First time here and really enjoyed our trip. It was supposed to be "only looking/no buying" kinda pit stop but omg ... the prices, the sales, the decor... most importantly.. the ideas it gave me to decorate my house. I usually enjoy shopping @ At Home and visit often, using my military discount without issue. During my most recent visit, however, David insisted I needed a phone number to receive the discount, which has never been required before. When I politely asked when this policy changed, he claimed it had always been that way during his two years there. After unnecessary back-and-forth over a small discount, the store manager confirmed that a phone number is not required. The interaction was unpleasant and uncalled for. I recommend placing more customer service-oriented employees at the front registers. read more

I love shopping At Home! Recently picked up some fall decor for my home. During checkout, I noticed that the prices did not show up on the customer's keypad. When I looked at the associate's register screen, he got defensive. I told him that I'm verifying the prices. This was my very first visit in an At Home store this year. I doubt that I'll visit this location again or any At Home store in awhile. Truly ridiculous! read more

While looking for some planters, stumbled across At Home advertisement. Decided to go take a look. Will say there is a wide variety of planters. The ongoing sale of 25% off helped with the enticement. Once there I did manage to find some bargains that were 50% off. I originally wanted a planter on a top shelf & I struggled to get anyone to help. I called the store & was told would be awhile as there were only 2 people running the store. 30 minutes later I decided to leave. What concerned me is that it was hard to manage the cart between aisles, the aisles were blocked with sales items or ladders. Pretty sure this is a fire hazard. If you have patience and are able to navigate in tight spaces, should check this place out. read more

I purchased six Westin Outdoor Chairs from store #144, I believe employee #705395 assisted me at that time. Now when I purchased them I didn't have a place to store them as I was waiting on my pool being built. The employee who assisted me at that time told me I could leave them there as long as I would like as they have a big warehouse with plenty of room and so I did. I would call in and check periodically every few months to make sure this was still okay and was told yes, my chairs would be fine. Well a few weeks ago I went to go pick up my chairs and they are no where to be found. I was told by Lindy the store manager that their policy is to told a day or two. If this is the case and they indeed pull them from the floor then why was I not called to come and get them a few days after my transaction? When they ran store inventory why did they not see in the books that they sold more chairs than the inventory said they had? I am not asking for the chairs as I know stock is very limited this time of year but I would like store credit or my money back. To be told there is nothing they can do to give me my 974.19 for chairs I never received back is unacceptable and someone is either stealing or doing some shady accounting at that store. read more

This is a good place to visit when you are looking for reasonably priced items on things you will probably replace in a few years time. The quality is similar to that of Ikea and Home Goods so they have a great selection of moderately priced and moderate quality goods. It is great place to find a variety of patio furniture, kitchen and bar chairs and stools, garden decorations, and much, much more. We have purchased our bar stools from there as well as a number of decorating items throughout our house. For the price and selection, you can't go wrong here. Definitely recommend to go when you are not in a hurry and have time to browse the aisles. read more

This is a good/bad place to visit...don't go if you can't resist some really cool finds as rarely will I leave without something great to find. We are currently working on a decorating project and were looking for a variety of small clocks to hang on our wall. My husband could hardly contain me...good thing he was there or I'd have bought double :-) They have a variety of areas to choose from including bedding, outdoor items for your patio, seasonal decorations, wall art, rugs, variety of unique furniture. If you aren't sure what you are looking for...it's also just a great place to browse for that right piece! We found some really great barstools there in the past and the variety of clocks were a hit. Can't wait to finish the project. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Furniture is not the best quality but you can find anything you need "at home" in this store. Prices are fair and the selection is wide. You can get lost in this store if you're shopping for a season, a room, outdoors, your pet, and any little decor nic nac you want to buy this is a store worth stopping to shop. At Home is always great, but this location specifically is a bit less organized than the other locations that I've been to. It's a bit difficult to find a staff member to help when you're on the floor, but once you can find someone to help out, they've always been really nice. At Home is like an American IKEA. This place is big, clean, and has lots of options. They have everything from mattresses to Buddha heads to mirrors to clocks. They've got tons of stuff for the home and garden. If you look in the right area (out front) they have their deepest discounts. The stuff they have is diverse, and it looks to be pretty good quality. Their selection is large, and the prices seem to be fair. There are no clerks to help you out here, which is a bit of a bummer. The parking is easy, and the place is well lit. read more

If you're furnishing or updating your home decor and can't find anything you like here, you must be the pickiest person ever! Lots of super cute things here, from furniture to canvas arts and fake plants. Reminds me of a SUPERSIZED version of HomeGoods, make sure you don't need to go anywhere afterwards because you'll be in here for a while. Def not a place to go for designer furniture, but quality is OK and I even spotted some really cute mid century modern chairs! Their return policy is 60 days, which is pretty generous and plenty of time to make your decision. I first visited At Home off 410 and Culebra a few years ago, so I was happy to see this new location pop up in what was a very ancient abandoned Tarjey. At Home has brought to life what is the Sunset/281 airport/Jones Maltsberger cluster of roadways. What use to only hold a Whattaburger and Sears, we now see Tuesday Morning, Sketchers, Specs and Cross-Fit. Praise them! I love At Home. It's like the hipster, modern, classic cheaper version of Pier One in a warehouse inventory sort of atmosphere. I think a lot of products are from neighboring states, like Oklahoma and some things made in Texas. Read your labels. Deals on deals, all day. "Every holiday, every season, every reason. At Home." I should trademark that. Call me, corporate!!! Shop here often. read more

I placed buy online pick up in store order at your San Antonio location for 8 concrete planters. When I went in to pick them up, 3 of them were very obviously cracked on the top edges. Vanessa was the one helping me, later found out she is a team lead. I asked why I was being given broken merchandise and was told, this is just how some of our product comes. She did tell me to go out on the floor to see if there were some I cracked ones. I'm pretty annoyed by this point. If there are uncracked ones, why on earth would you pick an order with damaged ones? But seeing as I had spent over $500 on these, I went and looked. I was able to find non cracked ones. Vanessa walked by me, did not bother offering to help or anything, I then asked to speak to a manager and found out it was her at the time. She did a very poor job of customer service in this instance. Very unhelpful and walked away as I was talking to her. The whole point of using this service was to save time. I ended up wasting time using this service. I will not and would not recommend using your pick up in store service as you are given damaged product. read more

The patio set we bought had a problem when we got it home, so I called the store. The manager (Dawn) worked hard and fast to rectify the situation for us, keeping in touch the whole time. Love the selection to the store. Short story, shopping with my infant son and elderly grandmother we went looking for a shelf. Here is the issue, the shelves and tables are merely piled high on top of one another. It looks unsafe and it is, poses a danger. On our visit... first visit mind you. There must of been a limited amount of staff or staff willing to help. When we did find someone the employee begrudgingly grabbed the unsafe table from the a top of the secondarily shelf... carelessly grabbing it. My mother and infant son were just a few steps away when everything came falling down. There must of been a table with glass on top of it and it basically shattered at my feet. The same employee instead of helping and asking if we were ok walked away, and no other staff came by to aid. We made a complaint to the employees at the register but nothing was done. So if this employee still works at this location, buyer beware! He's a little careless! read more

Well what can I say about this store this store by far took the cake i recently was shopping here when all of a sudden I start hearing employees bickering and sounded like they were bullying one employee. I heard one employee tell another to SHUT THE F**K UP and was just being beyond rude yelling and being extremely loud if could hear it from an isle across she just far was being loud. I tried my best to get a glimpse at the person yelling that way I could make a complain because in my professionalism as myself being a manager that definitely is not acceptable anywhere what so ever. Well as soon as it was time for me to check out I asked one sweet cashier what was that one ladies name i saw aggressively yelling she gave me the name Lindy. Someone needs to speak with this lady and teach her some manners. I definitely will not be shopping at this store anymore SO UNPROFESSIONAL. If I could give no stars I would. read more

Beware when buying seasonal items on sale! I went shopping for storage for my Christams tree, the only thing I found was a bag priced 50% off, paid $16.23 for it BUT before paying for it I asked the cashier if this item was returnable since I was having doubts on whether to store my Christmas Tree in this bag or in a plastic box, she confirmed that it was refundable as long as I had the receipt, so I paid for it. This happened on a tuesday, I decided to store my tree in a plastic box since it would keep better than in a bag, so I went back to the store on thrusday of that same week only to find out that Christmas Merchandise had gone down to 75% off, therefore I would only get $8.11 for an item for which I paid twice as that, had a receipt for it and which was unopened. Spoke to the manager but she just said she couldn't override the register and I would only get that. So, nothing she could do or cared to do about it. Taking it to corporate, not because of the amount (obiously $17 is not a lot!) but because to me this seems really unfair if I paid one amount, have an unused and unopened item and get whatever they want to give me for it, that's called STEALING! read more
