Meet the Business Owner: John R.
John Rhodes started his imaging career early in life by looking through a 35 mm camera. John became the yearbook photographer and was known as "The Minolta Man".
In 1974, John began his 1st job at a photo lab. He attended UGA, completing his BA in Marketing. John photographed weddings & worked at the same photo lab throughout college.
John knew he wanted to own his own photo lab one day. He secured a job with Meisel, one of the largest photo labs in the country and worked with them for 4 years, absorbing everything he could about the industry, technology, and large-scale operations. Armed with the experience he had gained with Meisel, he began his own business.
John and his wife Betty founded Colorchrome together in 1983, 6 months after they married. What began as a small photo lab has developed into a large cutting-edge digital printing company. Colorchrome now services clients throughout the world, using the most innovative technologies to produce the highest quality images possible
