I like this Hobby Lobby, a little bit chaotic but if you know where to look and what you're looking for you'll be just fine. 3 stars because of said chaos, and dirty as heck bathrooms. It seems like they're understaffed/overworked. But the employees are helpful and can be nice once they catch their breaths, which I've been in an overworked/understaffed situation so I don't hold it on them. What a colossal waste of time. Popped in to Hobby Lobby to return something and stood in line this afternoon for over 20 minutes only to have to leave. There were still 3 people in front of me (not making returns) and I had something else I had to do. The young female cashier didn't show any signs of wanting to step up her pace and take care of her customers. I hate to be mean, but she has to be the slowest cashier I have ever seen. One of the more helpful hobby stores I've shopped. Every person in here took the time to direct me to what I needed. Even walking me over to where the picture frame nails were. Even with everyone buying all the holiday decorations they still had plenty in stock. I was able to find a great tree topper. I am very disappointed in the employees of this store. I recently had to go back to get an unexpected item for a project. I looked all over the store to find it. Granted that it's a busy time of year, but there still should be employees willing to help. I asked the 1st employee if he knew where I could find the item. He grunts "I don't know" & didn't bother to even look at what the item was, find someone who could help, nothing! Later, I found a manager & asked her. She said "oh well it says (insert section); that's at the back of the store". I responded that I've already looked there. I looked in every possible section related to the item. Today I went in for about 10 black tees. As I was shopping and looking around I was FOLLOWED by a old Caucasian lady with mint green on the sides of her glasses. I didn't catch her name. As I was looking through the adult shirts I was rudely asked if I was done getting shirts. She continued to follow me and sigh loudly as I looked for my last shirt which I couldn't find the size for and she refused to look in the back for me. Then as I kept shopping she continued to follow me until finally a customer asked her to open the spray paint bottles. I like to shop in peace. I feel as if this store is miss-named. I rarely go here for 'hobby' items BUT this is still one of my most favorite stores ever!! I seriously feel like an interior designer when I come here. Mirrors, lamps, candles, picture frames. They even have side tables, wreaths, center pieces, vases. ANY holiday decor item you could think of. ANYthing to make your home lovely!! I've used Hobby Lobby in the past for matting and framing, and was a satisfied customer, but recently they have become a huge disappointment. After my travels to Africa I returned with hand painted and photograph pieces of art that I wanted matted and framed. On Feb 3rd brought my art work into Hobby Lobby, spoke with Donna L in great detail discussing the color and size of preferred work. Was given an order sheet with due date of Feb 17, 2023. I contacted Hobby Lobby on Feb 19, was told items were not back. I received a call on 20th apologizing as items returned but incorrect matting/frame. I call Hobby Lobby on 23rd spoke with a rep that seemed annoyed that I was calling, stating items are not back and they will call me when they are ready. I have since had family over to share my experience of my travels but no pictures to show, this was embarrassing for me and such a disappointment. It is now March 6th, have not received any call or update. If my items are still available and ready I wish a discount for lost memory sharing opportunities read more

This store seemed larger than most of the other locations I have been to. The store seems older than most as well. Store was too cluttered for my liking. Tons of stuff everywhere. The store was not organized well at all. Aisle did not turn the same way. Extremely weird set up. The back of the store where the planners are located was in a disarray. I stopped in this location n the hunt for new planner stuff that just came out. No one around to answer questions expect for the 3 employees setting up the holiday section and the one person on a register. O.K. to go to if you know what you are looking for and you hopefully know where to find it because you won't find an employee to help you. Take advantage of coupons. I don't thing everyone uses a coupon while shopping here but it's a must. I wish it was a little more organized and less messy looking. As Hobby Lobby's go, this is my favorite location in the city. And as a Yelp CM, I frequent many craft stores all over the place looking for various party decorations. As a person who loves to decorate and do crafts, I frequent them just for fun and projects. The store is huge. It's well organized. This location is always super clean. They rarely run out of items on the floor and if they ever do, are usually pretty good about either finding it in their back stock or getting it ordered for you right away. This location (as with others) offers many classes to help you get started on your craft journey or help you polish up your skills. I used to take lots of classes here when I lived closer. Just walk in the store and check their boards posted to see which courses are happening when. The one slight bummer to this location is that the staff sort of seem a bit checked out. While Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite places to go, it's always kind of a downer to see how unhappy the staff seem to be. But, they have what I need for work and fun and it's easy to navigate and find it, so I will keep going back and would recommend it if you need it too! read more

I LOVE Hobby Lobby! If you have a new home, craft project, art to frame, sewing projects, or just home decorations for the holidays... this is your place -- they even have great furniture. I find that this location is pretty busy -- but probably mainly due to its location. That being said, its very well stocked and maintained.... easy to find things and the staff is pretty helpful. Hobby Lobby does a wonderful job of offering good deals and discounts -- and if you go to their website they often have additional coupons.. AND if you sign up for their email list -- you can get even more! It makes a REAL big difference and helps your money go a long way. For such a large and successful chain, its kinda odd that they don't invest in better registers -- they are slow and make even the fastest cashier slow -- so be sure to go in when you're not in a hurry and have a bit of time to wait. The slow registers also make returns super slow too. At some other locations that I've been too, I've been able to predict what busy and slow times, but this one is always hopping. read more

I love hobby lobby but about a month ago I went in and one of the metal brackets fell into my eye they were the least bit concerned. I filled out an accident report and they rushed me out because were closing. Hobby lobby corporate called me to make sure I wasn't going to the dr and said they would follow back up and to my surprise they never did. I love Hobby lobby but the lady at the register really made me mad I had gotten two different coupons one for my birthday and one from a coupon app she wouldn't let me do two different transactions with two different kinds of payments so one of my coupons is worthless because it expires today. What is the point of sending coupons if you can't use them. What's the difference if I use it today and then use the other one tomorrow they're two different coupons. So after waiting in line for 10 min to return something , I get to the front of the line to be told machine is down and I need to go to the only cashier taking cards. Got to the front after 5 min and lady from first cash register says she can help me. 25 min later I had to get a gift card- which is ok because I was going around to re spend in the store. So knowing I don't have cash I go to stand in the card only line- wait 15 min and another cashier says she can help me ( I was next customer in line). I ask her before I leave the line if she takes gift cards and she assures me she does. So I was exposing to her the events that transpired since I arrived st the store and she says" I don't know about that, I just came on". So you guessed it- I had to go back into the card cashiers line which was now 10 people deep. The lady in charge ( Ann) and asst manager Sergio were not rude however they were not apologetic, pleasant nor nice. I didn't expect any gratuity but I do expect staff to be pleasant. I had bought a large canvas from this store on 01/22/22 for a commissioned portrait I was to begin work on. Upon arriving at home however, a large stray dog (retriever breed) had jumped into my mini-van stepping all over the canvas that I had laid in the back seat. His claws cut through the canvas tarring and ripping it apart. I called the store upon a chance, being low on further cash, and explained the situation. Ben, who was the acting store manager on this day's morning, more than understood my situation and was more than happy to replace the canvas. When I arrived back at the store I found him to be even more friendly in person, understanding, and very professional in seeing to my need of retrieving the new canvas. In this, Ben is a perfect example of why...I have always returned to this one Hobby Lobby. Truly professional and friendly service. First, their sales rotate, so that if you miss a sale this week, you can catch it again in two weeks-and I have yet to come in and not find a sale item. Managers are horrible. Rude. Not helpful. I was called by a manager about prescription glasses I lost on 11/12/16. Said she had them and they'd be safe in their safe. I went to get them a couple weeks later (we live across town) and they were gone. MOD said glasses were never logged and since I didn't have managers name (I did have date and time she called me) I was told it does them no good and glasses are gone. This was after attempting 2 other times to get them but was told no manager on site. This was also after almost an hour of waiting for help in store. I visited this store on Monday, November 7. It was crowded. I saw snowflakes that were better quality than we had gotten at Walmart the day before. Got red, white and gold to put on our fireplace for Christmas. Got in line to check out. The lady directed us to another register, but the line was long. I am a cashier at the Randolph AFB main exchange and when lines are more than a certain number of people, they call for extra help. Might take a few minutes, but extra people do show up. There were about 3 or 4 registers open, but they all had long lines. My mom went outside because someone had perfume that got to her. I paid for the merchandise and left. I can't believe that they didn't call for help for their cashiers. We asked the lady if they had a military discount, she said you can't use it on top of 50% off. I would have liked to know why, but didn't pursue the subject further as the line was already long enough. read more

Don't waste your money at a place that doesn't care about your experiences with their RUDE and UNHELPFUL staff. So I'm a SERIOUS crafter, and I have been to this particular store on many different occasions and here's my take on the quality of their service. The employees most often do NOT smile at you, particularly when walking in the door and upon arriving to the cash registers. The employees dont know much about the products they sell, except for a select few ( I'm talking the managers who've worked there longer than a month) so forget any product information you might want that you can't get off the label of an item. They make it hard for you to return stuff and then repurchase, the other day i wanted to EXCHANGE an item for something else in the store that was a higher price, but instead of applying the balance (from the returned item) they HAVE to return it, to your card instead of them just turning around and using it towards your new balance. I've never had a store act like this, you already have my freaking money why cant you apply it to what i want to take home! (according to the General Manager of the store this is a company wide policy, yeah what a great idea....make it harder for your customers to shop, that'll motivate me to keep spending my hard earned money at your store...sureee) So you might want to think twice before you go in to this store or any hobby lobby (i've been a serious crafter for the last ten years and this is consistent behavior from them unfortunately, consistently BAD service), cuz if you need help...good luck, you're probably going to encounter people who dont want to help you, and make you feel like your a pain in the butt for asking where something is, or how something is supposed to be used, even though you buying stuff at their store pays their salary, they apparently aren't even smart enough to understand that concept. I also called the corporate offices of this store to tell them about my experiences and they DONT CARE AT ALL (big suprise). I left a detailed complaint similar to what you see here and that was like 2 weeks ago, still i have had no contact from anyone at the corporate level. So I'm using my consumer power, I will NEVER shop here again, and i hope more people who have similar experiences do the same.
