My wife and I have been here several times, always great customer service! They have a great selection of clothes, boots and even hats! We've shopped and several well known western type stores and this one definitely has the best price! read more

Hunter Darnell gave me the best customer service I've had in a long time! He helped me find my exact size and the perfect pair of boots I was looking for. He was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole shopping experience easy and enjoyable. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping customers. I'll definitely be coming back just because of him! Hunter is a huge asset to Texas Boot Company and absolutely deserves a raise for the outstanding service he provides. Logan Dylan was awesome! Helped find an awesome pair of boots for a hard size. Very happy customer

I only have one issue. Please bring back the Olathe boots. They're my favorite. I went in a few weeks ago ready and willing to drop money on a new pair for my wedding. Other than that I religiously only buy from here. Great place. read more

Absolutely love this place. Flew down from San Francisco for one day to buy a few pairs. The thing that makes Texas Boot Co different is that they only carry quality. Some places have great stuff and junk. This place has all well selected boots, regardless of the brand. Also, staff are amazing. Friendly, helpful, patient and honest. No other boot shop I've ever seen like this place. read more

I grew up on ranch in Driftwood, Texas. Worked cattle for 30+ years of my life. Now, the irony of said statement? I'd don't own a pair of cowboy boots. No Wrangler, Cinch, Ariat, HOOey, Rocky Mountain, Old Gringo...etc. Same with my vehicle purchases. Yes, I own a Silverado and a Jeep Wrangler for the ranch. Vehicle of choice is a Mazda Miata. Knowing I'm in the minority I chose Texas Boot Company as a pit stop on a recent car club run. I LOVE the smell of a boot shop; hits you the second you open the door. In the case of TBC, the second thing would be an eager staff ready to assist you! My group immediately felt welcome and taken care of from start to finish. Worth a stop; even if your weird like me read more

I first came here with a Yelp group sometime ago. I remembered it immediately when my wife asked for boots for Christmas. My mother wanted to get her her first pair when we were in Georgia last November, but it wasn't meant to be. When I finally had to bring my family it was a quiet, sunny Sunday. We walked in and we're immediately greeted by the employees. What seemed like a group of teenagers. But they were super friendly and helpful. One girl even catered to my daughters every whim in opening every box of boots in the children's section. Thank you for that. My daughter then found her favorite pair. Blue with tassels. One down, two to go. My wife shopped a few aisles skipping over the ostentatious ones to finally come to a decision on a pair she liked. Brown with brown, but comfortable. My turn. I was shopping directly behind another family. The wife had her husband trying a pair here and there. I saw some he tried but didn't like. So I tried them on. Perfect fit. Comfortable and stylish. Beautiful. My daughter wanted to see a cat I mentioned. Mountain lion actually, one you wouldn't know about without getting the tour of the place. The back trophy room has a mounted cat, an axis and bison. She loves s. At checkout for 3 pairs of Ariat boots total with tax was $460.03. Incredible. My last pair, from a decade ago, cost half that. So we hope to have these boots for many many years to come. Thanks Texas Boot Company. read more

Love these folks! Super friendly staff, very helpful, and cute girls. Gotta love a girl in tight country jeans & cowboy boots! Found a great pair of boots here. They didn't have my size but we're happy to order them for me. read more

Ten out of ten do not recommend buying from the Texas boot company. My wife purchased a brand new pair of horse power top hand boots for me as a gift. I wore them twice and noticed a small tear in the back of the heel that truly looks like a factory defect. They told me that they would not exchange the boots and that I would have to go through horsepower directly if I wanted anything to be done. That's pretty poor customer service. read more

Unimpressed with customer service - had to call 3 times for a refund. Store is filthy - unswept. Will only shop online, if at all.

These guys are my heroes. Not only is there inventory phenomenal, their staff attentive, but their owner really truly cares about his customers. We came through in a rowdy bunch for Yelp's Day Trip To Bastrop for a shopping spree and a calf roping exercise. We had a fabulous time but unfortunately at the end of the day I realized my UT graduation ring was missing. Among the hundred other stores in Bastrop I called, plus the party bus company, I sent Texas Boot Company on a scavenger hunt for my ring, as well, and they were more than happy to oblige. The owner even did a walk through the second he got off the phone with me yesterday, yielding no results. Today, he called me to say an 8 year old boy found my ring in a basket and their whole staff were elated when he turned it in. He called me and has placed it in the safe for me to come pick up. There couldn't be a better ending to this story. And, as an added bonus, I'll drive out to TBC over Fredericksburg or Cabella's any day to buy my cowboy boots from now on. Thanks SO much for taking great care of me! read more

There's something to be said about the smell of leather...it just Can't be Beat!! I came in the other day to browse for some boots as I was in Bastrop on business. Their selection is HUGE. The staff was exceptionally helpful and very friendly in helping select a pair of boots that I ended up buying that day. I have say that the folks at Texas Boot Company have by far the Best Customer Service I've ever experienced when buying a pair of boots!! TWO Thumbs UP! read more

They don't require customers to wear masks. Staff doesn't wear masks but the cashier tossed my receipt on the counter all coiled up in a circle! Just disrespectful. However, she did offer boxes for my books! So let's start from the beginning... I came here because I need boots. I was excited and anticipated my visit to this store as I had never been before. I was a bit let down. Upon arrival the store was fairly empty. I was greeted by the cashier and someone else when I entered and asked if they could help me. I told them I was just looking and would let them know if I required assistance. I was wearing exercise leggings sneakers and an over-sized t-shirt. It took a lot longer for me to decide because 1) all of the boots are on a aisle/shelf by size 2) the assortment of styles and colors are all lined up from the floor to four shelves up 3) comfort is very important to me because I spend the majority of the day on my feet. It is because of this that it took me longer to select my boots. Two younger ladies came by to ask if I needed help. Then an older lady with dark hair asked me if I needed help but she had a bit of intensity in her voice for some reason and didn't offer much help beyond me answering that question. I attempted to make small talk with one of the young ladies who came and stood at the end of the aisle but when I made a joke she made an obvious fake laugh I just made up in my mind that I needed to hurry and get out. I would have gone somewhere more welcoming but there isn't one close. One star for the greeting. Another star for checking on me. No one asked what I was looking for and no one gave any elaboration on the boot features I mentioned that I liked, which could have save me, and them, some time. Customer service was a little suspect. read more

The Texas Boot Company - The boots I bought and the storefront. - Shoe Stores Near Me - Bastrop, Texas

Despite it being a Monday, and most folks hating Monday, I was highly impressed with their gregarious nature and knowledge of BOOTS. Upon entering the store today and I was greeted by a very friendly woman by the name of Janice (I think? Names were never my strong suit). Even though Janice knew that I wasn't looking to buy at the moment, she still took the TIME to listen to my concerns, and past issues with ill-fitting boots. After asking what colors and toe style I was looking for, Janice went on to explain what a truly good fit felt like...etc. She probably spent at least an hour with me, pulling different combinations of brand, color, and style for me to test drive. I admire and appreciate her patience! After everything was said and done, I found two pairs that were perfect. They fit like a glove. I can't stress enough how at ease I felt, I wasn't rushed AT ALL. "If you ever feel rushed buying boots, it should be a cause for concern." - paraphrased from Janice. After my experience at Texas Boot Company, I have no doubt that I'll be back to purchase my next pair of boots from them. Yee-haw. read more

We drove in from College Station in search of boots my husband saw on the website. Walked in to four employees working, no customers. We were told hello but not "how can I help you?" I finally walked over to where an employee passed by and she reluctantly asked if we needed any help. I told her, yes my husband needs help finding a boot he saw onlime. She addressed him with flippant disrespect and had no clue what he was talking about when he asked about the boots... then wouldn't look it up for herself or ask another worker. We came in for $900 purchase. We just left. Should have stayed on College Station and heading back to spend our money there. read more

Yee-haw yall, I'm fixin to brag on these cowboys in a big way! Awesome service! Just awesome! And that's not the free beer talkin. I went here with a group on five ladies from all over Texas. Two of us were serious shoppers, two were potential buyers and one was along for the ride. We were greeted immediately and before we could try on our first pair, we were offered drinks including cold beer and margaritas. The goods: I tried on at least 10 pairs of boots and fell in love with four but none of them were in my size and weren't available online (insert tears). I didn't walk away empty handed though; I bought one of their crazy large Texas-shaped coffee mugs. The other serious shopper bought her first pair of proper cowboy boots and one of the other gals found a nice belt. After about an hour of shopping and drinking we went out front to take our silly tourist photo by the sign and one of the employees came out and offered to take it for us. Service after the sale! I'll be back for sure. read more

Used Lucchese boots arrived in a beat up Corral box. They were very scuffed on the bottom and even seams missing in several placed so they had been fairly well worn when received. Very disappointed as this was supposed to be my husband's christmas present and when I called to get an exchange she quickly said oh sorry and they did not have any more in that size so it wasn't even an option to order another pair. Definitely wouldn't buy from them again! read more

Bryan Sims is super knowledgeable and very friendly. Amazing customer service. We love the boots he helped us choose. The girls up front are great too. Good selection, fair prices, nice parking spaces but the service the service, great service y'all. Came in and almost automatically was helped out by a lady who told us it was like her goth day however she was doing everything to help us out. Bought a pair of boots as a gift and got them in the wrong size so we came back a couple hours later to exchange them. We got two feet inside the store and the same young lady was immediately helping us out setting up our exchange while she went and got us the right size. All in all great shopping experience and will be coming back for a pair or two for my own. read more

We stopped by Texas Boot Company March 31. The first thing I noticed was the smell of leather when I opened the door! And then I saw their HUGE selection. So many unique styles to choose from. The staff we encountered (Nicole and Marc) were authentically Texas friendly, offering to put on a pot of coffee for us , and knowledgeable-- showing us around the store and giving us insight into the styles that are true to texas. I didn't leave with boots that day, but will be back in May to pick some up, now that I know what I'm looking for. read more

We were visiting Texas from Washington state and made a point of stopping at Texas Boot Company. I follow them on social media and knew they specialize in quality, higher end cowboys boots for both work and pleasure. The place did not disappoint! With the offer of free shipping, I ended up purchasing a pair of boots at about 4:30 pm on a Thursday. We flew out of Texas the next day, and I really can't even fathom how it was possible, but my new boots were waiting for me on my doorstep when I arrived home Friday evening. Great customer service and the owner spent a fair amount of time taking us around the store and telling us all about the different styles and brands that are often custom made in collaboration with the boot makers. read more

Unbelievable customer service and an amazing shopping experience. I'm Texas raised but I've lived in Maryland for 20+ years. Dear friends in Bastrop told me about Marc Conselman and his folks at Texas Boot Company. While visiting they took me over to buy a pair of boots. Alexis met us at the door and skillfully guided me to a pair of alligators, belt, shirt and hat. I couldn't be happier. Cleaned the yankee right off me. I wore the whole outfit out of the store. I'll be back. Go see Marc and his team. They'll take care of you. read more

What a great store. The smell of leather is awesome. Tbc has a great assortment of boots to choose from. Also cool clothing. Ready for the rodeo. Any type of boot. My favorite is their upper end boot collection. They have boots that the owner Mark designs himself. Not available anywhere else. I even bought a cool cap. The staff is friendly and they always offer me a ice cold lone star beer. Great people. Great store!!!! read more

I purchased a pair of boots from the Texas Boot Company last week. They didn't fit well but I liked the way they looked so the nice sales rep assured me that they would put them on a boot stretcher for a week and I would just have to come back and pick them up. I live in Houston and often pass through Bastrop on my way to Austin so having to come back to pick them up was not an issue. A week passed and on my way to Austin, I stopped by the Texas Boot Company to pick up my new boots! Sadly, after I tried them on, I realized they had not been stretched as promised. When I approached the owner about this issue, he said "it was not his intention to defraud me" and that someone must have taken the boots off the stretcher early. I asked for a refund because the boots still didn't fit well and he simply said no refunds. I left the Texas Boot Company without my boots that I paid for and without a refund. I will not be purchasing boots from the Texas Boot Company again. read more

No. Just no. Went in to purchase a cowboy hat for my husband. Ready to spend $200 plus. Walked out with no hat. Three teenagers working. All we received was, "Hi...how are y'all?" when we walked in. And, "Have a good evening" when we walked out. We were THE ONLY CUSTOMERS in the place and we were in the hat section 15 minutes. No offer to help. No questions on what we were looking for. Nothing. Texas Boot Company, if you're gonna be in business, either hire adults or train your staff. Otherwise, you won't be in business much longer. read more

We bought boots for my daughter at The Texas Boot Company 5 years ago. The experience was wonderful. It was a bitter-sweet trip for us, as we were about to leave the state. We were in the store for over an hour, looking at boots, shirts, hats, laughing and talking to Mark. Old Gringos we bought are absolutely gorgeous and are getting plenty of use even in California. Also, there was something special in making an occasion out of buying them in an awesome family owned store vs going to a chain location. read more

My first time here was for the Chamber Business After Hours event. I was excited to go, do some networking, and look at some boots. The smell of leather hits you as soon as you walk in the door. Which immediately made me think, "this place is the real deal." The rows and rows of gorgeous boots were almost too much. I didn't know where to start! Luckily, Ally and another employee quickly came to my rescue and the other offering me a drink. Ally took me to the row that had boots in my size and helped me narrow down some options based on what I was looking for. Having a glass of wine in hand certainly helped me confirm that I did indeed need to find a pair of boots. I was able to find a pair a little over what I wanted to spend. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. They are comfortable that I've worn my boots no less than 3 10 hour workdays already. I'm ready for my next country concert now! I'd meet the owner Marc previously. Not only was he hilarious and welcoming, but he informed me that they offer beer and margaritas on a regular basis while you shop. What a good idea! I will have to bring my husband back whenever he's ready to get those "gators" he's been talking about for years. read more
