I recently purchased 2 recliners from James Ramirez. He was not pushy, he waited patiently for us to decide and he was very informative. Once the recliners were ready for delivery, we ran into a little snag, but between James and Jose Guerra (store manager), they were able to overcome the problem and both recliners delivered today exactly at the time they promised. Do not shop here! I pre-shopped for couches yesterday, 30 July, and my sales people were Rachel and Dan. Both were very pleasant, allowed me to look and answered all my questions. Today that all changed. I returned with my wife and found today's sales people were off the charts. We are a professional couple who own multiple homes and in our 50's. If we find something we like we buy it, we pay cash, we don't finance anything. We came here just to look at sectionals and felt like we were at a used car lot. We were swarmed as soon as we walked in the door and even though we told the individual that we didn't need any help, and that we would come find him if we needed anything, he proceeded to try to talk to us and follow us all around the store. My wife finally got agitated and said we just wanna look at furniture can you please just leave us alone. Not 30 seconds after that the manager comes up to us and introduces himself and says he wants to know if his staff is giving us everything we need. He asked if we had ever been in before, and I told him I was in there yesterday by myself just looking before I brought my wife. He actually told me "oh yeah, I don't remember you". What a jerk! We politely told him we just wanted to be left alone so we can look at furniture and he also proceeded to follow us around the store and try to talk to us. This was the worst furniture shopping experience we have ever had. We even told the initial sales person that we can get everything they have in the store discounted through AAFES (armed forces exchange service) without tax so we weren't planning on buying anything there. We just wanted to sit on a couple of sectionals to see if there were any that we liked. Despite saying that, he still came back and kept hounding us and every time we were around the corner, there was again. He seemed very desperate to sell something and offered a steep discounts off the price shown. I felt like I was bartering at a border town. We finally found a side door and just walked out. Not sure who would buy anything from this store. If you want to be bothered, not actually be able to look at the furniture, but constantly be surrounded and hounded by sales people, then this may be the place for you. If you just want to look at furniture, take your time, talk to your spouse, and just make a good decision, this is not the place. Avoid at all cost! I ordered furniture back on Dec 23,2025 for my new home. At the time i made it clear my needs to not only furnishe house but coordinate furniture and the need to do it quick as i was hosting guest end of January. During purchase i mentioned some non negotiables like getting my mattress quick as it a new home, i have a toddler and pregnant wife and i specifically stated if you cant do it let me know i will order straight from manufacturer on internet. Since then not only did a spend a long time sleeping on floor, i recieved the wrong mattress, more tahn 4 visits where furniture could not be assembled due to missing parts or wrong parts delivered. and incomplete deliverys. On one they brought me 2 dinning room chairs but no table or other chairs. like what was i supposed to do , eat on an invisible table, and watch my plates levatate. Fast forward to now, Feb 10 i'm being told the remaining items cant be delivered because they have been discontinued. not sure how that is my fault or my problem, i was sold furniture that both my wife and i selected aligned with a vision for our new home. And the audacity, Ashleys wants to make it right by offering replacements at full cost for furniture i'm not remotely interested in. We have a vision for our home. I know Ashleys wants money and doesnt remotely care about our interest or vision but this is our home, not theirs and my next step is to demand a full refund. by the way for those planning to buy just look at other reviews mine isnt unique. and also note that Ashleys as a whole has changed their customer service to be over text so no one really has to deal with you. and they will give you the run around if responsibility belonging to diffrent departments and hand being tied. Store reps do that too. it quickly becomes a "not my responsibility, not my problem" scenario and since you have no one you can call they just hope you drop it and are so frustrated you accept whatever they want you to accept. if you escalate it become a someone will email you after some time scenario, and of course that email never comes or leads to more frustration and no resolution. If your still planning to buy from Ashleys i would caution you to think about this modern customer service experience that feels harder than canceling a subscription. read more

Paid 3k for bed frame. Plus delivery and assembly, The two guys that delivered damaged my home and did not assemble bed properly as it fell through. This happened as we slept. Took off our mattress and there are parts for support missing and no screws in for securing and missing other parts. We paid money for this and the customer service person stated it would take three days to get back to us. The ongoing saga of getting my order correctly delivered is so frustrating. I gave this a 2-star review because I actually like the quality of furniture. Everything else has been unfortunately disastrous. 1. I have furniture being delivered to two locations. Ashley's team has been entirely unequipped to handle this. Between automated follow up, phone calls and desperately trying to get a hold of people in the store (separate issue detailed below), we have had error after error. One bed that was delivered was the wrong bed. One entire dining room table set was missing in the order. A second bed was missing from the order. 2. Trying to get a hold of a person at the store has been impossible. I have had to physically go to the store (45 min away) no less than four times AFTER I placed my order to try and speak to someone. Each time, I have been treated with courteous annoyance. 3. I have had a phone call or automated text at least 15 times (not exaggerating) with various people from the delivery and AI service. They have each made the issue worse. Sales people and managers don't coordinate with the home office and AI. 4. There have been no reliable updates about the status of items. I only find out about them being on back order or parts are missing when the item isn't delivered. This makes personal schedules and coordinating logistics impossible. I have pieced together work arounds, but having a home with small children and disarray with furniture has been very difficult. As of the day writing this post, I have unclear knowledge whether my pieces are going to be delivered, are on back order (4-6 weeks out), or are missing altogether. 7 total items are unaccounted for at this moment. (I will provide an update once/if this is resolved). The saving grace has been the delivery team, and they have nothing to do with the service and sale part of this experience. Juan and his team were wonderful and apologetic of my experience. I tipped them and thanked them for their work. I have made multiple requests to speak with someone from the corporate office. Each person taking this request said they have "logged" the request. I seriously doubt I'll ever get a call. Lastly, I should've known from the start to take my business elsewhere. The original sales person conveyed a "deal" regarding a lump discount if I purchased that day. I let him know very clearly that with the size of order we were making we would be interested in their financing. After walking the entire store and taking two hours to pick out furniture, he let me know that it was EITHER the discount or the financing but not both. When I conveyed my frustration over this representation, he said, "everyone knows you can't discount AND finance." The store manager walked over and worked with me to find a resolution that was basically meeting in the middle of what they could offer and what I was willing to accept. In all the subsequent efforts to try and clarify the delivery mess, that manager (D.R.) has been impossible to get a hold of. I have no idea when or if I'll get all the pieces I have ordered. I can't buy other furniture from another company at the moment, because I'm afraid that even if I tried to cancel the remaining items, they'll show up one day and I'll be charged for them. The most recent face to face encounter with an onsite manager (transferred from a different store due to "issues with this location") assured me he will call me and take care of issues now. I'll report back whether this comes to fruition. The overall experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I have taken hours and hours as well as multiple round trips to try and resolve these issues. Suffice it to say, Ashley Homestore will not be getting our business in the future. The furniture itself is a good value for what you pay, I think. Unfortunately the customer service end of things has been a complete and total disaster. Update #1: The order was supposed to be delivered today. It wasn't. They said I needed to change the address again. Now the order will be delivered in 3 days, so I'll need to take time from work again (as I did today). The last store manager who promised to call me (4 days ago) has not. One piece is apparently on back order for another month. No updates on the rest. read more

The customer service is horrendous! I contacted them on 11/12/25 when my recliner broke. I contacted them every week with no results until 12/2/25, when I called and was told my service was scheduled for 7 - 10 am for 12/5/25. I confirmed the time and then on 12/3/25, I was given a delivery time for that night. When I called them I was basically told too bad, it's your problem. There is no way to talk to anyone and the customer service staff is left holding the bag with their hands tied because they can't contact anyone to help. I would hate to work there. TrAshley 'Furniture' Let's build a timeline over the past month: 3/30/25 We order a set of two dressers and two nightstands for our childrens' bedrooms. 4/8/25 It gets delivered and both dressers already are covered in scratches and dents. The delivery people leave, and a leg breaks off one of the dressers your apparent 'White Glove' service people set up not two hours later. Luckily it was my wife who caught it inspecting this sub-par piece instead of it falling on my four year old daughter. 4/9/25 We filed a complaint about damaged 'furniture'. Your 'help' line is about as useful as calling the store as we have multiple records of trying to get replacements and always got a run-around or no answer. 4/22/25 Hooray, after multiple calls, going into the shop itself complaining about a lack of any kind of competent service on damaged products, we finally get our replacements delivered. One of the dressers was more damaged than the previous and I told the delivery people to not even bother with the other and to pack it all back in the truck. That truck was also two hours late from the delivery window. I was told that now my case will be 'VIP' and its easier and quicker to leave the set here. Great 'White Glove' service. Hey, one of them did use a nice little marker to cover up the scratches so THANKS! That 'case' is still unresolved. 4/29/25 Today - No updates after reaching out multiple times over the past days, just smelly warehouse furniture not being used with our kids clothes in baskets because we don't want this dinged up 'furniture'. You have some bogus refund policy that we can't just send this TrAshley 'furniture' back. We don't want these damaged products that could have fallen down on my child, beaten up in general, and your customer service is as 'White Glove' as a dentist giving a root canal or a proctology office visit. We have call-logs, E-mails, anything trying to get a hold and make it right, but you just don't listen. I guess you are OK with selling a TrAshley product and support structure. read more

The worst company I have ever delt with! Long story short we bought a sectional and a corner piece cushion did not bounce back properly on day one! Looks like a ton of bricks are sitting on it. 2 months later finall at least got a repair ticket created however when the tech showed he didnt even try to repair it with the parts sent. Lots of damaged furniture! Ordered a table set and a chair, both came damaged on the first trip. Second trip, both were AGAIN damaged. The chair was able to be Frankenstein-ed together for 1 undamaged chair, but the table was a no-go. On the second trip, the delivery driver gave my wife grief for refusing the damaged table! The in store service was great and the lady who helped us was also very helpful but the pick up situation at their Ashely Distribution Center was absolutely terrible. You could tell he wasn't pushing a particular marketing platform for the company but rather tailored his suggestion to my buying needs. The manager Todd O. was attentive as well. There is something about servant leadership that flows from the top down that exudes excellence. I cannot imagine why the reviews for this location aren't reflective of the superior service I received from this location. I bought a tempur-pedic mattress and adjustable base. Sergio our sales person was very helpful the day we ordered it and when I called to ask to exchange the ca king that they had just delivered. The mattress and base do not fit in my platform bed. I know it was my choice to order the ca king. I thought that was the size mattress I currently owned. They sent what I ordered. My complaint is that I am spending several thousand dollars and I can't even return/ exchange an item I haven't even used yet. What kind of costumer service is that? Why would I ever buy anything there again. They have a comfort guarantee that says it is designed for confidence and peace of mind, but they don't want take the mattress and base back. Delivery was a joke....Power Rocker Recliner was set up with power cord caught in rocker. I would have either been electrocuted or cut the power in half after a few rocks. Delivery men left trash from recliner after putting chair together. Went back to store & our salesperson Lydia tried to ghost us but pretending to be with a customer when she was standing within view & bull shitting with other sales people waiting for their ups. The associate who sold us our sofa insisted that while the brown floor model of the sofa was a leatherette the blue-grey was a durable fabric that would be safe around cats. Our other fabric furniture is fine but the new sofa looks like it went through a shredder since the associate lied through her teeth and the 'fabric' was a leatherette with a very delicate rip-able finish. Don't trust the sales staff. Also the sales associate claimed she scheduled the delivery but a week later when the delivery was due, no sofa. Let me start by saying "experience has been such a long process and disappointing" Gave them the benefit of the doubt and bought furniture from them, cause my wife and I found a really nice set. They do have beautiful furniture, but the delivery and waiting game is ridiculous. 1st they tell you a date and then they call you to say you are only getting part of your delivery and reschedule the other 1/2. So the other 1/2 comes the week of Thanksgiving and the loveseat is damage. (See pics) I caught it before drivers left and had them call their superior and they said sorry but I won't get another one until 12/11. So now I am waiting for a replacement loveseat and my end tables. The only good thing is that at least they left the damage loveseat so we have seating for our family on Thanksgiving. Jose was very knowledgeable and friendly. He helped us get furniture for the entire house. Would recommend having him with any new furniture. Well this is a update. I order over $4500 worth of furniture. Ever piece that came was scratched or broken. They told me they would have someone come and fix it. Over a month has gone by and still not fixed. They said they were going to exchange bedroom set but came twice with worst products then before and had to refuse it. Took 5 days off work to get this all fixed. Was refused any compensation for my time or missed time off work. I was told several times the regional manager or store manager would call me without any call backs. I was a loyal Ashley customer for over 20 years. I wouldntrecommend anyone goes to these store ever again. He had no idea I went to 3 other stores today with less then 5 star service. Chris listened to my search desires including color, style, and budget and took me straight to the couch I finally bought after 5 long months of searching. He asked me he he could show me around, he didn't just point and follow. Amidst our conversation he learned I was a nurse and immediately thanked me again. He regarded my safety by keeping his distance and ended the sale with a very appropriate elbow. Not to mention the sale. I am so thankful for this experience being short and sweet. They never answer the phones they take long to process paperwork and now we have to wait 2 more weeks for a mattress are u kidding me and on top of that no one called to warn us either!!! Will do "anything" to close the sale...including ripping me off. I bought a new sofa and love seat from this Ashley Furniture. I told my story to the salesman (I think his name was Vim) and how the couch I had before (eight years old) had cushions that were finally collapsing in on itself. So he sold me on the extended warranty called "Montage". After hearing my tale of woe, he said the warranty would cover "anything that goes wrong" including the cushion issue. Lo and behold, 13 months later the cushions are sagging to the point where I call up Montage and explain the situation. Go figure... "We don't cover that, sir. We only cover if the structure actually breaks." Great, so I bought a $500 warranty because I was told it would cover "anything" only to find out the salesman had to close the deal so he would have said "anything". I had the most horrible experience at Ashley (Pat Booker Rd, San Antonio). Their salesperson, David Hernandez made a mistake in my order. Delivered the wrong product & it took them 4 months to deliver the right item. And they don't want to honor the discount of the same product at the time I purchased it. Giving me the run around that I should have taken the floor model. But they also said they don't deliver the floor model. The managers didn't do anything to correct it. The managers are are dishonest. Would lie to their teeth. I will not ever go back to this place. And beware when you order with David. read more
