Not a traditional restaurant, more like a market that serves food. Vegetarians heaven! Im not, but I do like tofu. And their tofu is the probably the best i ever had. Du Bu Gong Bang in Duluth and here have the best IMHO. Got a tofu soup in the self serve restaurant area, and it was awesome. We got tofu and ("healthier") ramen from the market next door as you should! read more

A simple and no frills vegan Korean place that makes you feel right at home. We got just two things: braised tofu and the tofu stew but this could have honestly fed another person with all the sides it came with. ABSOLUTELY DELISH! Can't recommend this place enough I'll be back. Fast service with a quiet place to eat and enjoy the food and company. The only thing that would set this place up a notch is chilli oil I'll have to bring my own next time. read more

A unique Korean restaurant & business model. Fresh homegrown farm to table ingredients is what they are known for. Self ordering kiosk and seat yourself. When your order is ready your number is called and placed self pickup at the front counter. Gochujang sauce, water and utensils in front. Self serve makes has the prices cheaper which everyone loves especially during this economy. Surprisingly no tip option either. Clean bland taste as they do not use any unnatural flavorings. Salt is added to your liking. Clean dining area and a few communal tables for groups. A favorite spot for health junkies. read more

Vegan Korean comfort food. Order at kiosk, self serve h2o in double walled stainless steel cups, pick up food when number is called. Or when you see it's yours waiting for you and you didn't realize they called your #. The tofu is stupendous, not spicy, served on a sizzling platter with all the ban chan sides. Soy sauce onions were my fave. We also had some sesame noodles that were unique and savory and perfectly squiggly. Best of all were the red bean filled buckwheat pancake dumplings. Clean restaurant with plenty of parking. I left stuffed and satisfied. read more

For me this place redeems the state of Georgia which is not well known for putting great Vegetarian and or Vegan food. (Yeah I said it bec. It's the the truth!). This place is a gem. The soft perilla -tofu soup is a soup for the soul, so healing. The tofu steak is always consistently good. This is like a mom- and pops joint so don't expect fancy, and the trimmings are a little less. I love this place. read more

So... this place is great if you're an old Asian grandpa or a vegan. I loved it even though I'm neither. The food tastes healthy and flavorful. Everything we ordered tasted great. BUT-- There is one dish, Chung-guk-jang that does wonders for your gut biome but gut punches your nose and everyone else's in the restaurant. There's always someone who orders this and there will always be a person who orders this. The owners are apparently devoted Christians who really believe in clean eating for everyone. A different kind of Korean restaurant. read more

Delicious, vegan Korean food! Came here on a very cold day. Craving some soup. This restaurant is completely self-serve, including ordering at the counter or kiosk, picking up your own food/utensil/water, and dropping off your trays when done. The hostess was nice enough when I was ordering. Ambience is very private with multiple booths. It's very cozy in here. I got the tofu Parilla soup, which was absolutely delicious. My first time trying it, and the flavors were spot on. I do prefer it more mild, and there are different condiments and sauces. You can add if you want more flavor. It came with a small amount of banchan. I left satisfied and happy. Entrées were all very affordable between $12 and $15 each for a good portion. There's also no tipping since it is a self-serve restaurant. Overall, definitely a great option if you are looking for vegan/vegetarian food in the area. read more

HJ Farm Mart Restaurant - Korean Near Me - Suwanee, Georgia

The iconic Korean vegan restaurant in Suwanee. EVERYTHING here is delicious. I specifically visit for their perilla leaf stew and buckwheat sweet bean cakes. There is a touch screen ordering system, then they call your number and put your set meal tray on the bar for pickup. The food is on the milder side flavor wise, perfect for when you are feeling sick or want to have a healing meal. Nothing fancy, just delicious, unique, and healthy food. read more

Food was delicious!!! When we walked in the smell was pungent and not good. After we placed our order I looked at my fiancé and said "it smells gross" and he said "yeah it smells like a**, but that's how you know it's good." Sure enough, he was right. We were also the only white people in there, and the only ones speaking English. But again, that's how you know it's good! I had the vegetable bibimbap and my fiancé had the kimchi and vegetable dumpling soup. I was craving something with lots of vegetables and this satisfied my craving for sure! read more

I'm a vegetarian myself, and I know how hard it is to find vegetarian friendly Asian food options, and I'm delighted to have found this place!!! It's a mom-and-pop shop, self-service. Most everything is in Korean, but you can look at the pictures to decide what you want at the kiosk haha (that's what I did). The food is delicious and delicate. It reminds me of home-cooking or what I would eat at home and definitely brings me comfort. The cow in the pictures is my own prop for my food account on instagram haha! read more

HJ is a self service restaurant that serves Korean vegan food. Eating here makes me feel like I'm at my grandma's house, the food is so comforting both to my stomach and my soul. The serving size is HUGE to and each entree comes with side dishes and rice so I always leave this place very full. I've been here multiple times and I've enjoyed all the food except the bibimbap. The bibimbap here is just rice with a huge bed of uncooked veggies so I would only recommend that menu to a hardcore veggie lover. My favorite is the noodle with the perilla powder. The soup is so comforting and I love the chewy noodles. Overall a greasy restaurant! read more

I come here all the time because of the quality of the food - it's clean, it's not overburdened with salt and sugar and MSG, and it's delicious. It is also all organic/vegan even though I'm in no way a vegan or even a vegetarian. All the food is grown on their farm and is exactly what it says - you can tell just from the taste. I'm trying to change my diet completely and become more selective in where I dine out as well as at home so this place definitely makes the cut. Service is great and simple - you put in your order via a self service kiosk and wait for them to call out your order when it's ready. Staff is friendly and approachable, and the restaurant is clean and very quiet and family friendly. You clean and bus your own trays when you're finished. Has outdoor seating and the restaurant is connected to a shop next door that sells ingredients taken fresh from their farm. It's my understanding that the place is owned by 7th-day adventists which I guess is why this place is closed on Saturdays? Just something to know since the shop is open all other days. Enjoy! read more

HJ Farm Mart Restaurant - Perilla tofu soup - Korean Near Me - Suwanee, Georgia

HJ Farm Mart Restaurant If you are plant based, and wants to add more taste and variety into your palette, check out HJ Farm Mart Restaurant. Located in Suwanee, GA right next to Choong Man Chicken, HJ is a Korean-vegan specialty restaurant that focuses on organic products and no animal products. Their menu is very small and limited, but the food is light and delicious. I got the tofu steak and Kimchi dumpling soup. The flavor is great, not many bad things to say. A disclaimer to anyone that might consider wanting to try. If you like kimchi, the kimchi here will be a little more on the lighter/bland side as they don't use fish or shrimp products in their kimchi. The restaurant is fullly self-service, meaning 1.) you sit yourself, 2.) you walk up, order yourself, pay, and grab the food yourself. The restaurant is also more on the quieter side. read more

This is the real review! Food, very fresh very healthy... very bland. Their own made tofu wasn't pressed and marinated. It was coated in a great sauce and pan fried. Their seaweed soup included smelled horrible but I tried it and was bland. kimchi was GREAT, best I've had. Service: she was very helpful and tried helping us make a decision from their menu. Very nice people making it hard to leave an honest review. Ambiance I've seen 5/5 on other reviews.... 2/5 is honest. It's a hodgepodge restaurant equipment that doesn't make sense. This restaurant has a little theme going from pictures on the wall that stops at the wall. While I was there, no one cleaned their plates. I've seen more food go to their waste than eaten! It's sad because they have incredible produce and it's bland. They do not press & marinate their tofu, so it's bland. I had high hopes from reviews and hearing they grow their own farm vegetables and make their own tofu, I was let down majorly. Sorry but I will not be coming back to eat here but will buy their tofu read more

We stopped by HJ while in Suwanee and I'm happy to say that the food is still delicious! They are very careful with social distancing with table dividers, hand sanitizer, and requiring customers wear masks. We ordered the mushroom hot pot for 2 and we heated it at the table. The hot pot was perfect on a chilly day. The broth was from vegetable broth so the soup was very rich. It's a little spicy due to the sauce and the peppers so don't order it if you're not good with spicy foods. The homemade tofu was soft and filling. There was actually a lot of food so we had leftovers. The soft tofu soup had very soft tofu that paired very well with the soy sauce. You can tell it's homemade because it doesn't have that traditional tofu shape. I love that they give individual side dishes so you don't have to share side dishes with anyone. You can also ask for more side dishes and rice if you want. We had too much food so we took the leftovers Togo. You have to pay 25cents to get containers. read more

Another win for the plant based community! This Vegetarian Korean Restaurant is a win. My wife and I picked up food to go. We split the Tofu Steak and Vege soup Dumplings. Overall the portions were significant and many side items provided with each meal. Tofu Steak: Thick cuts of tofu seasoned very well. Each bite has a spicy and flavorful kick. Soup Dumplings: vege or kimchi stuffed. As these dumplings bathe in the soup the flavors are enhanced. Each soupy dumpling bite is hefty and moist. The sides that come with both items are great additives to the mix. They compliment and accent your main meal. Will be back for both these meals. read more

The tofu steak meal here is absolutely delicious. And it comes with a good number/quantity of sides. It is a little pricey, but worth it in my opinion. I am not vegetarian/vegan myself, but I still crave the tofu often! read more

This restaurant has been on my list of places to try for a long time, and oh my goodness I'm so mad I didn't come here earlier! Everything tasted so delicious and clean! We ordered the tofu mushroom hot pot (27.99), tofu steak (12.99), acorn jelly (10.99 for larger portion), tofu soup, and vegetable noodle. The stars of the show? Tofu steak and acorn jelly. You can definitely tell it was made in-house, the texture and flavor was absolutely delicious. I'm craving it as I'm writing this review. The tofu mushroom pot was good, I'd definitely order it again if I have a big group. It's 27.99 and it's portion for two people but I honestly think it can feed more than 2. The tofu soup was ok, the soup base was a smidge on the sweeter side compared to the mushroom hotpot. Vegetable noodle soup was not my cup of tea, noodles were not soft enough for me. They also have bottles of red pepper sauce and sesame oil; the sauce was good, a little on the sweet side but the sesame oil was so fragrant and flavorful. I didn't get a chance to ask if it was the same one that they sell in the store (which is actually made in Duluth) but it was so freaking good. I will definitely be back! I'm not vegan, but I am a big tofu and acorn jelly fan. This restaurant has won my heart, I'm a meat eater but I did not miss it! read more

Today I had the most amazing vegan meals ever. Everything was made from scratch and organic. The food is light, clean, fresh taste. Their jasmine tea is so fragrant. We had number 4 (dumplings soup ) and 6 (tofu steak). Both were delicious!!! The portion is HUGE and the price is very reasonable. Esther who served us is very friendly and helpful explaining the menu to us. I'm bringing all my vegan family next time. This is my new favorite joint!!! read more

Oh my stars, the best and most quality dinner out I have had since moving to Georgia over a year ago! We are plant based and I seriously felt like this meal fed my soul. My husband brought me here for my birthday dinner and we shared the tofu steak and the dumpling soup. Soooo delicious. We went back a week later to their store and bought more dried ginger chews and then also got some soft tofu and vegan kimchi to make Korean stew, and the rolls with beans and veggies. We will be back probably more than we should, but certainly for their soft tofu. When I was buying it a sweet lady came up to me and pointed to the soft tofu and said it was "special", and she is right! Yum! I hope next time they have some jasmine tea as that was the only thing they were out of that I missed. read more

To our surprise, HJ Mart or , was completely "vegun!" We ordered the perilla knife noodles, kimchi dumpling soup and chungkookjang. I have a history of plant-based eating so I absolutely loved it and the two people I was with, although not their usual choice of cuisine, also loved it! It was decently priced, self serve and COVID conscious. Its quite unusual to have a completely vegan Korean restaurant so I definitely recommend this place to my vegan friends or friends who want a healthy yet filling meal. I'll be back to try more on the menu) :) ~ read more

The star of the show is the Tofu Steak (made from scratch) served with the most delicious sauce ever! It's very filling as it also comes with side dishes like kimchi, rice, etc for $14.99. The food is very fresh! Everything is organic and vegan. Self service, no tip. Seating is first come first serve and you get your own water/tea. Known for their vegan/vegetarian variety. I love the food here. Recommend their tofu steak. It is so good. Their silk tofu soup is also amazing. The price + tax is what you pay without tip, so their menu may seem expensive at first but for their taste , the price is decent. I love how they have Jasmine tea served. I just love tea and it's a nice touch and a good way to warm the stomach before digging in. The restaurant is connected to their vegetables. We went to this vegan eatery for the first time yesterday. Truly farm to table, as the farm is right across the street. When I asked about the farm she pointed across the street literally! They are Seventh-day Adventists, and therefore eat no dairy or meat. I tried two entrées as I was interested in tasting different things, but what was so surprising in this day and age Is that each entrée came with salad, kimchi, several dipping sauces, and a large bowl of rice. It was just as good today but be warned if you order it is a large portion that you get! I couldn't get past the salad because it was so delicious! And so fresh! They grow their own lettuces and when you bite into them it's as though you can taste how fresh and organic it is. It is set up as a self-service and I was TOLD not to tip but rather to clean up after myself as they do not clean up the tables. The food was delicious. Warning, the sauces or a little spicy, and they come separately so you can flavored the food yourself but be warned. The menu was a little bit offputting as it is in Korean. My son and I asked for help in ordering and I can tell you that the dumpling soup is amazing and that we enjoyed the turmeric tofu Bimbimbap salad. The entrée items are big enough to share but the salads are not. And I promise you you will want more than one read more

The portion sizes are massive, but I didn't feel horribly full after, instead felt refreshed and energized. Each order came with a tray of side dishes.
