycle ('71 Shovelhead) that's 37 years old so its a safe bet that most shops (and the Dealerships) are not going to have the parts i need. Hog Alley is a bit of a trip up north for many of us, but it's a trip that's well worth it to me. These guys are professional and patient. I'm by no means a bike builder but i can wrench most problems on my scooter myself, so when I didnt know the part numbers or the exact part name and had to resort to a laughable version of Harley Pictionary to describe what i needed, they not only took it in stride they played along with me. These guys have typically had the parts i needed in stock, and are fair on prices and their time to share a tip or dig deeper into a problem. They also carry used parts, (good ones too if your lucky and rummage through everything) which is rare for most shops and allows us to affordably add or change up our rides with a little more frequency. read more

I found Hog Alley after a couple of less than good experiences down the road at the big dealership. I went in and was able to get in right away and set up an order for my new tires and an oil change. Price wasn't bad at all! They were patient and friendly, and discussed my options based on customer experiences so that I could get the best tires for my ride. I went back when a tire had gone flat and the HD dealership sent me packing without any help in any way. They attacked the problem right away and an hour later I was back out there on my bike, and again the price was very fair. I hung out in the sales shop and browsed the biker gear. Very good stuff that you wouldn't find at a dealership (like an eagle claw kickstand) and the people were just so friendly and helpful with selecting my other gear, weighing the pros and cons. I stopped in here a few times and have always been treated with respect and great customer service. This time I went in to talk about a full exhaust system upgrade and shocks. Lisa was so accommodating to work with me and wow does she know her stuff! Honest and straight forward, they are willing to help you with what you want and need. Awesome. I called them in regards to my brake pads. They looked up in their system what I had done last year. They advised a break pad to match my riding style. These ladies know their stuff!!! I have been buying parts from them for over 4 years and they always seem to have what I need when everywhere else "can order it". Prices are comparable to online, slightly higher but I see that as fair when I get it NOW in my greasy little hands. They sold me all the parts to do my Stage I upgrade to my 2014 HD Streetglide, for 2/3 less than Central Texas Harley Davidson for the same exact parts. Then once I installed it all, they dyno tuned the bike for 2/3 less than CTHD wanted and had it done in an hour. I have always believed when you find a place that has good customer service and good prices you should spend your money there to keep them in business. Online is great to find out exactly what you want, but the gals at Hog Alley can tell you if it is what you need also. Bonus *** if anyone has had bad customer experience at Hog Alley, I am sure it is because they came off as a d*ck to the employees as soon as they cleared the door. A complete rip-off. Absolutely NO customer service. The mechanic broke some wires leading into a module and I had to pay him $90 to fix what he had broken plus the parts to fix it. They said the module wasn't installed properly in the first place, probably not, they were the ones installed it. The work that I asked to be done was not completed properly and they made no offer to make it right. The cost was about 75% over the original estimate and they didn't bother to call. The last time I took my bike in they installed a battery incorrectly and it shorted out after about 6 months while I was on a road trip. read more

I have had quite a few things done on my 2006 Deuce at Hog Alley that Central Texas Harley either we're too busy or so high priced that I came to them instead. They are awesome in both areas and on one occasion just recently my battery went out and I was right next door to Central Texas Harley and they wouldn't even test my battery, too busy as I was told, eventually got it started, rolled up to Hog Alley and they took me in checked it out and I got a new battery and purchased a shield as well. I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because prior to my most recent experience, they were excellent (they bent over backwards to help me and my 2010 Sportster when an ECM problem left everyone scratching their heads--and they fixed it.) In the fall of 2014, I purchased a large piece of Saddleman luggage from them and paid them to mount it on my luggage rack. Two weeks later, while riding at about 25 mph through my neighborhood, as I went over a speed hump the luggage became partially detached, dangled down and got caught in my chain/belt drive. The luggage itself was severely damaged beyond repair and my Organic Chemistry textbook inside had the cover chewed up a bit. I took it back to Hog Alley, expecting them to immediately replace it with another one. They did not replace it, but sent the old one to Saddleman. Two weeks later, Hog Alley called me and said Saddleman said it was not a "strap failure" so it was not a defective product. Hog Alley offered to sell me another luggage at wholesale cost. Folks, there are only 3 ways a product can fail: 1. Defective product (ruled out by Saddleman) 2. Improper use (ruled out by me--I was riding 25 mph on a neighborhood street) 3. Defective installation Clearly, this is a case of #3. Hog Alley SHOULD replace the luggage at no cost to me, and mount it on my bike more carefully. Yet it has been about 4 months and I have not heard from them. If they won't stand behind their work (including installing luggage), then I (along with my riding groups) will have to go to another shop that does. I'm in the process of making my Sportster Stage 3 and there are still thousands of dollars of work to do....but Hog Alley won't get that business because they refuse to replace a $113 luggage that their mechanic installed improperly. I'm very disappointed in them. I will update this review if things change. read more

I had visited Hog Alley before as a diversion while at Hardtails & had always found it to be a cool, fun place full of bikes, accessories, clothing, patches, almost anything you can imagine relating to motorcycles. But, I'd never had any work done on my bike there. Getting ready to head to Sturgis changed that. It was getting down to the wire & money was in short supply (my bank account, cell battery & gas gauge always seem to be on "low"). After calling around to 5 or 6 places for estimates I decided to try Hog Alley on their Saturday "1st come, 1st served" day. (They were all booked up all the way past my departure date anyway.) I arrived an hour before opening & was 4th in line, so I was pretty sure I was getting in. It was a toasty 100 degree day & I pretty much spent the whole day there. But, it wasn't bad. Went over to Hardtails after they opened (Genius! Putting a B&G next to a Hog shop!!!) had some great breakfast tacos, biscuits & gravy and coffee. (I was a cup low on that too!) The rest of the time I spent with some other guys & gals who were waiting, swapping lies & comparing notes at the picnic table in the shade out front. There are worse ways to spend a day! And they got me out the door for very close to the estimate...little higher because I needed new front bearings but not as much as I feared. These folks know their Hogs & will take care of you! This is the third time to fix something they attempted for me. I had them remove my keyless remote start on my chopper. After two weeks a short killed my new battery. I bought a new battery thru them and had hem repair a few more things. When I got my bike back the speedometer doesn't work now. Then a few weeks later upon start up my positive terminal melted. This chopper gets ran twice a month so nothing I've done except park and ride. They came out to repair since they didn't want to have towed in. When I got home I started it and fuel line was disconnected and dumped fuel all over my drive way. I called in the next day and they said they'd call me back. Now it's almost six. No call and now they are closed over the weekend until Tuesday. One more weekend without enjoying the cruiser. They've always been nice at front desk. The mechanic work is creating a negative vibe inside of me. When I called in about my situation the person answered the phone stated that my swift chopper isn't the best. It has 4,000 original miles and to be told my bike is the issue is disappointing. It's a sick chopper and I love it. I shouldn't feel this much anguish for an electrical fix that they said they could do when I was checking for reputable businesses to handle my needs. So I've had a tow charge new batteries. Paid labor twice and now fuel pouring out the bottom fuel line. read more

Nice family owned business. Surprising amount of inventory especially for a non-chain store operation. Their prices are very fair. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and efficient. I have done business with them several times for service, parts, accessories and apparel and I will continue to do so. They really go the extra mile to ensure my experiences with them are excellent. By far the worst experience of our life! When we dropped our bike off we already had issues with prior shops and were told that this place would take care of us. it was December 2009 when we brought our bike into the shop, they failed to give us an official quote, paper work nothing... Our bad on our part being a young family with our first Harley we just wanted to get our bike fixed and worked on. in July I went up to the shop to find out what was going on, hadn't heard anything from them after calling several times and no avail. I showed up and They wouldn't even show me the bike. I asked if they have started on it and they apologized and said no they were behind on some other projects. then and there I wish I just would have taken the bike somewhere else. They assured me they would start on it soon... I asked for a quote because we have no idea how much this whole thing would cost. "Erica" said I will call you and let you know ... I never got that call from her. Then when they started working on it at the end of the summer we swung by to see how it was going, again I asked "Erica for a quote... It took her seriously about an hour, finally she came up with 4100... Wow we were shocked it would be so much but then again we didn't know any better and at this point just wanted to have the bike done so my husband could ride it again since we were coming up on a year and he was going to deploy soon. I got sick towards the fall and called to let them know we were going through a lot as a family and them not having any information on our bike was adding more stress to us. Finally we received a phone call mid January of 2011 the bike was done! Great, my husband is away at training... he is about to deploy in a few months. we picked up our bike today, Don't get me wrong it looks AMAZING! HOWEVER, the way they handled this bike completely trumps the work. I feel completely taken advantage of, they knew we couldn't do anything about it because we didn't get anything on paper when we first brought it in. They had the nerve to say oh you can pick out a free t-shirt for picking up your bike... Gee thanks! on the way back to Ft. hood my husband ran out of gas... They had our bike for over a year and didn't even have the decency to put gas in it... SERIOUSLY!?! it took everything I had not to give them the middle finger before we left, Martha says "thanks for your business" NO! THANK YOU! I will tell everyone I can to never go to your shop for nothing you people should be ashamed of yourselves for taking advantage of us.
