For the range itself, it's in a good location with decent facilities and the berms and other equipment is well kept. Even though CCPC and the range are two different groups, there's a lot of overlap with membership and everyone was very helpful and friendly. I haven't shot here outside of a match but if I lived in the Killeen / Copperas Cove area this would be high on my list.

We walked in and there was only one other family there, so we were able to get a lot of attention. Billy was very patient with us and extremely nice. Great customer service and very fun. However, although you get 1 hour of axe throwing, we left after 30 minutes. Once you get several throws in, the excitement leaves lol. Since it was my birthday, Billy also allowed me to spin a cool wheel at the front that had different gifts I could win. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it was 103 degrees outside and it also felt like it was 103 degrees inside this place. Definitely needed air conditioning in this Texas heat.

This old man comes out and rudely yells "you think you can just fish here!" We were stunned. He demanded payment for using the dock. We apologized and told him we didn't rise we had to pay. How much was it? He laughed and said "get out. You didn't think you had to pay?" I saud "sir, I've spent many a time here & didn't realize we had to pay. How much do we owe you"? He screamed "load up we're closed can't you read the sign?" We responded again. We didn't know. It's one thing if I owe you nut to be a complete jackass was totally uncalled for. I gave them a 1 star ONLY because its the lowest it would allow.

I just picked him up and all he can say is, "Can I go again next year?" I asked him how the other kids were and he said everyone was really nice and he made a lot of friends. I pressed him as to whether there was even one mean kid, and after a long thoughtful pause he finally said, "Well, one kid cut in line at the bathroom this one time." (ha!) Mr and Mrs Turner run a fantastic camp, the counselors are fun and energetic, all the kids share a desire to get better, no one cares if you're just beginning, and there are so many other activities (swimming, snacks, movie nights, etc). They have in-window AC and heating units (which came in handy for the cold snap we received this weekend), a bathroom that included showers, toilets, mirror, and sinks for you to get ready in the morning, and bunk beds with mattresses that actually were quite comfortable. Overall, the cabin facilities were good. We also used a couple of the classrooms that were a bit more run-down that I would have preferred and the in-window heating seemed to be a hit or a miss. The tables could use a refresher and the windows could use an update. The restroom facilities that we used while outside of the cabin were less than stellar. It was neat that there was a washer/dryer on site in the restroom, but the bathroom doors were falling off the hinges and the toilets flushed when they felt like it. The bathroom could use a refresher alongside the classrooms. The grounds were lovely. There were several picnic table areas for us to hang out under trees and enjoy the great outdoors. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and the facilities were quite well done... They could use a refresher in some of the common areas.

The staff is wonderful, very helpful, and friendly. You should bring towels and bedding, the cabin is outstanding. It sleeps up to six people. Miles of trails I love their little obstacle course at the main ranch. Check it out!
