First visit to this salon and I'll be going back. Love being able to set up and make selections on what I wanted to have done online. When I arrived, the front desk was very friendly, and my stylist, Savannah, promptly came and got me. Something I was very pleased with is she knew what I had requested in my online booking and was able to speak directly to what I wanted. She asked great clarifying questions and got to work with no delay. I was going from a darker color to a blonde highlight with a shorter haircut/style and she did an amazing job. Definitely recommend the salon and Savannah. there are so many salons available but I haven't found one that was reasonably priced, made me feel welcomed, with a stylist who has a great personality until now. DO NOT GO TO THis Salon ! I booked an appointment to have my hair blown out and a beach wave for my best friend's big 50th birthday party . My friend booked the appointment and told them I have past shoulder hair and it's very thick . Five minutes in the appointment, I realized the woman blowing my hair had no clue or experience on how to blow hair that's on the frizzy side . When I tried to tell her she had to pull and use a lot of heat , she walked away and then told me , she couldn't finish my hair and definitely couldn't curl it . As I got up to leave , a student came to me and said she felt bad . She was nice enough to at least try to blow my hair . As I'm giving the student some tips on how to make my hair smooth , another manager starts raising her voice at me . She told me there was nothing she could do and they have a strict policy on customers not helping or going there own hair . Iit was a total nightmare. I looked horrible when I left . I will say , the lady manager who yelled at me said she was sorry but how could you treat a paying customer with such lack of respect and disregard?? Horrible place , no need to ever go . So one of my friends sees a different person here and has had great experiences so I decided to give it a shot. I booked a facial. The lady was nice and the salon was surprisingly roomy inside. The facial room was nice with plenty of space. Now the service. Like I said I booked a 60 minute facial. Well I'm pretty sure I got a 15 minute facial and a 45 minute upper neck/arm massage. If I wanted a massage I would have booked one. Yea I've had facials before and I know they do a brief chest/arm massage but this wasn't that. I was actually bored of all the massaging, it wasn't great and it was never ending. My face was an afterthought. I have been a client at this salon since 2010, so 15 years. My daughter, who has VERY curly hair has wanted to have it straightened. I called to discuss what options were available, made very clear that her hair was extremely curly, and they suggested having a keratin treatment. I had done research and was fairly certain that this was not permanent, but they assured me that it was going to keep her hair straight for six to eight weeks. I made an appointment for Saturday at 12:30. I received a call around 9 Saturday morning and was told they would have to reschedule, as the stylist she was scheduled with was sick. Understood. My daughter was scheduled to visit family beginning Sunday, so we pushed that back to get her in for their next available appointment on Monday. We go to her Monday appointment, I checked her in, and after a few short minutes the stylist says that this will not in fact straighten her hair and that it would only help with "frizz." I talked with the front desk managers, who repeatedly told me it wouldn't work for her hair, which, I get, however my frustration is with the absolute waste of time and the complete lack of knowledge from the person I made this appointment with in the first place. It was like prying teeth to get an "I'm sorry" from either of the three girls at the front desk, and thanks to their complete FAIL at customer service, they have lost a customer of 15 years. read more

I did a walk in to turn my partial highlight back to my natural hair color. My hairstylist had her license but was still in "training". She consulted me and then got approval from her trainer. I was a bit worried but she did a great job. She heard what I wanted and delivered it. My hair looks alot healthier and I love the color. I paid around $80-90. read more

It hurts me to write this review because my stylist (who will remain nameless) was super nice and professional, but in the end I just was not happy with the outcome of the service. I made an appointment here, and asked to book with someone who had experience with Asian hair. They booked me and I had a date within that week. The salon itself is very cute and larger than you'd think. When I met with the stylist, I told her exactly what I wanted. I wanted to keep the overall length of my hair, but i wanted a lot of long layers in it. In retrospect, I should have shown her a picture of what I wanted. She did a great job with keeping the length but did not layer my hair at all. After the first go around, I told her that I didn't see any layers, so she proceeded to try to put more in. At the end of the 2nd round, I just told her it was fine because I was afraid she would keep cutting until my length was shorter than I would like it. My hair is uneven in so many places and is not uniform in cut at all. Thankfully, having long hair, the choppiness is not too noticeable. read more

I've just recently tried His or Hers Salon & Spa this year and am thus far pretty pleased, if not impressed. They're recently redesigned and remodeled much of their space I can tell and everything is particularly modernized and nice looking. I love the website and online booking tool. You can view services and prices and for each employee there's helpful information and ranking in their level of skill/career to aid in making your selection and in justifying the price for each person's service. The front desk staff (very important) is friendly and capable, which is something some of the most important businesses overlook (hello doctor's office). I recently met and received a men's haircut from Christina and have nothing but praise. I find hair salons often receive high or low reviews based off a single experience from a single stylist on a single day based on a person's expectations which may or may not have been communicated well. So if you've had a bad experience from, let's say Maria, you can't really say the place is bad; it's just Maria didn't do what you would have wanted, right? So I'm trying to fairly set up the universal expectation of what you can expect from His or Hers Salon & Spa which thus far is a more than satisfactory experience. The place is clean, the prices are good, the location is great (large shopping center off a main road), and scheduling appointments is extra convenient. I also like that fact that you pay first and then turn to a separate system and leave an extra tip if you so choose. This is in contrast to every other hair salon I've been to where it not only gets rung up altogether but you also get asked verbally what sort of tip you'd like to add for your stylist, which I find quite off-putting. So, I really like how you can leave your tip just as one more 'icing on the cake' kind of feature to an already good experience. I'm not sure I've ever seen the owner or manager because the staff seem to work pretty independently and effectively on their own. Today, my daughter visited the salon with her grandparents. My daughter had photo of a short wolf cut with curtain bangs. The stylist that cut her hair, took way too much hair off leaving uneven chucks in attempt to layer the hair. The back of her head was cut so bad, as one side was over an inch shorter than the other side. Her hair cut looks like a lop-sided bowl cut. Do not go here for any current hairstyle, as they have no clue how to give trendy haircuts or cut hair as far as I am concerned based poorly executed cut. My husband purchased a very expensive gift card from His or Hers Salon as a Birthday gift for me. It was the first time I tried the salon and I was very disappointed. The lack of friendless when I entered the salon was my first observation. The girls at the reception desk were eating chick-fil-a and never bothered to put it away when checking out a customer. I'm going to just jump to my actual hair service experience. After a thorough consultation and photos that were shown to the stylist of highlights that I desired she assured me it wouldn't be an issue and I had no worries! So I trusted here experience and felt I was in goods hands. After the service was completed and my hair was blow dryed I was in shock and didn't know what to say ! I barely could see any highlights and the stylist assured me it was the lighting in the salon and once I got home I would be able to see them better. I paid $197 for a partial highlight. I returned home and my husband was so upset because he couldn't see the highlights at all ! The next morning I called 3 times and finally the manager took the call. She stated she didn't know what to do and she was going to call the owners at home. I never heard back! There are so many top notch salons out there. What a shame to destroy your own business due to ego. So First off I went to this location roughly 5 yrs earlier about 3x and left feeling they were far over priced for the lack of experienced hair dressers. I have been getting my dark hair highlighted for oh 20yrs and it's hard to find someone that knows color. Well After switching to a balayage I decided to go back to highlights this summer. I saw Haley for the second time and she meet me early to discuss me switching to highlights before we start. Once started I asked her if the highlights went up high to the root and she said yes. I also wanted my long hair layered and showed her a picture. While she was rushing and i reminded her about the layers i could tell she barely nipped any hair. Well i left there with my hair curled and it looked ok. But after I washed it and went straight again I saw that there were no layers and the highlights did not go to the root so it looked like a balayage. Ugh! After paying almost $400!!! I was pissed. I run a business and don't have time to go back right away. I finally had time to call about 3 weeks later and the manager stated I should have called within 7 days. I told her she can look at my hair and tell it was never layered and never highlighted to the root. It would not grow out 3 inches in 3 weeks!! She said well what do you want? I said what just WHAT I PAID FOR! She then said they she could offer me a complimentary 5 foils and have her put in layers. I said you are not doing me a favor when I paid -almost $400 for foils and it was a full foil. So to end the story I ended up paying almost $400 for 5 foils and a reluctant ok layer job. I do not recommend this place. My husband surprised me by scheduling a "spa day". I was thrilled.. but not for long. Day 1- hydrafacial and massage. (The salon scheduled them in this order.) Cons: I'm not sure if the technician was qualified or certified on the facial machine and did not know what I was talking about when I requested "add-ons" as advertised in the the lobby pamphlet as well as the website. Then I had to lay on my stomach for the massage and all the moisturizer previously applied with the facial ended up on the blanket. Pro: the ladies performing the services were nice. Day 2- hair color/highlight and gel mani/pedi. Cons: I have long hair to the middle of my back and was excited about getting highlights and lowlights. I was told the stylist wanted to consult with me first then was informed she would call me that night (on day 1) to discuss. I never got a call or text. I arrived 30 min early for the hair appointment on the off chance the stylist wanted to do that consult. Nope. She waited until appointment time, told me I was scheduled for a root touch up and proceeded to seek out other stylists about my hair. It was horrible watching other people make decisions about my hair without involving me. We settled on root highlights and a money peice. The stylist handed me a slip of paper with a new price on it to sign before she began. (I never got a copy of this.) Adding to the stress, their layout is crowded and I constantly felt like I was in the walkway and packed in with others like sardines in the coloring area. I literally could kick the client in front of me if I adjusted my legs wrong. After I was rinsed and didn't see any money peice and that my highlights had been toned so they weren't visible. I finally had enough and made her stop. I almost left but stayed hoping nails would be a hail mary to save this experience. My husband set up a gel manicure with the receptionist. But when I was in the chair I found out they don't do gel nails. I had to get normal polish. A fitting end to my experience so far. They totally botched an opportunity to retain me as a client. I left in tears and with full on guilt. His or Hers ruined one of the sweetest gestures my husband has given me. On top of that, we paid way to much ($648.36 excluding tips - yes, I tipped all 4 girls) for a salon that couldn't deliver on their promises/services. My husband gifted me with a Spa Day for Christmas! I got to have my day last weekend! I was nervous to go, because I never did anything like this before and I had not had good experiences with a few pedicures at other places. I was greeted immediately when I entered the salon. I then patiently waited for my Spa experience. I was greeted by Lila. Lila did my mani and pedi. She is so sweet and I really enjoyed our conversation. It was just she and I there and I felt like so special. She made me feel so comfortable that I was falling asleep during the pedicure! Love the color that I chose too! As Lila was finishing, another lady entered the area. Marilyn introduced herself and said that she would be doing the massage. She explained the experience that I would have and asked if I had any questions. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. She said that I could just close my eyes, enjoy the aromatherapy, and listen to the sounds that were playing. The room was nice and comfortable. Marilyn made the aura perfect. This was an experience that I never had. I never had a professional massage. I did fall asleep. When she finished, I sat up and said,"Thank you Jesus!" I felt like a dream come true! I felt like I had walked on cloud nine. I had to hold my composure. I got to my vehicle to call my husband. I was so emotional as I spoke to my husband to say thank you. I made an appointment here for my husband a couple weeks ago and wasn't going to write a review but I genuinely think ppl, specifically men, need to know not to get their hair cut by Cory. I feel so bad I made the apt for him, in order for him to be pampered. He was there for almost and hour and a half and came home super upset. Said he gave her specifics to what he wanted, always wearing a side part, close on the side, and a little longer on top. A very classic simple mens cut. She immediately parted his hair down the center and started cutting straight across he stopped her and said he never wears his hair like that but she insisted that was how she did it. He can home with a dumb and dumber cut and I've never seen him so unhappy with a hair cut before. Not okay. I was convinced it would get better in a week or two but no, it's growing out worse than the original cut. I honestly wish I went to Great Clips. The boliyage would've looked better, the price would've been cheaper, the time spent would've been shorter, and they would've told me the price before doing a service. I was told it would take 2 hours to do my boliyage, I walked out of there 6 hours later. SIX HOURS LATER, TRIPLE THE RECOMMENDED TIME. I told her what I wanted, I showed her pictures and my expectations clear and easy to understand. Or so I thought, the finished result was not what I wanted at all. I went back a week later and explained to her that it wasnt what I wanted, she responded with 'this is what it's supposed to look like, you have to come here every 2 weeks and pay $200 each time for it to become a boliyage.' I walked in expecting for the total to be $200 max, but in the end I spent $300 on services that I thought were included (she didnt ask me of I wanted it done, she just did it and stuck me with the bill). The area where they color hair has no mirrors (red flag 1), she kept asking me why I didnt want to just bleach my whole head (red flag 2), she kept asking a lady for help on how she'd apply the color (red flag 3). I booked a last minute massage appointment here because my Momma gets her hair done here, and I know their spa pedicure is sensationally awesome! I ended up having some free time and I was in dire need of a good rub down. Knowing they are on the high price point, and how much I loved my pedi, I decided to fork up the $70 + TIP for a high quality massage. The girl on the phone was pleasant and was able to list the massage options for me, but there was a $15 up charge for "deep tissue" and any other things like hot stone, but she failed to mention that if I wanted to leave a tip it would need to be CASH OR CHECK. (REALLY? WHAT YEAR IS THIS?!) My arrival was ok, the tech Cathy met me in the hall and knew I was her appt, which was very good service. She was very nice and gave me the pre-appt questionnaire to complete, and brought me water. The room was calming and the massage table was VERY COMFORTABLE, the music was not too loud but could have been more soothing. The bathroom needs work, the TP is cheap one ply and no tasteful spa decor or quality cloth towels. The massage was less than I hoped for. Cathy did a good job trying to upsell me at the start of the session but I was not paying more than $70 for a 50 minute massage. I feel that the management probably forces them to upsell every client for every service. Cathy gave me a lotioned rub down on a heated table, with heated eye mask and face pad. She did provide a bit more pressure ONCE I ASKED, but she never asked me if the pressure was ok, or any questions about how I was feeling during the service. She gave good conversation and she worked more on the areas I requested, but I get more pressure from my Momma's hands! (and I am a weak baby when it comes to pressure) I might see Cathy again for a facial, but not a massage. So I feel as if I paid $70 for a very relaxing skin lube job with a sidecar of Biofreeze for my lower back pain. I go out to pay at the counter and I pay with my card and ask to leave a tip, and was informed only then that they do not allow you to add it to your card! Really? Only cash or check. "We pay a dollar for every credit card transaction" - from the owner. I drive out, get cash, return to leave a tip and one of the owners (rude, short hair, glasses, can't miss her) replies to me, "We don't assume everyone tips because it's a gift," after I mention to her that they should tell clients that on the phone when they book. I feel this is not only disrespectful to her clients, but especially her staff. If you provide high end services at a spa, the clients tip everyone - so she either was giving me a load of BS because she wanted to be right, or she is an imbecile! If that's your policy, fine, but don't shoot me a line about tips being gifts, lady, just tell people when they book so your staff earn their fair share of gratuities. Your way just sends the wrong message and lets them miss out on a chance to make more $ for their service. I have been going to this salon for 6 years and see Bonnie. She did a good job. Lately, I feel like they looking their personal touch by changing to other people during your session to take care of you because she has another customer to tend too. Like while you wait for color to do the job on your hair, she have another client for hair cut, then you get you shampoo done by another person. You may have to wait in between shampooing because she is busy before she can give another instruction. I just find another place to go that get you in and out and not much time to waste. read more

I'm a regular at this salon for cuts and colors. I always ask for Christina; she's friendly (but not too friendly) and an excellent stylist. I recently got a great pixie hair cut from her and often receive compliments, which is saying something, as pixie cuts can be difficult. The salon is always clean and has a comfortable atmosphere. While waiting for an appointment, you can browse through some unique accessories and bath & beauty products they have for sale in the waiting area. Was told the balyage would take 2 hours in total to do, which was great for my schedule. But in reality it took 6 HOURS WITH 2 OTHER GIRLS HELPING HER! I'm a college student and I missed 2 of my classes and was about to miss another one, because of how long it took. When I was explaining how I wanted my balyage to look, which was higher up than usual so it'd grow out with a balyage, they kept asking me 'why don't you just dye your whole head blonde?' I should've just walked out. There aren't any mirrors in the area where they color hair, but if there was a mirror I would've most definetly said something. What they did was they created a line, an inch from my scalp, and dyed all of that blonde. I looked like I had dyed my whole head blonde a month ago and needed a touch up badly. I also asked her to dye and xut mt undercut, which was in the shape of a triangle. I have no idea hows s he didn't see that it was a triangle. She dyed the area then cut it, but when she colored it she colored a box. She didnt color the tip of the triangle. When it came to cutting my undercut she had only cut the part she had dyed, I then informed her that she missed the top of the triangle. She then informed me that she didnt color that part and asked if I wanted to grow that part out....... I was like excuse me?! She bever offered to color it again or for me to come again to fix her mistake, she was just like 'oh well, now I know for the next time you come.' WHAT?! So a week later I go back because Im not satisfied, I dont like it. She then tells me that Id have to pay her the same amount to fix it. I asked her how much I paid, because when I had paid I didn't care how much it was I just cared to catch my class. She told me I had paid over 300 dollars. I was like 'how come it was that much' She then tyold mee that I had a hair cut, balyage, tint, and style which ended up to be over 300. Let me tell you, I was never warned that my undercut trim was concidered a full hair cut, because if I knew I would've gotten a full hair cut. I was never asked if I wanted a style, she just did it and gaave me the bill, without telling me it was extra. This salon is overpriced and they don't care to tell you if something is going to charge you extra. read more

I had the pleasure of getting my eyebrows microbladed at this location and I was ABSOLUTELY pleased! I previously got them done from someone else and it was not a great experience. I can't begin to tell you how this experience was so opposite. Nikki, made me feel so comfortable. She very detail with explaining the process and answering all of my questions. It was the most impressive experience I have ever had getting a hair cut. The way I was greeted was so professional, it was an experience. They go above and beyond anywhere else I have ever been to get a hair cut to make you feel welcome. They even asked if I wanted a water and they brought me a bottle water.
