Shopping at Furniture Row was an absolute delight. We were trying to decide whether to ship furniture from our summer home in Oregon or sell that and buy new things here. We had bought many things from Furniture Row in Oregon and were very pleased so we were delighted to see there was a store in San Antonio. The price and quality of living room, bedroom, dining room and study furniture made our decision easy. In addition the salesmen were attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful, without being hovering and invasive. We accomplished everything. Traffic around and in the Forum is not for the weak hearted, but the store is just north on I 35 so access is easy. We can't wait to see our new things in our new place and we will definitely return when we decide which accent pieces we need. We have returned several times. Unfortunately our first bedroom and dining room selections were too big for our new small place. We realized that when we took our own measurements of our place without relying on blueprint measurements. Each time we returned, we received the same excellent service. It seems a lot of furniture stores tend to struggle with customer service. This cannot be said about Furniture Row. I can only speak for Stacey because she was the one that helped us for three days looking for furniture. She was knowledgeable and had a lot of patience with us. Unfortunately, we found a couch at a different place only because of availability. Even with everything Stacey did for us, she continued on with the upmost professionalism and kindness congratulating us on finding another couch that suited us. Since moving here almost 2 1/2 years ago we have gotten all our furniture here pieces at a time and our 100% satisfied with the service and quality of the furniture. We still have more to buy. I found a piece I fell absolutely in love with online so I went in store to Check it out but turns out it was discontinued. Before losing hope, Michelle called around and was able to find the last one left! She Had it delivered to their location in San Antonio and couldn't be more happier. She is great. Just a week and half later it arrived and I took it home but it had a thick crack (provided) pics and she advised me to bring it down to the store so she can try and get it fixed and she took it upon herself to fix the table! I personally wouldn't recommend anyone to this place. Yes, they have very nice furniture and the prices aren't terrible but I have no idea how they stay in business. I went to get a few more matching chairs for family coming for the holidays, to go with the dining set my wife had previously purchased. I found the chairs myself before anyone asked me if I needed help, then I told the guy Jonah I wanted 3. He told me they needed to come from San Antonio and they'd be in the next day. He also asked If I wanted to pay while I was there or wait until the chairs came in to pay. I told him I'd pay part card and part cash but it didn't matter to me when I pay. He said just wait until it comes in and pay the whole balance. I said okay, he said he'd call me when it came in. So two days later, I didn't get a call so I had my wife call the store. They told my wife, the chairs were there but they weren't for me because I hadn't paid for them... they were first come first serve. So I went up to the store irritated obviously because they said they would call me but didn't and also because the chairs weren't ready for pickup even though I asked for them and the salesman told me wait to pay. I paid for the order and they told me it would be ready the next day. I waited until the day after they told me, just to see if they'd call to let me know my order was ready... again no call. I had my wife call again and they told her the chairs were ready. I'm normally not one to complain, I'd rather just not speak and no longer support the business but I ended up very frustrated with this business. I'm in sales as well and I take care of my customers from start to finish and this was completely opposite of how customers should be taken care of. read more

My wife and I searched for 3 weeks, looking for our new living room set. We went to stores all over San Antonio, and New Braunfels. We wound up finding our set, that we love, at Furniture Row. The sales team was knowledgeable on their furniture, and did not hound us like others stores did. They were there if we had a question, but not pushy at all. I did give 4 stars, as they did not have 1 item on our invoice, that was not inputted into the order, but other than that, it was a great experience. Sherman, the manager of this store, was a great salesperson, and allowed me to come by and pick up the missing item from their floor display. The furniture here is very similar in pricing and style to Rooms To Go, which is located across the highway, but the collection is different enough as to be worth the separate visit if you've gone to the other one already. read more

Where to start. Told 10-14 days for delivery of item that advertised as "availabile now". In reality took over a month. I had to call the store constantly for updates. Was told to be delivered on a Monday but delivery was cancelled without notification. Took a day off from work for nothing. Just sat around waiting for a table to not be delivered. Table then delivered on following Friday but came broken. The sales man Jonah was hard to get a hold of during this entire time. Mass produced sub-par quality furniture that relies on gimmicky pricing schemes to get you to buy in bulk. This is just one of many warehouse retailers that litter the landscape of our country today. It's places like this that make me wish for a time when things were made by hand and true craftsmanship was still revered and appreciated. Yes, we live in a fast-food eating, disposable society, who want to pretend they are living the high life even though they are in debt up to their eyeballs, but come on!! There is nothing special about this place, except the unique appearance and set up of their cute warehouse. It certainly tricked us into stopping inside for a peak. These huge furniture warehouse places remind me of Walmart, lots a cheap junk, selling out our country's future to Asia, and all to make a quick buck. BLAH! If you are on a budget, lack any degree of sophistication, don't mind buying overpriced particle board from an apathetic sales guy, then this is your place. Not for me. I would rather find something uniquely designed from real wood that I know hasn't been cheaply assembled 10 million times over on a conveyor belt. Heck, I would rather find something at a salvage yard that was at least antique and real. I guess it's a sad commentary on our (fake, cheap, and I want it NOW society), that these places have proliferated, while small mom and pop custom furniture stores have declined. However, I had a combo purchase with Denver Mattress and Oak express which was a major FAIL...1st delivery guys had the wrong size bed frame for my headboard...2nd delivery guys had the correct frame but no hardware...3rd delivery guys came with incorrect hardware, placing 1 screw on the right side of the headboard and 2 screws on the left...all 3 screws are sticking out from the head board about 2 inches...poor poor quality control...wasted my Friday & Saturday...and it still isn't right. Got a great deal. Spent $6,000.00 on a living room set, a mattress set and a bedroom set. That's where it ended. Upon delivery, they noticed that someone from the warehouse removed all the required hardware needed to put the bedroom set together. I spent the next 3 hours with Daniel at the store trying to get things right. He said the warehouse had the hardware and wanted to reschedule for Monday to put everything together (the delivery was Saturday). After several hours, he said the last delivery truck left about 10 minutes ago. I asked him why they didn't put the hardware on the truck. He didn't know and it was clear that he wouldn't do anything until Monday. So, it looks like for the next few nights, my wife will be on the couch and I'll be on the floor. I purchased a dinning room chair several days ago and had a terrible experience with Jonah and his manager Joel. Jonah has a very bad attitude, sense of entitlement and ZERO customer service skills. After purchasing my chair he asked me to draw a diagram of my dinning room because they get credit when customers do that. I told him I wasn't interested in doing that so he said that's okay I'll just make it up. So he starts drawing what he guesses my dinning room looks like right in front of me. I asked him if he was going to get credit for that and he said yes. I said but I didn't draw it then he says it's fine he already has 2 for the day. As I was leaving I asked to speak to Jonah's manager Joel. I told him what happened and when I said I didn't appreciate Jonah lying to give himself credit Joel smiled at me. I wasn't joking or telling a funny story so I have no idea why he would smile when a customer is complaining about a negative experience in the store. I then spoke to the regional manager several days later and he took my complaint seriously and I feel confident he will address the issue though I don't remember his name. Hunting for the perfect couch without being able to actually put it in your home is a horrific task. They should make up websites where you take a picture of the bare room and add. I bought and paid for a floor model media console which I was excited to have delivered for our new 70" TV. We had arranged to have the new TV installed on the wall. Well, I got a call this morning. I expected it was a reminder call that my TV console was being delivered tomorrow. Instead I was told that it had been sold to another person despite the fact that I had already paid for it in full including the tax and delivery fee of $89. The salesman NEVER offered to give me a better price on another console or anything. I had specifically asked him to wrap it up and get it ready for delivery. He said he would and clearly didn't. As a result we had to cancel the service and rearrange plans. Now, I have to start all over and we look like irresponsible customers to the custom TV install company that we had to cancel services with. It's my opinion that my tv console was probably left on the floor and sold over the Presidents' Day sale that Furniture Row AKA Sofa mart had. This was a terrible experience and I'm extremely disappointed that something Inpaid for was sold off to another customer. Worse is that NO EFFORT was made to find another or at very least offer me a future discount. Based on this experience I would not recommend this store as reliable, and I would not recommend buying furniture there if you expect to get it like I did. We were told it would come in October, which was a tad bit dissapointing but ultimately fine because we truly didn't need it until the week of thanksgiving when our family is scheduled to come into town for our wedding. We are now in November and have not received our beds. Anticipated delivery date is late November, early December now. After our company comes and goes. On top of wedding stress we are now stressing over this because our spare bedrooms do not have beds in them. Overall we are shocked and now truly disappointed with this experience; as I have never experienced something like this before. Why have it on display to sale if it will not be available for months to come. We are going to shop around and see if we can get something by the time we need it. Hopefully it works out for us. Update: we were able to find what we needed elsewhere with same day pick up. Furniture row issued a refund with no problem. I purchased a dining table and chairs from this store. The service was excellent and accommodating. I had scheduled the delivery to my home in Canyon Lake and asked to take a couple of the chairs home the day of purchase because I could fit them in my car. The store manager immediately deployed to have the chairs assembled and I was quickly on my way. The only glitch was a mistake on scheduled delivery day but again the store manager Joel made quick arrangements and happily the delivery happened as scheduled. A few weeks ago I purchased a sofa from Furniture Row. The experience was fine-nothing out of the ordinary. When the sofa was delivered (in a timely manner, by extremely helpful delivery men) my husband and I discovered that we weren't as thrilled with it as we expected to be. Receipt in hand, we decided to see if Furniture Row really stood behind their promise to exchange purchases within a certain time frame (sorry, I don't remember the exact time). Happily, they do! We found a couch that we wanted to trade for, did so, and had the difference refunded to our credit card! I ordered a headboard, couch and dining room table in Dec. The salesman Nic went above and beyond. He was very patient with me. At one point I was tired of waiting for my dining room table to arrive so I went back to the store and he showed me what was avail sooner. I ended up just keeping my original order. I would call Nic to get an update on my order weekly (they said it could take up to 8 weeks). He was very professional and helpful. As soon as my couch came in he called me to set up delivery. The men who delivered it were very friendly and troopers because it was so cold outside. I've had a very positive experience and Nic should definitely be recognized! read more

I waited almost two months for my furniture to come. When I finally received the call that my furniture was ready for delivery, I was super excited. I confirmed a deliver date and made a whole lot of arrangements so I could be home to accept the delivery. On the day of the delivery, I was told it was a misunderstanding and even though they confirmed the day, basically too bad so sad but they could arrange delivery the next day. Seriously!! So now I have to lose another day of work and HOPE it is not another misunderstanding. I have been a customer of this store for years but the attitude of the staff that took my call just guaranteed I will not be back. If I could get a refund I would and take my business elsewhere. They're not horrible, I don't think, but they sell furniture that is of suspect quality depending on brand and price point. Our wooden bed frame w/headboard/footboard had a major support piece fail after 2 years due to the wood splitting. One year warranty so it's up to me to fix or buy new one. This was about a $1000 set if I remember correctly, so it wasn't extremely cheap cost-wise compared to furniture in this class. It was disappointing that Furniture Row wouldn't offer so much as a small percentage discount to shop with them for a replacement, though I plan on repairing this myself. read more

Walked into furniture row on a slow day. Grabbed a pillow and sat in the oversized chair with my husband for 45 minutes. (Think I found my relaxing place.) Salesman was awesome. When I wanted to try the oversized seats on top towards the back they found the extra hands to deliver my seats from the top shelves with no hesitation. The stores of Furniture Row have a great selection and variety. I purchased a very comfy couch and love seat, beautiful bedroom set and mirror, and a mattress set all for a great price. Also, their customer service is second to none. Jonah, Sherman, and a woman on the Oak Expressions side (unfortunately can't remember her name) were extremely helpful and patient with me as I tried coordinating furniture delivery with a PCS move. I can't say enough nice things about this place and their staff! I have used furniture row twice in the last month due to moving across country. Wish I hadnt. First time I bought a couch and recliner. The guy loading up the couch into my truck dented my tailgate, which now needs to be replaced. Second time I have them the benefit of the doubt, we go buy a mattress and bed protector deal they have going on and set it up for delivery. Delivery day comes around the mattress and boxsprings come, but no bed protector. So now if we get something on the bed the warrantee is no longer good. One month backorder on the bed protector. So instead of them telling us that in the first place, we now are protecting our over priced investment and sleeping on a air mattress. read more
