We had such a fun time as a family despite not being dressed for the cold...our fault, not theirs! I would highly recommend if you are looking for a Christmas outing for the family. The family picture here was a pretty cool story...a young man named James (driving the tractor) saw that I was taking a picture of my people that I would not be in...he offered to take the picture for us and braved the cold without gloves to do it for us. Again, just really cool helpful folks in a fun place.

We went on a hayride, however, it was not a hayride, but it was fun to be pulled up to the Christmas trees behind a tractor, all the children seem to really be enjoying it, and I enjoyed it too. They have an enormous amount of beautiful trees. It was very easy to find one that I liked. They were very well taken care of and there was enough for everybody. It was really cool cutting our own tree! The prices were too bad, I got a 6 1/2 foot tree for $95. I also got a stand for $21. I will never forget today. This farm is very clean. There is scripture on practically every wall, which was warm and wonderful. While riding on the hayride, we passed a section that had the three crucifixes Representing Jesus and the two criminals that were crucified together. They had a fantastic petting zoo where they also had a camel ; that was pretty neat. I've never seen a camel in a petting zoo before. They had lots of places to take pictures. Getting our trees at this farm is our new tradition. I highly recommend you visit.

Bloomers in Elgin delivered on both. The staff was super friendly, welcoming, and actually knowledgeable about their plants (which makes a huge difference when you're hunting for anything uncommon). They were willing to answer questions and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. Their rare plant selection is dope. There were so many unique plants to choose from, and even what they consider their "regular houseplant section" had plants you honestly won't find at most other shops in Central Texas. I found myself doing multiple laps because I kept spotting things I missed the first time. The greenhouse setup was beautiful and well organized, and you can tell they take pride in the health of their inventory. If you're new to plants, a seasoned collector, or somewhere in between, this place is absolutely worth the trip. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely be back.

It turned out beautiful, but we were asked to transfer to NY soon after that project competed. Lucky new owners! As we turned our focus from our home to our new, small NY apartment, we reached out to Robin for help once more. We sent her the apartment layout, pictures of a few art pieces we intended to take, and some ideas on furniture styles we like. She and her team did a wonderful job identifying pieces that not only fit the available spaces, took advantage of the surrounding views, and maintained a certain continuity and flow throughout the apartment but, more importantly, met our functional needs as well. The process of identifying pieces, confirming and adjusting them to our feedback, and eventually final selection, was handled seamlessly as we were at the same time working through the logistics of our move, including working with us remotely most of that time. She completed the design, did the ordering, and most importantly arranged delivery and set up in our new apartment ... from 1,700 miles away! Delivery and set up all occurred in one day so had a negligible impact on our work. It was all turn-key -- from laying down rugs, hanging pictures, uncrating and assembling furniture, all the way to cleaning up and hauling away the packaging materials. OH!, and did I mention the pillows? Turns out, you can never have enough pillows. Ask her, she'll tell you. We now have pillows on our couch and bed that, well, just make it feel like home.
