This store is a mixture of craft, fabric, and home decor shop all into one. They have plenty of items that can accommodate your birthday, wedding, and scrapbook needs all at affordable prices. Many of their items have discounts applied to them which is great as you hardly have to pay full price. The store is organized into sections which makes it easier for you to find exactly what you are looking for. Many of the seasonal items have its own section which is about 3-4 isles long - much bigger than other retail stores. The discounted prices are clearly marked with signs as to when the prices are valid. They always have a 40% discount coupon online that is valid on any regular items. This is my first stop for Christmas decorations they have so many items that are unique and great quality. I like that it is arranged by colors and themes which makes it helpful if you need help picking a theme. If I need fake flowers this is my first stop they have huge/tall ready made flowers to use for centerpieces and main attractions. They have readymade bouquets that you can either add-on more flowers or add your own embellishments. The flowers are in good condition they are not falling apart and the colors does not fade quickly when you use it outdoors. The other side of the store are the fabric supplies and where they held classes. They are close on Sundays and closes early at 8 during the week so keep that in mind if you are working late on a project. Customer service is scarce - there are hardly any employees on the floor walking around to help you. If you need help you might have to ask a cashier or look for them while stocking the shelves. Every Hobby is exactly the same and this one is no different. The mega-sized store. The bright cheery lights and decorations. The same beautiful merchandise. Most of the items are on sale all the time so you wonder if anyone actually buy stuff here at retail prices. It also makes you wonder what the wholesale prices of these items are if they are slash the prices by 40-50% on a regular basis. You can go online and get a 40% off on any items. Really? How do you make a profit? Everyone is overly nice and friendly like your Chick-a-Filet. This is the first time going here to Hobby Lobby and boy was I surprised. The amount of items they have inside this store is incredible. What I noticed was that the stuff they carry isnt just cheap old junk either its all actually good very well made items. We particularly liked the backyard area like signs, anchors etc considering we have a pool in our backyard and we are always looking for things to hang on our wooden fence. We didnt have a chance to look at not even close the whole store cause we got there with only 15 minutes until closing time but i assure you i will be updating this review and input some pics when i do. read more

First off, we have been in a customer service and retail business for a very long time. The success of a business, especially in retail is based off a customer service and the people that provided after last night I truly believe some people should not be allowed to be in a certain job or position if they don't hold themselves accountable for customer service satisfaction. If you don't wanna talk or deal with kids or people, then I really truly believe you should not be in customer service or any job matter of fact that has to deal with face-to-face interactions, This used to be our go to store. My wife and I have always use the store to help build our business and also they usually have everything we need to make the kids projects for school as you know the holiday seasons here so everything can get a little crazy and hectic. Last night me and my wife and our kids rushed to the store and we got there about 30 minutes before closing. and we're trying to get stuff to build a Narnia project for one of our daughters. Now for the most part, if you're a parent, you know shopping with kids can get a little hectic and crazy. Our kids are usually in very good behavior. Last night our youngest son was standing by me while we were in the aisle of the wooden premade boxes trying to figure out what we're going to do for my daughters project. Now as a Boy, he likes to touch and feel and learn about all the cool things that he sees around him. So we were at the end aisle and he saw the Styrofoam head pieces and started to play with them. He didn't make a mess. All he did was just lay down for of the heads that were standing up now needless to say we're not the type of parents that would just leave a mess after the kids make it. So I was waiting for him to be done so that I can tell him to put it back the way it was it's just the right thing to do and a few isles down. There was a lady that started yelling at my child and saying "seriously do you know how hard we work to keep this place, clean and in order"I don't know about you guys but I feel like that's really out of hand and out-of-pocket. It's my child and I can handle my own kid. She should approached me or at least wait to see what I would do before yelling at the kid and I'm not saying this to back him up because that's my child, but I'm saying this because things like that can affect them. She had no right to make my son feel sad and depressed because he got yelled at by a stranger. Before we left, I did make him put everything back as I was going to make him do the beginning but were no longer going to the store because the customer service for a older lady to do that to a child is not right we are the parents and we should've been approached and it would've been handled but like I said in this situation we would've handled it and I was already gonna handle it because I don't let my kids act like that in public, nor at home. He was just curious and just having fun as a little boy should, he shouldn't have walked out the store wanting to cry. read more

This a mega store for crafts and holiday decorations. My wife and daughter loves it here. I thought they had more guy hobby stuff, but this is more like a Michaels or Joann's under one roof. I've not been to Hobby Lobby in 5 weeks. My complaint is about their manager Jim, and his employee, Ed. Previously one of their area managers said, if the box of toy cars are at the end of the isle. Don't open. If it's in the isle it goes in, it's ok to look. Just incase sharp objects. I said there is a chance in both areas. So I walked into the Cypress store late noon around 5:45pm. I seen the toy cars on top of a shopping Kart. I asked the polite young guy in the back if I could look. He, said, it wasn't his department, so go right ahead. Then the staff member Ed came over a few minutes later and said "What are you doing, you're not supposed to go through there" I told him, that the member of staff through the back told me to go ahead. Then rather than Ed ask him. He said to me "You are lying" So then he asked the guy in the back. I said when he tells you, you are apologize. He ended up saying sorry, when the guy told me he did. Then I asked to speak to the store manager Jim. Rather than him deal with it. Ed, ended up saying he never said it. I asked Jim to ask the guy through the back. He said, no. I don't believe you. Then continued his, how staff don't like me, and staff from other stores because I complained to Corporate in the past. I said there are only a few members who are rude. Most are nice. And I'm always nice to them, and them in return. I told him. There is a way to fix that. It's called staff training. Then he said. Yes I know. You buy a lot because you are a rich guy. But still use our staff discount. I said. Yes. People who have money, have money because they are smart with money. And I wouldn't pay their 45% over priced goods. There was a lot said from his part. He should be embarrassed the way he runs the store. If anyone else has had a run in with any rude individuals from Jim, or Ed, or anyone else. Let me know. read more

This was my first visit and I must say, I wish I had the whole day. This was hurtful as I came in the late evening to see if they carried any fairy garden items. Well I was most impressed because they had a great selection of fairy garden stuff up front near their flower/garden section. It was funny as I was lead from the back to the front of the store that a lot of employees stated that they really love the fairy garden area. I can certainly see why. So much eye candy!!! Good Lord. Next time I visit Hobby Lobby, I'm going to take a nice leisurely stroll aisle by aisle. I recently purchased over 2 hundred dollars in merchandise 50 dollars of which was artificial floral plants. I went in 4 days after the purchase for 1 more item and noticed that all the floral plants were 50 % off. I have the receipt and was told that I would have to BRING in everything I purchased including the items not on sale in order to get an adjustment. REALLY! well that is impossible since some of the items were Christmas decorating items that I have already used for craft projects. So basically Hobby Lobbies policy is make it so difficult on the customer that it will be impossible for them to return or get adjustments. Message received loud and clear! ! I'd give them a zero for helpfulness if I could. I bought an item online and assumed because I had the email with pictures of the items and an order number that that's all I'd need. Unfortunately I needed the hard copy of receipt which I no longer had. Talk about a dated system. The women helping me said she knew nothing about online returns and didn't even TRY to help me. I usually wouldn't give Hobby Lobby only a one star rating, but when I'm treated like a 3 year old by a cashier, they deserve one star. I shop there at least once if not twice a week and I've never been spoken to the way I was today. The cashiers name is Maddie and apparently I was standing too close to the people in front of me who were done with their transaction. I walked up, put one thing on the counter and as I was walking back to stand behind the shopping cart Maddie decided to raise her voice and call me out. I'm a grown adult and don't need to be talked to like a child. If I had to guess I'd say Maddie was having a bad day. If true, she needs to leave her bad day at home. She continued to speak to me in a rude tone so I just let her finish the transaction and I left. I had to bite my tongue because I'm not in right mindset today to deal with that. You never know what someone may be going through and it costs nothing to be kind. I have no problem with someone asking me to step back a little if she felt I was too close (with the exception of my placing the item on the counter I was standing behind the cart the rest of the time I was in line and the tone of her comment was not needed and was rude. read more

They are complete Christian racists! Accused me of stealing when I didn't steal anything or have any intention too. In fact I have an anxiety disorder and bipolar disorder and art is the only outlet I have and I was feeling kinda down so I was having a hard time deciding and my hands filled up rather quickly before I had even thought to grab a cart. Seeing that I have an anxiety disorder having them follow me around made me anxious and I told them to stop following me then the manager completely embarrassed me in public accusing me of things saying that I had no intention to buy my items and when I tried to buy them they told me that my money wasn't good there and said they didn't need my business! Being bipolar is never easy but they completely ridiculed me and made fun of me when I explained I didn't have a cart when I had used a canvas bag that I was going to purchase as a shopping bag what's the difference between a reusable bag from home and one of theirs they sell?! They didn't even give me a chance to buy it just wrongly accused me and then didn't allow me to even buy anything after if I was trying to hide something I wouldn't have offered to buy the items but maybe it's because I don't have a pale complexion and blue eyes. read more

The store is stock with many inventory. Fairly enjoyed what I found. I didn't really like when I was checking out though. I asked the lady in the register if she had any coupons with her because I know that the vase is 50% off so about $8.99. Which is a great find but she responded I don't have it with me. I pulled a 40% coupon online and she had applied to the vase! She said I could only use the 40% on one item which is find with me. I know something was off while checking out because I was surprise with the total. She just said how are you going to pay without addressing the 50% of the vase. I happened to walk in about 20 mins or so before closing last night. Which we had no problem with, found few things and went to check out, like always they have great sales. I grabbed a decor from a table that had a sign everything 50% which I thought was great deal for the wall decor, apparently ''I'' didn't read! The cashier RUBY was very rude with a negative attitude. I was explaining to her about the sign when she then stops me and says 'Listen, I'm telling you it's only for table decore this is wall decor! ( while pointing at it) very rudely. I told her it's ok remove it I'll come back when there's time and I'll read sign this time. She gave me an ugly look and I'm getting this weird vibe from her. Then she rang up some picture frames I was going to purchase and wanted to use the 40% off coupon I got online. Totally didn't understand why but whatever, when I go to pay, I usually just tap, since my debit card is saved on phone. She's staring a me with a blank expression like she had no idea what I was trying to do. She gives me the total again and I said ok I'm tapping to avoid more contact, she said we don't have Apple Pay, I don't know what kinda phone you have, we only take Samsung Pay?? This was my 1st visit to any Hobby Lobby store. Every employee but one greeted me. So refreshing to see employees appreciate that you are shopping in their store. This store has everything and then some. I only have one negative thing to say ... all the stores around you put their Thanksgiving stuff out too early and then sell out too early, so did you. Thanksgiving merchandise was Slim Pickens when I went in mostly Christmas stuff. Wouldn't it be nice if you were the only one that still had a good selection??? I visited Hobby Lobby this morning to see if they had any glass vases available. When I got the floral dept and saw some of their options, they were a little to much for my budget. My daughter and I still decided to look around to see if we can find other options. We finally got to the glass isle which had many glass vases on display. Very affordable by the way. Then I saw a promotional offer that stated glass crafts 50% off. My daughter and I got very excited since we needed 6 of them. When we got to the checkout the clerk charged us full price. I immediately informed her that they had a promotion for 50% off. She immediately addressed it on her headset and said " they checked there is no sign". I know what I saw so with confidence I told her that I could walk back there with the associate and show them. We got there and sarcastically she said "where? There is no sign" her name was Sherry I believe she was the manager. I told her if I wasn't confident I would not have walked all the way there and I told that I knew they took the sign down and now they wouldn't honor it. She stated she would but the sign was not there. I had to get back in line and pay the full price which it is what it is. But the way Sherry made me feel was unrealistic. She made me feel and look like a liar. Her tone was not professional and their dishonesty was unacceptable. If the sign was there and they took it down they should of taken ownership. I was disappointed in their service and will not be shopping here anymore. read more

My experiences at Hobby Lobby are usually okay, I always gave the employees and manager the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it's just a stressful day. However every time I wait in line to check out, the manager or employee that is monitoring the lines is always giving dirty looks. Today she proceed to move everyone to the next line and told me to "Move up" in the rudest voice ever. As if I didn't know. I was so shocked I didn't even catch her name, I was ready to just leave my stuff and go. Then once I go to pay for my items, the cashier does a "hah" when I put my items down. She proceeded with small talk, but had a rude tone, and also kept giving snooty looks. I just can't believe how awful my experience was today.
