Super awesome place to get all your rental needs for the beach. They also sell shirts, caps, and lotion. They also have surf boards for rent. We borrowed the umbrella, chairs, and a boogie board. Tl Sign in process was pretty easy with the QR code. Just be there early because it does ge packed. Tessa and Katie were a huge help with making the process seamless. We got some free rentals through our hotel, and it was super easy. NOTE: THE UMBRELLAS COME IN 2 PARTS AND HAVE PULL-DOWN HANDLES FOR DRILLING INTO THE SAND. I can't count the number of people that showed up next to us on the beach with just the top half or didn't know about the handles on the bottom half. :) read more

We got a couple of beach chairs for the day from beach candy. It was $30 for 2. They were high end Tommy Bahama chairs with an insulated pocket, cup and cell phone holders. The place was busy but the staff was friendly and efficient. Give them a try! read more

We stayed at the Alohilani so our rental was free. Friendly service and nice equipment. Definitely recommend an umbrella for hot beach days.

Great service for the most part with kids who work there but the equipment is terrible! All of the equipment we used was beyond beat up and in major need of replacement. One body board even bent in half when using it. I understand that it's not going to be top condition but seams are busted open on top and bottom of boards etc. It's great that we got to use this stuff for free through credits with our hotel but after 2 days of crappy equipment we opted out of going back any of the other 7 days left on vacay. If your going to use your name as a professional surfer to attract biz and traffic for surf lessons, have some pride in keeping decent equipment available in the shop. I'd never pay for surf lessons here based on what I saw just in the rental part of the biz. read more

Charging 40$ for an umbrella that got broken by the wind. I don't understand how is this a customer's fault and why the customer is supposed to take the responsibility to pay for it. The umbrella was kept at the lowest setting, it was hitting our heads. This is a typical wear&tear case and the business is supposed to include such case into their business model and cover that expense. Those umbrellas are old and bend under the smallest wind, used by thousands of people, how am I responsible if it breaks under the wind because the plastic is old I wouldn't rent an umbrella here again. Staff extremely unfriendly and rude. They treat you like a burden. Only when I asked for Kama'aina discount did his attitude shift a little, but he was still standoffish. I asked for the Kama'aina rate for a surfboard and he said it's $20, which appears to be the rate they charge everyone else. He said the Kama'aina rate is the same as guests who stay at certain hotels. He said we only have 2 hours and wanted to charge us $10 for a locker rental. Go somewhere else....other rental places I've tried let Kama'aina use the boards for the whole day and watch your stuff for free and the rate will be about the same (around $20). read more

Several issues with this place: 1) Strange rules about not using Apple Pay so you have to have a physical card to tap. 2) The login process for the first time you go in is not intuitive. It's not clear what you're doing or agreeing to. 3) The paddleboards are listed as complimentary but that only applies to some SUP's and they can only be used within a fenced off part of the beach where there are no waves and no reef, i.e., nothing to see. You have to pay extra to get a real paddleboard 4) We paid extra to get two paddleboards that we could take out over the reef and they gave us two of the pictured blue SUP's. They were AWFUL! They were very slippery so we couldn't even try to stand up without water shoes on (we didn't bring our water shoes with us) and then I ran into a local out on the water and he took one look at me and said, oh, you'll never stand up on that. I weigh 190 pounds and the board was not buoyant enough for me. So we wasted our money on boards that we couldn't stand on or use. We own SUP's at home so we are familiar with using them but these boards were not good. 5) Staff wasn't interested in helping us or making sure that equipment would work or had worked for us. They were quite inattentive. Wish my hotel (Park Shore) didn't contract with these guys. read more

Part of the Resort Amenities for Hilton Garden Inn Waikīkī Beach (where we stayed) and a couple other hotels. It's located on Kalakaua Avenue and is part of the Aston Waikīkī Beach hotel. There's no parking unless you pay for parking at the Aston. They open at 7am for reservations and rentals. Reservations are "day of" only. They also don't have a phone, so you must show up in person to reserve a time slot for SUP or surf boards (2-hr rental only). Everything else is first come, first serve - all day rental. HGI offers 3 credits/day. Each rental is 1 credit. There are more offerings than listed in the picture posted such as sand toys for Keiki. On the first time renting - you create a quick profile (only need to do it once) with the staff that is saved for future rentals. Do not rent the premium paddle board. I did and struggled to stay up in the surf zone, even though I've been paddle boarding for years. Come to find out that they rented me a surf board. When I returned it and complained, they just said that it just takes a bit longer to get use to it. read more

The place doesn't closed until 5pm and they require that equipment be brought back by 4pm. The manager was rude and didn't even engage with us when we asked if we could check chairs out from 4-5pm. The other employees were kind and wanted to work with us but the manager clearly just cared about having everything cleaned up and leaving at 5pm instead of providing good customer service. I've been to Waikiki every year for the last 4 years and this is the first time we had this experience with this rude manager. It doesn't take that long to hose down a chair and also goes a long way to have better customer service. read more

We rented our umbrella and beach chairs here all week. The staff is very helpful, accommodating and the rental prices are reasonable.

Stayed at the Twin fin and was given the option to use Beach Candy to use rental equipment for the beach. We were at the Twin Fin and the rental location is right on the Beach Strip. It was a great perk for the family to be able to utilize. Make sure to get the rental umbrella, which was a convenient portable way to have a little break from the sun. Especially with the kids, we were able to use sand toys, and boogie board as well. The kids enjoyed it so much. My wife was able to use the S.U.P. (stand up Paddle board) and the kids were able to hop on for a few minutes. The lagoon was such a great place for the family to just relax. The location for the beach candy rentals was so convenient. The customer service was such a delight. I don't recall all of the staff, but I recall Ola (thank you for the suggestion for the fishing spots) I was able to hook onto 2 nice fish. Elliot (Great with my kids and their little jokes they were playing). Trinity (thank you for your concern for my kid Grayson being stung by the Jellyfish). Sorry if I butchered the names and don't recall all, but we wanted to say thank you!!!
