The following day, I had to return it because it was defective and unfixable. So, the owner gave me another laptop to replace that one. It is now 6 months later after getting it, I had to return that. He says that it needed more memory because he's the expert I followed his advise and paid additional money. Then upon calling him to get an update, he states that it might be a hard drive issue. I didn't get the laptop back same day as promised. Then he explains that it's a driver issue the updates from HP are not compatible with the laptop. He was unable to tell me year and model of the laptop. However, he says he has a fix for it. I pick up the laptop and the graphics are horrible and look very outdated. This has been most inconvenient as I work from home. I have essentially lost 2+ work days and have an outdated computer. Unacceptable!

When they ran diagnostics they found a problem with my battery and a few other serious things. I do have AppleCare and they sent it off to be repaired. I now have an almost completely new MacBook. I was also having a problem with Microsoft Office for Mac as Word or Excel wouldn't save anymore - it was locked. I had purchased it from Computer advantage when I bought my Mac so they were able to reinstall office using my purchased Microsoft key. All in all, I am so very happy the way it all turned out. Larry was very helpful, patiently guiding me through the process as it developed, and Michael provided awesome expertise on setting everything back up and gettin me operational again. I don't even live in the area (900 miles away), but I visit often and I am so thankful I found Computer Advantage when I did. It has turned out to be a godsend. My Apple Watch was all the way broke which led me to Computer Advantage for service. While booking…read moremy support ticket with Apple, Computer Advantage showed up as a Premier Partner so I decided to book that as the Apple system advised they would be handle most issues. Computer Advantage was easy to find as it's right on the main road. Walking in, the store is very nice and super clean. The tech came out and greeted me and my check-in was quick and simple. Even with the easy access and great service, my review ends there as Computer Advantage was unable to assist me with my tech issue due to the inability to obtain the Serial Number off of my watch. Though I was able to provide it to them, the "system" wouldn't allow access as it wasn't able to connect to the watch. I'm frustrated by this as my Apple ticket was because my watch wouldn't turn on and they still suggested Computer Advantage. To my dismay, my 27 minute, 17 mile journey was to no avail. However, the service provided by Computer Advantage was professional and appreciated... Now I'm back to booking an appointment at an ACTUAL Apple Store!!! Moral of the story for me is, only book at Apple Stores to save time and mitigate the risk of being redirected to a store. To note, Computer Advantage has a great product selection if you are looking to buy Apple products.

The approval for the repairs was given. Within less than 72 hours I was notified that the computer was repaired and ready for pickup. Before leaving ComputerTech I was shown that a basically dead computer was now super fast. When I asked for clarification, the business stated they had diagnostic photos, hardware inventory screenshots, and a detailed report proving the SSD was already in the machine at the time of service. I requested copies multiple times. They did not provide a single photo, screenshot, or document. The customer portal they referenced contained only an invoice and the laptop's serial number. When I asked again for the documentation they claimed existed, the shop refused to send it and insisted they would no longer communicate in writing. They stated that any further discussion must take place only in person, which prevents any verifiable record. At no point did they provide the evidence needed to confirm their claims. My review is based entirely on written communication and the business's refusal to provide the diagnostic documentation they repeatedly referenced.
