I have been to the store about 8 or 9 times. I have to…read moretravel to this small town for work occasionally and shop to pass time I suppose. Almost every single time I've been to this store, the employees are some of the coldest, most miserable employees ever. In fact, recently I asked an employee to try on some clothes and she looked at me with this cold glare as if I was interruptinh what she was doing and huffed, stomped over and unlocked the door for me. I approach with kindness and have not recieved the same courtesy. I get the impression that they have no desire to do the job in which they signed up for. When I go to pay on multiple occasions, they make no eye contact, say absolutely nothing and go through the motions of ringing up my purchases. Not even the courtesy of "hi, how are you, did you find everything okay". I've heard the staff gals complaining about having to restock clothes that customers tried on. It made me feel like I was an inconvenience to spend my money there. However, I always go back anyways as they have great sales. That's why I bumped it up to 2 stars otherwise the staff is a full blown ZERO. I've walked out a few times considering calling corporate. Corporate, IF you are reading this, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have an in service with the staff here on customer interaction.

I came in to buy a small entry table. I could not get any help after 45 minutes, so I had to take…read morethe table down off a platform that was 7 foot high. First I had to move a lot of other items out of the way, to make a clear path and a place to sit it into the floor. Thr table was a little bit heavier than it looked, and I actually ended up hurting myself in the process of taking it down, but nothing more than a couple of minor bruises that will heal without medical attention in about a week. Then I had to move the table all the way to the front of the store, myself!!! When the nice lady called two men to help me take it to my car, the dispatched men refused to help me. The younger of the two, told me he wast going to go get someone to help me. By now, it's been an hour and a half since I had decided to buy the table. The older man that was still in the front looked like he had just hatched out of an egg and couldn't locate his mother. As instructed by the nice young lady, I went to get my care and pulled up by the front door. By this time the younger guy was back and I'm thinking someone had told him to stop trying to get out of his customer service obligations. But both of them looked like this was the first piece of furniture either of them had ever moved out of a room. I opened my hatch and they just stood there looking at it. I asked them to move out of the way, and lifted my table all by myself. I'm 69 years old and neither of these men were close to being a senior citizen. In fact, I doubt their combined ages add up to mine. They both complained the entire time BUT NEITHER LIFTED FINGER!! I asked them if they had a piece of twine to tie my trunk door. The older one (of the two) suggested I buy some homecoming ribbon. I bit my tongue and looked down at the sidewalk. I knew if I looked at his face, I was coming undone on his ass in the front of the Hobby Lobby. I only had to drive a very short distance, but I wanted to protect my back door from bouncing too much. They complained so much that I finally just told them, "Look, I had to take this table down all by myself, carry it to the front of the store and lift it into my vehicle while listening to both of you complain about how this table wasn't going to fit. But it did fit and neither if you contributed a single shred of help. All you offered was your negativity to make things more challenging. So I'm asking that one of you stand guard over the table while I go buy something nextdoor at "5 and Below" to secure my back door for the 900 yard trip home. The younger one stayed, but offered no help when I returned with a jump rope for a tie down. I didn't expect an IBM engineer to help me. But just a tiny bit of a "can do" attitude and willingness to team up with me and help, would have been completely incredible. I made it home with my new little table and looks amazing in my entry area. But those two employees broke the record for the two most useless lifeforms I've ever seen in my almost 70 years!! The should be wearing Tee Shirts that say "TIT 1 on a Boar Hog" and "TIT 2 on a Boar Hog" in Dr. Suess font and motif.

I finally gave up and asked one woman as she came down from the ladder. Of course, the other end of the store. Fortunately I found what I was looking for, grabbed a red heart to put on my door wreath and proceeded to the cash register. She was very nice and did not object to me making 2 purchases. Will I be back? You bet but hopefully I can find what I'm after by myself!

After driving across whole greater Austin area on the weekend of the 4th to look at all 4th of July…read moredeals at all major furniture store, we drove home empty handed and feeling defeated. Between sale items not being available for showing and backed up for delivery towards end of August and pushy salesmen we didnt manage to get anything going. We just moved into our new build home and wanted to find some light furnishings and more importantly some beds for family to sleep on since we decided to junk our old smelly mattresses from the place we were renting prior. Almost home and we saw mr. Nabb sign from other side of highway. Decided to stop for one last shot at finding something and was I glad we did. Met by such a personable family that owned the store. They made us felt welcomed, listen to our story and began to pull out all sorts of mattresses from the back for is to lay on and try to find a perfect match for our preferences. It was closing time for them but they were doing their best to provide us with unparalleled experience. Not only did we get fair prices on all items we chose, but they actually had them available right there and then. Owner even offered to deliver them to us that same night so my family wouldn't have to sleep on the floors not one night more. I couldn't even begin to explain how much that meant to me. I highly recommend this lovely business and encourage all new folks moving to Bastrop to check them out and promise you wont regret it. Thank you mr Nabb family, you have customer for life with us!
