One of the better locations I have been to. Whenever I walk through one of these stores the ambiance, spaciousness of the aisles, cleanliness of the store, and how well organized everything is, is quite calming. This store is just that. At the same time the store is quite large and it could take you a while to find what you are looking for as i don't recall seeing the aisles labeled. Went in on a Wednesday evening and the store closes at 8 pm that day and most of the days. Cashiers were friendly and there were employees throughout the store although none really asked if I needed any help with anything. Store is in a busy plaza shared with other businesses but there was no problem finding any parking. I will definitely go back again. read more

One of the reasons why I'm a fan of this location is because it's close to where I live but also off the beaten path enough that the crowd/traffic isn't unbearable. It's not the largest Hobby Lobby but it has what you need. Despite shortages with everything these days, they still keep the shelves stocked. It's clean and well lit and the employees are friendly. As you'd imagine, the weekends are when this place is the most crowded. Even with multiple cashiers working the lines tend to get pretty long. Hobby Lobby Store #415 needs to be investigated! The restrooms are filthy. Toilet paper, blood, menstrual pads, feces, and urine is an everyday problem. A certified janitor, or better yet a certified cleaning company needs to be hired for this issue specifically . The bathrooms do not have a bathroom log keeping track on when the space was last cleaned . I was told "you walk lackadaisically." From a manager. I thought this comment was odd. Shopping carts scattered everywhere in the parking lot. The customers leave them in the middle of parking spaces/ in the grass, because they have nowhere to put them. This store needs to invest in an outdoor shopping cart carrol. When management went under a drastic change I felt replaceable, exploited and unwanted from that point forward. Quite a few coworkers resigned or got fired making my job difficult and stressful. I felt a burden. I was often times pressured to work at an unhealthy pace. Management does not know how to communicate to their employees properly. They need to be trained better. A few of them have condescending tones. One of the managers cannot speak fluent English making it difficult to understand her instructions. I've heard gossip about myself and others from outside the break room since the walls are super thin. Majority of the management / workers seem unhappy, exhausted, and overworked. I asked management for my W2's / copies of my paystubs MINUTES after being terminated for wearing an AirPod, management told me they were unable to help and told me to visit hobbylobby.com / call an 1-800 number for more information. I just entered the hobby lobby ready to spend upwards of 2000.00 on a product. No one greeted me when I entered. I walked around for at least 20 minutes. No one one asked if they could help. I walked by at least two agents and made eye contact. They said nothing. Actually, turned their heads in obvious disgust of my presence. All other patrons that I saw were greeted and assisted. Framing Review The past 4 days I've been on the hunt to find the right frame shop. Since HL & Michaels are usually named right off the bat, I figured I'd stop by. Parking - There's a huge lot. No need to worry at all. Why a 2: I have to say... the lady I had barely asked me any questions about how I wanted to frame my stuff, if I wanted anything mounted, what type of glass I preferred, if my stuff needs to be cut/separated/put in frame together, etc. The price tag was like 500 bucks for 3 newspapers & 2 diplomas. That's kind of pricey IMO. Some may say it's cheaper but I honestly had NO idea what to ask for (Glass Type, was a Mat needed, how to get everything settled within frame, etc) during my quote session. It's almost as if they were taught not to ask customers more elaborate details.... Another reason why I gave a 2....Through my adventure of finding the right framing shop -- I was asked all types of questions. HL did not ask me ANYTHING. Hell, even Michael's asked me 6-7 questions on how I wanted my framing done. Avoid for framing. read more

I agree with Lindy. this place has got to be the worst hobby lobby location in all of atlanta. I used to live in dunwoody area, and overall.. it's a very nice area; filled with nice people. BUT sadly, this place just doesn't seem to belong here (along with the walmart that's in the same shopping center). the staff here are so rude. they all look grumpy, sad to be there, and just seclusive. they all mind their own businesses and don't even bother noticing the customers around them. there is a small bell that you can ring for service, when you're either in the frames or fabric section of the store. I rang the bell like 2-3 times and even stood there for a good 5 minutes. I stood and waited for a good 5 mins. still, no one came. what was the point in having a sign that says "ring for assistance"?! after ringing and waiting, I just decided to wander around the store for a blue vested person (aka, the staff). no one in sight again (besides the cashiers)!! then I found the manager and asked if he could send someone over to the fabric department. he wasn't any diff. from the rest of his employees. he DID NOT look happy to help. he gave out a big sigh and grabbed his walky talky to page someone over to assist me. some girl came over, with no smile on her face. she was the worst one yet. she didn't say "hi" or anything. she just went straight to the point and mumbled "how much you want?" like really? ughh writing this review is just getting me heated up again. I shall stop here. you get the gist of it. I loathe this place. No one wants to help you, the staff is rude and if they answer your questions, they usually don't give you the right answer. The store is too big, and too much stuff. There are certain things I have to go here for and I try to get in and get out fast. Other locations are better than this one (nicer staff), but this one is close to me. This store is HUGE - I always, always manage to get lost in here. But I don't consider that a bad thing. They have so much great stuff, and I think most of the prices are fair. I definitely prefer the selection to Michael's. You can get any single thing you need for your crafts or big project, from itty bitty pins to huge baskets, and there's all kinds of decor and about a billion frames to choose from. It's pretty well organized, too. So, for all that, it's great. I gave them two stars, and I really wanted to give three or maybe even four, but... What's not so great? The customer service BLOWS. I was in here just yesterday and could plainly hear/see the customer service girl in fabrics sigh in a not-so-happy way when she got called up to the register or when a customer walked away after asking her a question. Here I was, all 'please' and 'thank yous' like I always am, and she approached me with THEE worst attitude. It was so bad that I stopped her midsentence to ask, "Are you okay?" And I didn't ask because I cared. I was ready to tell her to cut her crampy style with me. She was surprised I asked, and you could tell she wanted to say something, but instead she breathed a little harder and stomped a little less. I mean, really? And it's always like that. From the cashiers to the framing deparment, the service is just very, very lackluster. Crack. That's all I was going to write, but I figured first review should be slightly more informative than that. Especially since so many crafters have no idea this location exists! Citizens of Atlanta who enjoy creating: You no longer have only Michaels within your grasp. There is a Hobby Lobby just slightly OTP - and it's full of plenty of goodies to blow your last paycheck on. That is, if you can arrive before 8pm and don't forget that it abides by the Chick-Fil-A religion that Sundays don't exist on a work schedule. There's also Christian hymns blaring over the sound system, but considering the closed on Sunday part, it's something I'm willing to overlook for great deals on all my crafting needs. It's a need, not a want, okay?! I will say that the sewing department is a little small here - if you're looking for fabrics, you're better off with Hancock or Jo-Anns. What they do have here is good prints and patterns, but you'll be hard-pressed if you want a lot of variety. Painting, florals, seasonal, paper crafting, and wedding stuff, though? Aisles and aisles of the stuff. Check online before you go as there are often tons of sales going on. Getting 40-50% off what you "need" always makes you spend more money. Impeccably organized, friendly yet not intrusive employees, amazing sales, and just about everything crafty your heart could desire can all be found at this Hobby Lobby. It's like Michael's on steroids, if Michael's was a pleasant shopping experience to begin with. Also, I happen to like the Christian music softly emanating from the store sound system. It makes the shopping experience even more relaxingly surreal. I found myself here specifically for the fabric. It's harder and harder to find fabric sold by the yard these days, with most dedicated fabric stores selling mostly fuddy duddy prints for babies or random holidays. That is not the case at this store. Though the fabric selection is small, it is well curated with modern prints and classic colors. I did not see any psychedelic leprechaun gingham (I'm looking at you Hancock), but I did walk out with seven yards of a gorgeous light green and steel blue paisley that will work perfectly to make a nine foot long shower curtain for my new bathroom. Though I thought the $8.99/yard price tag was a little steep for duck cloth, the clerk gave me the 30% off promotion they were running for calico. That was a nice touch. Though my purchase was just limited to fabric, I was also particularly impressed by their furniture and wall art selections. The furniture was Cost Plus level quality for about 20% less, but was limited to a few kitchen tables and lots of dresser and storage options. The wall art was much more extensive, with great prices on a huge selection of frames and prints, and also TONS of those decorative wrought iron wall pieces. If you make stuff, this is the place. Also, if you like tchotchkes, but I'm not getting into that. They have all the things. ALL of them. You can get just about any kind of clamp, glue, spray, paint, knife, pencil, brush, compound, kit or product that does whatever the hell you need for your crazy project. I have a large number of crazy projects I am involved in, and thus I spend alot of time and money at Hobby Lobby. Some things to note: A) there is ALWAYS a current, valid coupon you can pull up on your phone to get %40 off of any one item. B) you have a %50 chance frames are half price on any given day C) they don't have scanners, the dude at the register has to hand key in EVERY. ITEM. Which is almost as annoying for you as it is for them. Only downside is the put-out sigh the cashiers emit most of the time when they ring you up. (Which is due to A + B + C) read more

Hobby Lobby, oh how I hate to love you. While I usually prefer to buy my craft goods at smaller stores (I'm not the biggest fan of big box chains), Hobby Lobby maintains a nice level of kitsch that keeps me coming back for art supplies and more. The reason I decided to write a review for this location would be the staff. Today, I went in looking for something very specific--small and even tiny cookie cutters to use for dog treats. Not many places carry a nice variety of cookie cutters, and at first I thought Hobby Lobby could be crossed off my list as well, but a staff member helpfully guided me to the selection (which was hidden under large cookie cutters in a bucket). Having a helpful staff member in a store where one can easily spend hours looking for exactly what you want (especially if you're not sure what that is if you're getting into a new hobby) is essential. This Hobby Lobby has contributed to many of my favorite and successful craft projects including Pinterest wins. It has also supplied me with many resources for holidays and special occasions. For my son's first birthday and my friend's baby shower, I got many of the supplies for my DIY projects and decor from this Hobby Lobby. The store is always clean and well organized with everything in its place. The Holiday stuff is always in the front. They always have great holiday decor for the person who loves to decorate for every holiday. I have gotten many of my favorite Christmas ornaments and stockings from here. Their selection of Christmas wrapping paper, bags, ribbons and picks are great. The scrapbooking supplies and embellishments are extensive. You can find something for every theme. The best part is their sales and prices. They have weekly sales on certain categories and if it isn't on sale one week it is definitely on sale the next week. You can always use their 40% coupon which I pull up on my phone for a non-sale item. I noticed that many yelpers complain about the staff and customer service here. These reviews were posted a while ago and I think their customer service has improved. At my most recent trip, I rang the bell at the Fabric section and was immediately greeted and asked how I was doing. She finished cutting my fabric and asked how else could she help. The cashier that rang me up accidentally pressed an extra number on one of my items which made it way overpriced and when I came back in he was very apologetic and the new returns and exchange cashier was helpful and nice about fixing the mistake and getting my refund amount back on my card. I did notice that when the team members are busy restocking or pricing items they are not prone be extra helpful. They don't go out of their way to ask if they can help you look for something while you are standing next to them. I overhead one person ask a team member where something was and the team member gave her instructions to find it instead of walking her to the section herself. So they don't go above and beyond to provide exceptional service, but they are friendly and do provide good service. read more

We didn't find one we liked; however, as we approached the exit Rod found us and he was holding the EXACT two vases we wanted! Although we had given up our search Rod didn't! I asked the sales person for help and they pointed me to the silk flowers. She assured me that they were very popular at the time. Well when I brought it back to my trespian troop I was the laughing stocks of the bunch. Turns out there was no such thing at the time! this place have everything you can think of. i actually enjoyed the store if it wasnt for the lack of charm their employees have. i encountered Patricia in the fabric/cloth section and she bossed the customers around, including me. blech. If i wanted to be bossed around, i can go to my mother. in Hobby Lobby, I expect to be treated well - just like a paying customer that I am. - the story: i was looking for a cheap fabric, however, this truly is my first time having to buy fabric and was a bit clueless how to go about it. as i found the fabric that fit my needs (thanks to an actual helpful employee) i laid out my fabric on the table to try to measure if the left over clearance fabric will be enough. i also had to re-calculate in terms of 'yards' instead of the 'foot' measurement i brought. as i stood there trying to figure things out, patricia came from behind me and told me to 'move.' i stood there for a second dumbfounded, wondering who the hell is this? she then gives me this look old ladies give children that are riding their bikes on her yard. i had to remind myself for a minute that A. I am not a child to be treated such a way, B. I am in a place of business where I am a paying customer, and C. a simple excuse me ma'am, but I need this space for a minute, afterwards, I can help you.' would have been welcomed. Anyways, as the customers begin to pile up around the table where they measure and cut the fabric, Patricia continued her smile-less and annoyed demeanor and even loudly complained to the customers around her at how 'crazy' things are and that its busy etc etc. it is obvious she is annoyed that this place has too many customers and is making too much money. anyways, when she finally got to me, i had to 'kill her with kindness' and she proceeds to tell me that there may not be enough fabric after all. she just stood there and did not even offer to look at another fabric or possibly offer any other help. she stood there waiting and silently wishing i would just move the hell on. i decided to take all of that fabric anyway. however, the rest of my trip was ok. i walked for a while looking for strings and not once was i offered help. the people that work here avoided my eye contact. sigh* finally, they have big signs all over the place that says christmas decor is 50% off. I happily took christmas lights thinking they are discounted only to be told by the genuinely friendly cashier that it is not part of the discounted christmas decor. i kindly returned the lights and went to wal mart and bought the lights from there. but you know, there is another craft store within a mile from here. next time i need something else that calls for crafts, i am sure to check the other place out. too bad, this store is big with a big variety. read more

I've been here a couple of times, and I'm just not impressed. I come here for one thing -- art supplies. I find their supply variety is low. Most of the paint they carry is garbage -- too poor quality to even be used in an academic setting. The store is also really hot and humid in various areas, which makes for a somewhat miserable shopping experience. read more

This is the closest HL to me (BOOO!!!!) It's always very well organized and I can find what I need even if I haven't been in a while. The prices are better than Michaels and they definitely have more to choose from. I love that all of the seasonal items are always at the front. Any time I've been here I've always had a pleasant experience. They should think about a Buckhead location. This location is in a crappy WalMart shopping center. read more

I was in the store today (Monday)to return an item purchased last Friday on my debit card. I was not given the option to get cash back. As I finished my shopping, there was only 2 cashiers, the lines were long and both cashiers were on the phone. I was not the only customer upset. The lady behind me was ago quite perturbed.
