When they ran diagnostics they found a problem with my battery and a few other serious things. I do have AppleCare and they sent it off to be repaired. I now have an almost completely new MacBook. I was also having a problem with Microsoft Office for Mac as Word or Excel wouldn't save anymore - it was locked. I had purchased it from Computer advantage when I bought my Mac so they were able to reinstall office using my purchased Microsoft key. All in all, I am so very happy the way it all turned out. Larry was very helpful, patiently guiding me through the process as it developed, and Michael provided awesome expertise on setting everything back up and gettin me operational again. I don't even live in the area (900 miles away), but I visit often and I am so thankful I found Computer Advantage when I did. It has turned out to be a godsend. While booking…read moremy support ticket with Apple, Computer Advantage showed up as a Premier Partner so I decided to book that as the Apple system advised they would be handle most issues. Computer Advantage was easy to find as it's right on the main road. Walking in, the store is very nice and super clean. The tech came out and greeted me and my check-in was quick and simple. Even with the easy access and great service, my review ends there as Computer Advantage was unable to assist me with my tech issue due to the inability to obtain the Serial Number off of my watch. Though I was able to provide it to them, the "system" wouldn't allow access as it wasn't able to connect to the watch. I'm frustrated by this as my Apple ticket was because my watch wouldn't turn on and they still suggested Computer Advantage. To my dismay, my 27 minute, 17 mile journey was to no avail. However, the service provided by Computer Advantage was professional and appreciated... Now I'm back to booking an appointment at an ACTUAL Apple Store!!! Moral of the story for me is, only book at Apple Stores to save time and mitigate the risk of being redirected to a store. To note, Computer Advantage has a great product selection if you are looking to buy Apple products.

We were going to just get the data off the old ( because one drive blew it in having a back up of our files, so that would be another $60 ) and buy a new system..integrated, desktop, or laptop. I used chatgpt to compare & contrast dell vs HP etc for under $1000. It gave me some specs to work with. I did not know Computertech rebuilt regular computers, only high-end gaming systems, as a Value Added Reseller... VAR So when I went back to take them the drive for migrating data, I heard Adrian talking to another customer about computers they were getting in. 20 min later I was so excited to learn I could get a computer that mapped my specs and would be $500 and instead of $60 to get the data and I install it all, time is money, they could do an entire migration and set up a real back up to my external drive for $120. So instead of $800 for a system, wait 2 weeks for delivery, spend hours frustratingly moving data over and setting up, in 1 week I had replaced my system...better than before, and out of pocket all in $650. Justin was the tech that professionally migrated and set the system up. We aren't gaming and doing big stuff so an HP Elite Desk 16MB memory, 8th Gen I5, and 500 GB SSD, MS 11 and Wi-Fi etc. Highly recommend

Because of the make, model and structure of the tablet they suggested that I talk to a samsung provider to receive a safer solution and to make the best decision on whether to repair or replace the device. When I asked for clarification, the business stated they had diagnostic photos, hardware inventory screenshots, and a detailed report proving the SSD was already in the machine at the time of service. I requested copies multiple times. They did not provide a single photo, screenshot, or document. The customer portal they referenced contained only an invoice and the laptop's serial number. When I asked again for the documentation they claimed existed, the shop refused to send it and insisted they would no longer communicate in writing. They stated that any further discussion must take place only in person, which prevents any verifiable record. At no point did they provide the evidence needed to confirm their claims. My review is based entirely on written communication and the business's refusal to provide the diagnostic documentation they repeatedly referenced.
