This way we could also use the 3 lounge chairs and umbrella we rented at Waikiki Beach and throughout our travels around the island to other beaches. It was easy and affordable. They dropped off the chairs and umbrella to our hotel and then picked it up at the end. Communication was easy, friendly and helpful. We'll definitely use them again next time we're in town!

Having the items delivered and picked up from our hotel was incredibly convenient. I chose Akamai over others because of the dropoff/pickup, the umbrella type, and the cooler type. The cooler is a hard case cooler that rolls on wheels, keeping our drinks nice and cold and easy to transport. This is only for the SUP rental. Location is prime if you're staying in Waikiki. Lots to do here…read more Prices are high as expected. Service is OK - just enough to get the job done. They won't take the SUP to the shore or bring it back if you're a off coming back. I love SUP but I'm little and I have a shoulder/neck/back injury so it is difficult for me to carry and I always have to ask someone to do it. I wish it wasn't such a chore for them especially since we tend to tip well (at least 20% even if its bad like this). No matter what time of year it is usually pretty crowded and hard to navigate around ppl. But if you can get out there, it is super fun and the waves are usually gentle. While staying at Moana or Royal Hawaiian we saw a monk seal in the waves swimming through the surfers. Other than that not too much sea life sadly.

All equipment is bar coded for fast check out; no up-selling. Current equipment are: Paddle boards, surf boards, wakeboards, chairs, umbrellas, floatees, etc. Not sure if the scooters/bikes in front of their shop are theirs...? Atmosphere - Small rental shop on the Waikiki strip and the beach is literally across the street, so you don't have to lug your board everywhere, which I have seen. I am surprised that there are not more surfboard accidents from walking and carrying boards. Open 7 days a week from 7am to 5pm. Service - 6 stars!! Very professional and efficient.
