I've been a customer of Artifacts for well over twenty years. It was sold by the original business owner several years ago, but I've been very happy with the fact that quality and customer service has not suffered at all. Mark and Tamika continue to treat me so well each time I come in for framing of a new piece. While this is definitely not a discount frame shop, you certainly do get what you pay for. They do the job well, have a beautiful selection of frames, and they deliver on time, every time. They greet you with a smile and cater to every budget. Can't recommend them more highly! Not one to write reviews but really put off by my experience today. I have a piece of art and frame that I wanted to be secured and matted. I called in a few day prior to schedule an appointment and asked if they were able to do this which they replied they would be. When I got there the person helping me told me that they would not perform the service unless I bought glass. Which of course would be over $200+. I really wanted to support a local shop and shocked that a small business would turn away a sale. Good luck with that business model. read more

We found two lithographs at a local antique store that we wanted to have reframed so we took them to Artifacts. They were amazing about helping us pick frames and mats- and advising us on having a conservationist restore the works before they were framed. We just picked them up and they look AMAZING. The conservationist did fantastic work and they look like new and the frames and the mat compliment the work beautifully. The small personal touch I loved was that the frames the work came in had the tags from the original frame shop in New York on them. The staff at Artifacts took the tags off and placed them on the back of the new frames. Everything went perfectly throughout the whole process and we are so pleased with their work! read more

I popped in recently to get some wire put on the back of an art piece that I needed to hang. (I'd do it myself, but that would be bad.) I called first to make sure they actually would do the service. The lady on the phone was a bit nasty. I would have gone elsewhere, but I really needed it done. Thankfully the person who put the wire on the frame for me was super nice and did a pretty great job. I'd give this place 5 stars, but I took away one star because of the woman on the phone. Her attitude almost sent me elsewhere. read more

I adore Artifacts. I blame them for my addiction to framing! They're my neighborhood frame shop, and the first thing I took to them was an antique gold frame and 19th century print to be restored. Their service and their work was beautiful, and they made me feel comfortable handing over a family heirloom. I recently took a letterpress poster and old music book in to be framed as well and they captured my vision, worked with me on the price, and hit the two week-deadline they gave me from the outset. I lived in Atlanta 15 years ago and had everything framed at Artifacts. I have never encountered a better framer. They are the most professional, easy going and their work is superb. I just took apart something they framed for me and the detailing is fantastic. Piece looks like it was framed yesterday not 20 years ago. So happy to see they are still around. Such a personal touch, a far cry from some very factory like places I have been to in the past . This was my first experience with Artifacts. They were recommended by Hammonds House Museum. I took a piece that was oil on canvas. The young lady, Tameka, who assisted me was warm, friendly and very conscious of what my vision was. I really like framers to share their ideas because they see finished pieces all day. Tameka pulled many frames and never rushed my decision. I loved one frame so much that I knew we had found the one. Even though, I usually keep going to make sure I exhaust all possibilities. It was completed as promised and I couldn't be more happy with it. I would definitely use Artifacts in the future and for more challenging projects. read more

The staff here is so lovely! They totally worked within my budget to frame some less expensive artwork I had. They suggested buying a stock frame from a major retailer and they would fit a mat to make it look professional. They took the time to pick out a perfect color and even did it on the spot. They also cut a new piece of glass for a frame that I broke. Two thumbs up! read more

Really nice selection and friendly help. No pressure.

I have had several pieces of art framed by the Artifacts, of all shapes, sizes and mediums. They give great suggestions for frames, mounts, mats etc. and do not push for you go with the most expensive frame. In fact, most of the time they look for cheaper frames with the same effect or come up with options that will keep the cost down. Not only are they exceptional framers, they provide excellent customer service. I have had them frame the most random of things; a copper wired quote from Ghana and masks I bought in Venice. They didn't bat an eyelid and we collectively came up with a solution to mount these items that turned out stunningly! Their turn-around time is great and they usually call me way before the estimated completion date to say something is ready for collection. I really can't fault them. I've been to Michaels Arts & Crafts and the service and cost just doesn't compare. This is a great neighborhood framers and well worth checking out. read more

Truly cannot say enough about Steve and his wonderful staff at Artifacts. I've had around six items framed here. They are patient and thoughtful during the design process, never making me feel rushed or pushed (and their taste is impeccable). I say "ditto" to the previous reviewer, but they're the best not only in town, but in the entire Atlanta metro area. I've lived in LA, Chicago and Washington, D.C. and never found anyone to compare. I would give them 100 stars if I could. Everything and everyone there are unbelievably topnotch and the selection of frames is phenomenal!! Just picked up a frame job from Artifacts, and I'm very happy. The work was nearly perfect, and coming from me, that's saying a lot. I used to work in conservation framing and have standards that are very high. I will reserve a 5 star rating until I have more experience, but safe to say, don't go anywhere else. Highly recommended.
