The guy basically went on about it being a complicated procedure, and needing to strip the wire and replace the grips. Yeah. We left. So UNHELPFUL. Located on King's Street, a pretty convenient location for me since I live in town, they have a few…read moreparkings at the back. I went there to chance a cassettes and redo my bar tape. After a few back and forward discussion, the work order was set, they quoted me a price and they will call me when my bike is done. 3 hours later, when I went to pick up my bike, the technician told me with this new cassette, while I'm riding, I cannot change to certain gear, and if I do so, my derailleur will break on the road. I was like - why no one told me about that before I do the modification? He said he did not know it will not work either, 95% of the time, this set up with work, just that it will not work on my bike. So, end up, he has to put back my old cassette. At lease he was honor about it and do not just let me walk off with my new setting and risk breaking my derailleur on the road. At the end, he did not change me for that cassette work. I appreciate his honesty and workmanship. To be honest, the shop looks a bit old inside but they seems to have a lots of bike parts and accessory inside the store.

Zero callbacks or updates on my repairs and parts that I'm waiting on. Not these guys! OMG! I brought my bike in with a part to install. I had to order the part myself because the other shop never called me to let me know that it was back ordered until September and I had a look somewhere else. I found that out by calling the manufacturer myself. I dropped this off and they told me it would take 72 hours to repair and they called me back in 24 hours and said it was done! Excellent service and excellent customer service. Skip the other bike shop that may have a big name and multiple locations. This is where customer service lives!

Even if the greeting was behind the desk, that was still nice that someone acknowledged my existence. Then, out comes someone different. His name was Alex and he was so nice and friendly. He told me all about the differences between bikes and what I should look for when choosing the right bike for my kids. Told me the interesting fact about why girl bike frames used to be different and now it doesn't really matter. Just incredibly patient and he never made me feel like I was an inconvenience or a waste of time because I wasn't looking to buy... right now. Alex was extremely knowledgeable and his ability to make me feel comfortable in a setting that I wasn't, was a pleasant surprise. He told me all the things that the bike factory could assist with if we did purchase a bike such as changing the tires, brake pads, etc. which even if we are not avid bikers, was still great information. I would hope that if and when I go back again, I get Alex to help out. He was awesome.
