The past 2 weeks I've been hunting for a Frame shop to use to frame my newspapers. I rarely frame anything because I've always thought it was a waste of money... till this year. Why? My alma mater has been doing well in Football. Gotta frame those amazing moments. #History! Note: if you by chance go to THPF's old building, don't panic. Take a left out of parking lot -- maybe pass 2 street lights (the last street light is called something Creek) and slow down. You'll see their building on the left. Be sure to pass Book Nook on your right when you go down the hill driving wise. Parking - A small lot but every time I've come by, no car is there. I don't think they get super crowded because most folks who walk in probably know what they want. I also came at an off time. I shopped at 5! different framing shops. I chose THPF because: 1. I'm a fan of independent shops that don't charge an arm and leg for framing and etc 2. I had Mimi & Rachel &.. an older man help me at different times and they are funny as hell, hahaha. (I walked in 2 different times before committing) 3. They will ask you ALL types of questions regarding your frames... you won't feel jilted when you leave. I'd just do basic research or at least visit another frame shop to gather some knowledge so you KNOW what you want. 4. They have an ADORABLE black puppy downstairs who is extremely obedient with commands/knows not to bark at customers. 5. Finished my frames at a good timeline. You'll hang the frames by a wire. 6. They know you who are after 1 "consulting/what should I do" talk w/ them. 7. They give you complimentary nail hangers. Awesome! So yeah- try these people out. :D You'll get bonus points (as in they will love you instantly) if you bring in baked goods, lol. read more

Last December I decided to (finally) get some artwork framed so I checked out Toco Hills. They have a huge collection of frames, matting, and fillets so it took me a while to decide on everything but they were patient and let me mull over my options while also providing some suggestions and recommendations. After deciding I went ahead and paid in full. They do allow you to pay a deposit instead. At the time of my order I was told one of the frames I selected was out of stock. It was coming from a manufacturer in Italy and they didn't have an ETA for when it would be back in stock but they guessed it could be 1-2 months. I had painstakingly lol gone through their collection so I decided to wait because I wasn't in a rush to get them. March came though and I hadn't heard anything so I called for an update. It would have been nice if they had reached out to me when they realized it was past the two month mark. I understand it feels uneventful to provide a "there's no update" update but I like being kept in the loop regardless of what the status is. After that call, they were more proactive in reaching out to me to let me know they were still waiting for it to arrive which I appreciated. When the frame finally arrived, I was really pleased with how both of my pieces came out. Their prices are expensive but it's a local, specialty shop and you only get things framed once so you may as well invest in something you'll like. Overall, I'd recommend checking them out. read more

I had two pieces of fine art framed here recently and I could not be more pleased with the expert design help I received, the reasonable wait for the finished product (10 days when 14 was quoted), the overall value for the price, and the beautiful, high quality result. Best compliment I can give is that the artist himself was pleased when he saw the choices I had made for his work with the terrific help of the shop. I've found my new locally owned framing shop and now so have you! I will happily make the 30-minute drive past other options because this experience was far superior. read more

One of the most accommodating businesses I have ever had the pleasure to work with and have done so for more than 25 years. I have had them cut mats I was trying to re-use, mat using a frame I was trying to re-use, etc. They are always willing to find the most cost effective, yet aesthetically pleasing solution. Their staff always welcome you and stand behind their work. read more

These people are wonderful. Not only are they highly skilled with a great eye for design and color; they are also extremely kind and helpful. I took in deeply precious family heirlooms and artwork, and they were treated with loving respect. Thank you!!! read more

I needed a wire strung across the back of an old picture frame so that I could hang it on the wall. The proprietor took the frame and went into the basement, and in five minutes he returned with a wire running across the back of the frame and connected on both sides by metal screws. It was a very nice job. Then he and I stood there awkwardly because I was waiting for him to give me an invoice, but he just stood there. So I said, "How much do I owe you?" and he said, "Nothing". Can you believe that? Such a great guy. And the work was equally great. I can't promise he'll charge you nothing, but he's definitely not out to screw you. I was completely caught off guard by his generosity. read more

Great staff and choices. Made my framing needs a pleasure to do. The work was quoted and delivered exactly as planned I will definitely use them again. In my opinion they're the best framing shop in Decatur! read more

The woman who helped me choose the frame was very nice, and didn't stop until we had found the perfect selection. The results are fantastic and speak for themselves read more

Rachel2 (there are two Rachels working here) helped me find the best frame ever for my new art! I told myself to go into the shop without any ideas or preconceived notions about what I was looking for and I wasn't wrong. Rachel2 pulled a bunch of frames and many of them looked pretty good with the art, but then she absolutely nailed it by finding a frame that had a spacey feeling which absolutely matched the art. She pulled frames that I would have passed over and they looked great. I'm glad I let her do the "driving" and just sat back and enjoyed from the passenger's seat! I'm not sure when my next framing need will be but I can tell you that there is no question where I will be going. Everyone I've dealt with there is really nice and it felt great to give a small business my money especially in this crazy time. read more

Don't go anywhere else! The selection of frames is amazing, the staff is creative and helpful, and the quality of the work is exceptional.

Toco Framing is the best framing store we have ever used. Geoff is super patient and a genuine craftsman. Most recently, we were framing an 83 year old college diploma that had tremendous sentimental value and was very fragile (it was in an attic for 45 years). Geoff and his team did a superb job in handling the document and in framing it. They understood how to best handle old fragile documents and preserve them. They were also very good in helping us pick the frame and mat. You can't go wrong. Price was great. read more

Great service from staff and proffesional high quality work.

Posting photos of the latest project they've done for me - limited edition print I received as perk of membership to TCM Backlot - Mimi and Rachel help me come up with the gold and light blue matte color accents - I shouldn't be surprised at how thrilled I am with the finished product!!! read more

I love their patience, selection and craftsmanship. They are knowledgeable, timely and just plain nice people! I never feel like I was being "upsold" like at some other chain frames I used to go. I have had them frame diplomas, original art, with and without mat, with and glass. They know what they are doing! I love having a great independent retailer in my neighborhood. read more

I'm blown away, the gift that my husband had created for my Graduation is simply amazing !!!!! What a Beautiful frame. The way Geoff laid out the pictures and commencement program and the red trim really makes this a precious gift that I will treasure forever. Thanks to my husband and Geoff, my memories are captured and I'm truly GRATEFUL. I would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking to frame those special moments. read more

Toco Hills Framing helped us frame a mirror for our bathroom that needed to be hung with barn door hardware. Geoff was incredibly helpful in the whole project, recommending the right type of frame to withstand moisture and that would also accommodate the specific hardware. He did a beautiful job with the finished product. I can't recommend them highly enough - my family has been using them for 30+ years. read more

We were looking for a reasonably priced framing store for a couple pieces we're putting up in our baby daughter's room. Toco Hill Picture Framing was just down the road from our apartment complex so we stopped by. Mimi was very kind and helped us find the best frames for our pieces, even cutting us a great deal using some left over frames they had in house. Still, they have a super selection. In a week the items were ready and looked fantastic! Excellent business and kind people, willing to make sure we got just what we needed, style and price. read more

Very personable folks work at Toco Hill Picture Framing! I was totally impressed by their great service and totally reasonable prices. Over the years, I've tried the 50% coupon at Michaels (where you get what you pay for) and I've tried the DIY frame store (oops-I'm not super talented at framing). Try Toco Hills Framing for that print or picture you care about (or your law school degree that's been sitting in its envelope for almost 4 years!) You won't be disappointed--and you'll have something nice to look at besides horrible economic news! read more

We had a very unique framing project and they came through with flying colors. We were impressed with their zeal and friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor. We highly recommend and will definitely return with future projects. A+ read more

This frame shop is simply outstanding. They have done work for us ranging from simple diplomas and class photos to more complicated multiple photo groups, vintage 80 year old family photos, and art prints. They've always done a great job; their work seems to be of museum quality, they're enthusiastic, have a great eye and a great esthetic. Their prices are very reasonable, often half the price of similar work in Buckhead and midtown. read more

Geoff and Mimi are the best! Very artful frame materials selection, matte sizing and coordination for our rare Gabriel Loire. They've been at it a long, long time, and it shows. Unbelievably huge selection of frame moldings from conventional to modern to vintage, but you won't be overwhelmed, they'll recommend and help you choose. Give your art a great start with a frame worthy of the name. This is not just another frame shop; this is THE frame shop, the finest in town. Just go there! read more

They helped me get my daughter's college degree framed SO beautifully. It has been over a year since she graduated and I was considering getting it framed in the standard frame that the university book store sells... oh my gosh I'm so happy I came to Toco Hill Framing. The frame, matting and craftsmanship are so superior to what I would have gotten from the bookstore. They have an overwhelming choice of frames and mats and were exactly the right degree of helpful in making suggestions. I just love the results! I'm saving the framed degree to surprise my daughter as a gift and I can't wait to give it to her. read more

Recently I received a painting from my grandmother that my grandfather owned before he passed. I knew that I needed to take it somewhere to get framed other than your usual run-of-the mill frame shop, so I spotted this place which is right down the street from me! Man am I glad I did! All of the artists that work here were extremely friendly and made you feel very welcome. I really enjoyed discussing with them about which frame to choose and seeing their artistic abilities as they went through numerous colors that would be the best match for the painting. I knew the final picture would look great, but they really blew my mind!! If you need a picture framed look no place else! read more

I had a great experience even though some of the reviews were less than favorable. The boss waa so generois that after my initial purchase he gave me a smaller vwrsion of my original frame purchase for free! read more

Amazing customer service, beautiful work! I've never visited a framer before but I called around and their prices were very competitive. I had a very large canvas that needed to be stretched and they were able to handle it, no problem. And much faster than I expected. Excellent service from the first phone call to receiving the completed work. I have several more pieces that need framing and I will definitely be a repeat customer!! read more

We were delighted with Toco Hill Picture Framing. After trying the 55% (plus 10%) discount at Michael's and being shocked at the price (Michael's did a good job) we decided to try a local business, and it was a very happy surprise. We love Sally, and we'll be back the next time we need something framed. Better prices, more personal service, and she even gave us a faster turnaround time. read more

I collect limited run prints that I have purchased at shows as part of a bands merchandise or from printers like Methane Studios and I have had several items framed at this little shop over the last year or two. They do amazingly clean and consistent work at this little shop, have been very professional and courteous, and very helpful in finding the right looking frame for the prints I've collected. I made the mistake of using another framer last year because it was closer to my home, and recommended by a friend, and after picking up my print, was I not satisfied with the final product, enough to never go back. Even though Toco Hills Framer's pricing is very fair, price was of no consequence to me, as I believe value is a perception strictly for the purchaser, I have always pleased with the final cost of any of the items I have had framed. Toco Hills Framers will get my work every time going forward. read more

Whether it's mounting and framing new work, or taking in a damaged frame for repair (as I recently had to do with an ornate but inferior frame surrounding a 3'x5' mirror), the team at Toco Hills Framing is fantastic.
