I needed some business cards for a friend last minute and Office Depot came through for me. As the…read morecard itself was already done, the Office Depot website was super easy to use and presented the step by step process from upload to final review. Being that I did the entire order online, I was in control of everything before it went to print which increased my confidence in the order. Once my order was placed, I set it for pick up at the Office Depot - Fayetteville location. I received the email when my order was ready and made my way to Office Depot - Fayetteville. The location was easy to find as it is directly on the main road. There is ample parking and easy access on and off the roadway. Walking in, the Office Depot - Fayetteville location is huge. The light was bright and vibrant and the store was super clean. I made my way to the print area, provided my name, and boom. My order was waiting on me. Yesssssssss. Talk about easy and convenient. I am filing a complaint regarding a very disappointing and unprofessional experience at an Office…read moreDepot location in Fayetteville,GA. On the same day of purchase, I bought an HP printer cartridge (HP 934) and realized shortly after opening the outer packaging that I had selected the wrong model. I had my receipt and returned to the store within hours to request an exchange or refund. Despite the product being unused and in resellable condition, I was met by a store representative who was not only unhelpful but also dismissive and rude. I was told that because the box had been opened, they would not accept the return--without any attempt to offer an alternative solution, such as an exchange or store credit. What made the situation worse was the tone and behavior of the staff. Instead of trying to assist or de-escalate, I felt rushed out of the store and treated as if I had done something wrong. There was no effort to provide customer service or uphold basic professionalism. This experience raises serious concerns about Office Depot's customer service practices and return policies. A same-day return with a valid receipt for an unused item should not result in this kind of treatment. Policies should be applied with reasonable discretion, especially when the product is clearly unused and the mistake was immediately addressed. I am requesting that this situation be reviewed and that Office Depot take steps to ensure: a. Staff are trained to handle customer concerns professionally and respectfully b. Reasonable accommodations are made for legitimate same-day return situations c. Clear and fair return policies are consistently communicated and applied As it stands, this experience reflects poorly on the company's commitment to customer satisfaction and basic business ethics. Please refrain from using them as they're stacking up the wins with unethical practices.

Instead of receiving assistance, I was met with extreme condescension. The employee at the counter openly complained about customers using their drop-off services, treated my basic inquiries with visible annoyance, and gave no viable explanation as to why a package had been sitting in their store for over eight days without a mail carrier pickup. Furthermore, she allowed a random bystander to make snarky remarks toward me, and the moment I walked away--having remained entirely polite and calm--the employee immediately began gossiping and making smart remarks about me with that individual. "Nasty-nice" customer service and whispering behind a customer's back is entirely unprofessional. If this location cannot handle third-party shipping operations or train its staff to speak to paying customers with basic respect, they should discontinue the service altogether. I will be escalating this interaction to store management and corporate. Avoid this location if you expect professionalism.
