I love this toy store. Glad to see some chains are still in business. Quality people and quality toys. Quality over quantity, something the late Toys 'R Us sometimes failed to fulfill! The Learning Express also, as the name foreshadows, have a plethora of educational toys which is always nice to see. There are often sales in the store. Take the time to look around, you might be surprised at how affordable it can be. Compact yet filled to the brim with goodies. Big fan of the Squishables & the Squishmallows lines. Any location I go to, I have never had a problem with the employees. In fact, they are always an asset. Especially welcoming of the child at heart I am, playing around.

    Frogs kept in horrible environments.

Absolutely disgusted with the audacity of this store. I have been going here many times and this past visit was anything but good. Everything was nearly empty and to the left of the store there is shelves full of frogs kept in dangerous environments. Those frogs are not having regulated water, enough plants for oxygen, lamps for heating, and are supposed to be kept in 5 gallon tanks. They are also being fed pellets for fMany frogs were struggling to stay up to the top of the water to gain oxygen from a tiny hole on the top. One was not moving (I presume dead) and there was even some tanks with 2 frogs at a time. It's obvious they're just thinking of money and not the actual well being of the frogs they're selling. Will never be returning here again.

Place was very overpriced. Found some items cheaper on targets website before purchasing here. So I only bought something I didn't think I could find anywhere else. One of the lady cashiers commented on my height (I'm 4'9) saying "oh I didn't see you, you're so short" right before ringing me up. That did it for me bc as you can imagine I always have people saying things like that. After that I just wanted to get out of there without purchasing anything at all but I was buying something for my nieces birthday. Another thing is they have 2 frogs in tiny aquariums. I put my hand next to it to show the comparison. With a tiny air hole. They're not getting the proper care they need. They need to stop selling these immediately.

The owner Tim Hicks touched my service dog from the back without asking and my service dog turned around to snap out of fear (he is still in training it says so on his vest) he then told us we needed to leave and weren't allowed back. A golden retriever OFF LEASH NO COLLAR was roaming the store and came up to my dog and started barking in his face. He is lucky I didn't kick that dog in the face for what he did, having a dog like that is not right. The whole situation was awful. It was no surprise my dog was coming inside we were camping out there since 10pm the night before and the manager saw us multiple times. Do Better. ALWAYS ASSUME A DOG IN A PUBLIC PLACE IS A SERVICE DOG NO PETS ARE ALLOWED IN PUBLIC SPACES UNLESS STATED

This store is very overpriced. The blind boxes are being sold at nearly double the price compared to other stores, including Tesolife.

Sombrero hats, shoes, Mexican dresses, toys, the list goes on. Be careful about the stairs; they are rather steep. I love how the signs tell you to keep your children with you. There is also another sign telling you that you cannot try on the shoes. I asked the salesgirl about it, and she said that they had lots of people coming in to try on the shoes, but not buying any. And then people who actually bought the shoes would come back saying that the shoes smelled like feet from all the people who had tried on the pair of shoes previously. True story, swear to God. I guess tourists have stinky feet! I was looking for a souvenir for myself. Warned about the shoes, I actually was looking to get either a Mexican blouse or dress as I had seen several gorgeous ones during my stay in San Antonio. The salesgirl was great in helping me pick out one, and even better yet, offered a discount if I paid in cash. Done. Best yet, after visiting Market Square, I noted that this store's clothes prices were indeed less expensive than the stores on Market Square. Same merchandise, different prices. I don't know how the other merchandise stacked up, but it does pay to shop around.

Between authentication and grading I spent an additional $300. 3) DC Comics said that they had no idea of what we were talking about when we mentioned the free gift and said that nothing had been coordinated with them. I emailed the guy that runs the event, a guy named Apple, and I explained what had happened. No response. I emailed again. Again no response. As I talked to multiple people in comic book stores in San Antonio and the surrounding areas it was very clear that I was not alone in feeling ripped off. The biggest complaint besides a disorganized event was the Jim Lee pass. It really tainted the whole experience.
