Our team appreciated the initial efforts made by Panel Systems, particularly the extension of a credit that originated from a previous order. That partial credit existed because Panel Systems retained a large percentage of our deposit from that earlier project. From the beginning of this new engagement, we were transparent in communicating that we would be comparing quotes with competing vendors, and we believed this understanding was shared by everyone involved.
Unfortunately, the final outcome of our engagement has been deeply disappointing. At no point during our collaboration were we informed that the credit offered was conditional or tied to a minimum purchase amount on our future project. Throughout the process, this partial credit was consistently included as part of the proposal materials, and we moved forward under the reasonable assumption that it would remain available as long as the project discussions continued. However, once it became clear that Panel Systems would not be receiving the main furniture order, the partial credit was promptly withdrawn. Its sudden removal, without any advance notice, represents a clear departure from the terms that had been communicated to us.
Additionally, we found it challenging to justify moving forward with Panel Systems due to significant pricing discrepancies. Many of the items we evaluated--furniture as well as accessories--were priced as high as twice the cost of comparable products from other vendors. This ultimately positioned Panel Systems outside our project budget, a factor we communicated openly. It is unfortunate that we now feel penalized for making a responsible financial decision.
Based on this experience, we cannot recommend Panel Systems for organizations that value clear communication, consistency, and competitive pricing. read more
