That in itself told me that one hand knows what the other is doing, and it's obviously really organized. Second, when we went in the thrift store side, it smelled clean. On that side, they were super nice too, and my eBay purchase pick up was super smooth. Purchases that you make their go toward providing food for people who need services from the food pantry. Even the eBay purchases go toward that. I feel better about a purchase if something good comes out of it for somebody else too. That's important to me and my family. There are some things the store does very well, and some areas that are clearly struggling. First, the space is much larger than the previous location. There is plenty of room for merchandise, and they seem to have many kind volunteers working there. The furniture and home goods section is organized fairly well. However, the shelves are extremely packed with merchandise, which may be related to the pricing. Many items feel overpriced for a community thrift store, which likely slows down how quickly things move off the shelves. The layout is also a bit confusing. It almost feels like two completely separate stores. Furniture and home goods are on one side, while clothing is in a different area. What makes it more unusual is that you cannot pay for clothing on the home goods side, or home goods on the clothing side. You also have to go outside to enter each section. It seems like this setup requires twice as many volunteers and makes the shopping experience less convenient. The pricing on the clothing side is actually very good, but the organization is quite poor. I found high-end men's shirts, such as Brooks Brothers, mixed in with women's clothing. There were several other similar examples of items being misplaced, which made browsing more difficult. I have visited multiple times before writing this review because I hoped that, after the expansion, the shopping experience would improve. Unfortunately, the store actually felt more organized in its old location than it does now.

The staff is super nice but this location needs to do something about the regulars. I've come 30-45…read moreminutes before the store opens multiple times this month and the regulars put a line of empty water bottles, chairs, and gloves to hold their family/friends spot in line. So while I should be first in line, I end up with 15-20 people in front of me because they claim they held their spot in line. It's ridiculous.

I also mentioned something about us looking around before our flight. Wanting to still explore the store, I complimented the store, and politely asked if they wouldn't mind telling me a bit about their store. All of a sudden, one person behind the desk stated that he was too old for this, and that he just didn't feel like talking, and said it's his day off. The other person with him didn't say anything, so I just walked away, and then decided to call and Uber and leave the area. Having spent much of my working career with critically ill people who are often having the worst days of their lives, I can admit to many moments where I am super tired and frustrated with things in my own life, and understand needing to take a step away, have a minute to regroup, take a breather etc. But how am I supposed to know it's your day off if you're behind the counter, and asked me what I was looking for? what about the other person who I'm assuming was working..couldn't they have chosen to just say a few words? If they felt I was looking for a long explanation, I think a reply saying something like I'll give you the short version would have sufficed. It did made me wonder what it was about me and friends that made it seem appropriate to reply in that manner. Is the attitude some type of gimmick I'm not aware of? Im not necessarily angry, Just felt disappointed. Made me wonder what I had to look like to get treated nicely. Maybe it's the fact half my outfit is from Costco, the other half from Marshall's. (I'm still quite proud of all that). And my friend was carrying her Vera Bradley luggage haha. Well who knows, and I do see the work put into that store and am assuming there's a lot of thought and talent put into it. The staff was friendly and there was a line awaiting the cashier for purchases. The prices are straight-away affordable and they don't price gouge like Goodwill.
