They dropped off the chairs and umbrella to our hotel and then picked it up at the end. Communication was easy, friendly and helpful. We'll definitely use them again next time we're in town!

Having the items delivered and picked up from our hotel was incredibly convenient. I chose Akamai over others because of the dropoff/pickup, the umbrella type, and the cooler type. The cooler is a hard case cooler that rolls on wheels, keeping our drinks nice and cold and easy to transport. We informed them that guests were leaving and that we could purchase their chairs and umbrella. The cut off time to rent is 3:45. They kept saying they were sold out. The guest allowed us to take their chairs because they were paid for already. When we got in the water the men took the chairs and umbrella. Then lied on a different guest and said that they rented them and said they didn't need them anymore. The worker constantly lied in my face and said he was ready to go home. Also said they collect all of the equipment at 4:30. So, he doesn't get off until 4:30-5, why would he feel the need to take the equipment. A liar and disrespectful. Terrible experience.

No longer offering discount for multi-day rentals. Military rate increased to $50. The equipment has really aged and been neglected over the years without any reinvestment. The umbrellas are worn, torn, faded, and ripped. The chairs are worn and sagging with missing straps. The workers don't seem to care about much other than their screen time. I still recommend them, but it's a shame to see the decline in management engagement and customer experience.

All equipment is bar coded for fast check out; no up-selling. Current equipment are: Paddle boards, surf boards, wakeboards, chairs, umbrellas, floatees, etc. Not sure if the scooters/bikes in front of their shop are theirs...? Atmosphere - Small rental shop on the Waikiki strip and the beach is literally across the street, so you don't have to lug your board everywhere, which I have seen. I am surprised that there are not more surfboard accidents from walking and carrying boards. Open 7 days a week from 7am to 5pm. Service - 6 stars!! Very professional and efficient.
