Lovely location, this store is always clean and organized. The employees are helpful and kind on every visit. They always have lots of great seasonal items not to mention a great place for baking gear. Although I found this location has a lot less in it. Despite that prices are okay but they often have pretty good sales to make your stop worth it. Would recommend! read more

This location at the Forum has become my favorite, although it is not the closest MICHAELS to my house. Its always been in good order & well stocked. Cashiers are always willing to help out the bottom line by offering the coupons that are available. Get the app! Always a 40% coupon. Today I bought 2 bigger ticket items & cashier let me do 2 separate transactions, so I could get 40% twice. That was pretty cool. read more

The only reason I didn't give a five star is the time I spent looking for help. No one had on name tags so they missed out on getting acknowledged. Michaels is always my go too spot for my craft ideas, I never leave without spending at least $50 or more. The store look like they're going out of business. I needed wire to hang a heavy picture over the fireplace. I went here after finding Hobby Lobby was closed. The store itself is loaded with stuff. So much so that it is a maze to get through the store. When I could not find what I needed on the shelf I tried to find a store employee to help me. After have the people working the floor either walk away or not being able to find any that were available I finally found a young lady working in the backroom. I asked for her help and I will say she went above and beyond. She not only stoped what she was doing but also went out to the shelf and looked at the bins under to find what I needed. Compared to the other people working this lady changed my experience from I will never come here again to somewhere I will go to first. read more

Let's see. I would call this your average size michaels. Craftsy, as expected. What I didn't expect was the limited amount of yarn available. This store was missing out on so many colors and brands. For the location of this Michaels, I guess I just expected so much more. When the cashier rung me up, I asked her about the brand in question (Premier Everyday) and she had no idea what I was talking about nor did she offer to ask anyone about it or try to find out. It's a brand I've purchased from other Michael locations in the past. In addition to this, I was disappointed to find a few items of interest weren't physically/visually priced. One item in particular were the big eyed Ty Beanies on an impulse rack at checkout. My daughter kept grabbing for them. There was a buy one get one half off but nothing to tell me how much the items were. So needless to say, I left the unpriced toys right there. Same with some of the yarn that WAS available. They did not have pricing which was pretty disappointing.... especially during the "lowest prices of the season event" which is why I went to michaels to begin with but what good is it if I can't even see where or how much I'm saving. Were the items on sale or regular priced? Well I guess I've written enough. Hopefully, the staff can be more informed and maybe do a better job of placing price labels on their merchandise. This was my first time in a Michaels, I usually go to Hobby Lobby, or Joann's, but I thought I would mix it up. I had a big project I was working on and was completely lost on what I was doing. A girl (Loolita? I believe) immediately came to my aide with one of the warmest welcomes. I may not have known what I was doing, but she in no way made me feel stupid or inferior. I am for sure a fan. I stopped in this store in hopes of finding some items that I can't find in my local store. Although their prices tend to be higher then their competitors. They have a great rewards program that gets you great coupons which make their prices easier to swallow. Parking lot was clean, the bathrooms should be tended to more. Store is jammed picked with stuff. Fairly organized though.They need more personnel. Staff at the register are nice and friendly but lines tend to be long. Worth the trip if you know what you are looking for. Just know before you go because you will not be able to find someone to help you. They are consist from store to store, state to state. read more

If I could give this place no stars or negative stars I would. What a disaster, and I'm being kind and generous with that adjective. I walked in at 10:00 on a Tuesday morning. I was looking for 3 specific things and couldn't find one of them. I tried using the app, where I had saved my favorites. The Michael's app is glitchy at best and it's hit and miss with its accuracy of where items are located. Catch up, Michael's, if regional grocery store HEB can master the art of an efficient app, so can you. I searched for someone to help me for at least 3 minutes. The woman with a Michael's vest couldn't be bothered to help me as she was stocking the bathrooms with toilet paper. I then finally found someone to help me. When I asked if he worked there his response was, "yes but I probably don't know where any thing you need is. Sorry. Try asking the person at the register, if you can find them." Nice customer service, Ace. I wasn't about to go ask the person at the register because since I walked in the door, she was chit chatting at 80 decibels with the customer there as if she were having a family reunion. I should have known better, the last time I was there I asked a woman for help finding an item and it was clear that I had annoyed her that I had asked her to do her job. I made do with what I was able to find and got the heck out of Dodge. Just don't come here if you don't know exactly what you're looking for is. Hobby Lobby has abhorrent social policies so I ain't spending my dime there in this lifetime. Not sure where I'll go. Certainly not here. read more

I love this Michael's for a number of reasons. It's location is great for me (located in the old Borders Bookstore in the Forum). If you need to have any custom framing, custom mats cut, or just need some suggestions for frames in general, Tuesday (yes, that's really her name) is A-MAZING. She helped me with a number of projects and all of them turned out wonderful many thanks to her. I also found Taylor to really helpful when I needed to find some arts and crafts products for a project. He got what I was going for and was very enthusiastic with lots of ideas to boot. Everyone I seem to encounter here seems to really honestly love their job. The only down side that I see here is that it is smaller than almost any other Michael's I have been into. All in all I would (and do) continue to go back. :) read more

Crop night on the first Saturday if every month from 3 to 6! It is 5 bucks and you get a professional to help you with ideas as well as be able to use their fun stuff including the cricut. The store is always clean and the employees are super helpful. If you get their app for your phone (it's free) then you can get some great coupons! read more

Michael's at Forum Pkwy is quite organized as compared to the one on 410. I got in at 8:50 pm and I wasn't expecting I will be done shopping by 9:08 pm. Yes! they don't hover over you if they are ready to close and you are still shopping but they make sure you are in the correct aisle and you are finding everything okay. I found perfect stems for my flower making project and before I saw these stems I didn't know they even existed. I always used to straighten the curled green wires. Their collection of square party papers is awesoooome and indeed hard to decide which one to grab and which one to ditch! Great customer service staff because they want to make sure that their customers take advantage of rewards as well as coupons available online. Isn't life is all about getting just a dollar off and being soooo happy? I am super duper happy when I get genuine discounts =) read more

One thing that bugs me as the door open is the strong potpourri smell. It hits me like a log each time. This small store has a lot of items. I mean a lot for a small space. I always use a coupon when coming in to buy something. Always check their weekly specials. Sometimes they run one day specials which can be almost 70% off. I don't find everything I need but they have a lot more things then some. Worth visiting if your that crafty and creative person. read more

Whatever you do friends, DO NOT use Michael's framing department in this store. I spent almost $700 on 3 frames and two of them had to be reworked 3 times. The frames didn't align at the corners and they tried to tell me they could "putty" it. Ummmmmm. No. So after 3 trips, it was finally right..... UNTIL we got them home. While the frames appeared square but they were actually about 1 inch longer on one side and they put the artwork in the mat off by 90 degrees and it looked horrible. All of our guests noticed they didn't align, but I didn't want to lug the large frames all the way back to the store again and I was OVER their lack of service and quality. It took me almost a year, but finally got fed up and took them back to be fixed. Was told by the manager, Diana, it could be up to 2 weeks to fix them. 2 weeks. To open the back, turn the artwork, and re-adhere the paper. 2 weeks. For their error. So I'm back at the mercy of Michael's and their poor quality and service after spending a fortune and lugging the large frames back and forth. Friends. Trust me. Don't use their framing department. Go to Hobby Lobby. read more

This rating is just purely based on customer service. Not from all of the employees, I have had this one younger gal help me twice and she was completely pleasant and willing to help, problem is I think she is new to Michaels and not a transfer because she didn't have any answers to my questions and had to ask someone else... I won't go into details of my two very bad experiences because this review will be longer than anyone will be willing to read, but basically this guy that appears to be a store manager was pretty snappy with me. I felt like I was an employee and not a customer... Also there seems to be tons of workers, but when I have a question it's a mission to flag someone down! Of course I will go back because it's Michaels and let's face it, sometimes we just have to shop somewhere because of the products needed but yet just go into it knowing not to expect the best customer service... read more

DO NOT GET YOUR PICTURES OR CERTIFICATES FRAMED HERE! The quality and the service here is terrible. After waiting two weeks for my degree to be framed, I realized they are missing the "raise" I paid for. So the lady takes it to the back and says she can add it in and to give her 20 minutes. So I did. She added the "raise" but then I noticed the back was poorly put back together. Now I know it's the back of the frame but this frame is holding my greatest accomplishment in it, I would hope the people framing it would give it the all-round care I think it deserved. So I told her I did not like the backing. She honestly just stared at me like a deer caught in the headlights and just brought her manager over to talk to me. Now the framing manager was worst! She came off with an attitude right from the start and acted like: It's the back of the frame, why does it matter-attitude? I was just appalled the way she handled the whole situation. Which honestly if she handled it better, I probably wouldn't have made such a big deal over the whole ordeal. But this was something I truly treasured and for them to not give it the overall service and care (especially paying $300+ for it) made me never want to come back and I won't. read more
