Would not recommend, place has gone downhill over the years. Food quality is not great, oysters are bad, crab legs super salty. Sometimes they take forever to put out more food once they run out. I know times are hard but people pay good money for this buffet and should be able to eat what they paid for. Service is not great, owner is rude. read more

I've never been to a place like this before. It was SUPER packed, which seems that it is very well liked. People come here in big groups, so thankfully we just needed a small table which seemed to help get us sat a little quicker, but overall the wait moved. The waiting area is WAYYY too small right now for their crowds, but that is apparently due to them working to expand. The crowd might have helped with the fact that all of the food was really freshly prepared and didn't seem soggy or like it had been sitting around. They also seemed to keep up on keping things stocked. So many great options too! A great variety of sushi, crab legs, shrimp, etc. There was a very gregarious young lady at the counter who was super helpful and shared info on them expanding to have a hot pot too. My friends and I had a great dinner at Hiro Saturday night. The restaurant recently opened... about one week ago and the parking lot has been packed since. It's brought new life to the east side of the HMart shopping center... and it's good! Hiro is a buffet, featuring a wide selection of sushi, including rolls, nigiri and sashimi. There are several sushi chefs so the sushi is constantly being replenished, even though it goes fast! There's all you can eat Chinese food, seafood, veggies, stir fry, soups and salads! They also have fresh fruit and yummy desserts. The lemon cake has a light whipped cream (instead of frosting). Very good! We all had a slice... and all of this for only $13.99 during dinner and $8.99 during lunch. That is a steal! Our server was great. We ordered tea which washed things down nicely, as we tried not to overeat... which of course, is hard not to, at any buffet. But no regrets here! read more

It's slightly different version of LD buffet. The same layout, bit of upgrades and slight remodeling. Closed off the back side. Japanese food wise, not much to talk about. Do have more roll selection and limited sashimi on a boat. Forget which roll it was but included caterpillar rolls, rainbow rolls and several others that was lot better than standard California rolls. Chinese food wise, about the same. Do have cold snow crab legs and fresh oysters. For $14.95 AYCE for Colorado, need to give extra star. read more

Not worth it even for 13 dollars the food is cold. And the waiters don't really acknowledge you and that is after you have to leave a tip before you sit down. Ok I never give buffets 5 stars unless it's a Vegas buffet so this is a great rating in my book. The chicken wings were so good my son and I regretted eating at another place before this place. We went here after a wedding and ate up a storm. The sushi was really fresh and not too much rice. The different rolls were dynamite! I think I ate like 5 huge fresh oysters with cocktail sauce. The wasabi was too hard though. You guys need to soften that up so it dissolves in the soy sauce easier. I stirred that for a long long time before it loosened up. The chocolate ice cream was good too but you have to eat it there or they will charge you .50. I don't know how they make a profit because they have a lot of seafood and I didn't get to eat it but they had Korean bbq in the back. Eat here if you want a lot of seafood. The sushi they make here do taste better than other Chinese buffet restaurants' but I still wouldn't put Hiro in my "Japanese" cuisine book! I enjoyed the miso soup, chicken wings, shrimp cocktail, veggies, sushi, ice cream (in their own individual cups! Great for controlling waste but wish they label the flavors). I stayed away from the crab legs - they were really REALLY salty. For about $15 you get to eat seafood (including oysters!) on the weekend at dinner time! So here's my criteria for buffets: 1) good (enough) food. 2) fairly priced. 3) wide selection. 4) no lines. 5) empty dishes quickly replaced. 6) clean. Hiro ticks the boxes for all these! Plus along with the extensive Chinese food fare, there's sushi, sashimi, a korean area, clay pot something, and a cooked to order section. That's a WIDE SELECTION. Considering that this wide selection is still the same every night, I can't return too often but when I do it's nearly always a positive experience. I'd recommend it and return! read more

My parents and I went with family to the buffet and I'm not one for buffets, but I decided to give this a try. Plenty of seating, booths and tables so they can accommodate a larger party. Once they seat you, you are free to roam. It's not large, but they have a large selection - fried rice, chow mein, rolls, crab legs, and a grill if you wanted to order something they make it. I am one to watch when they come out to put fresh batches of food out, I'll make my way up and grab it. If I feel it's been sitting a while, no thanks. Most of the food here was changed out frequently; especially the rolls as they are on ice. Service here was good. I have been here about 3x, mainly family members like it because of the all you can eat seafood. But I have never really liked the food. Here is the deal, it's $20.99 a person. Sounds like a good deal, but quality is way off. Every time I go here, I'm not the payer so whatever. But this last time, I got really sick. Like for over 2 weeks. Be careful, if you are covid aware. You're basically touching the dirty utensils over and over. The rundown: My sushi tasted a bit old, like it's been sitting out. Maybe that made me sick? Or maybe it was the chicken. I don't know, I told my family I don't want to come back. Yes they have big tables for large parties. But for that price go somewhere else, hell cook a decent meal at your own place. A lot of fried foods, and I like fried but they might be overcooking things because the taste was off. Like kinda chewy, hard, and like they been sitting out. I just think if you want quality , don't come here. It's way too pricey in my opinion. You can go to red lobster and maybe order something cheaper and might even taste better. And I mean that too, nothing here sticks out to me as quality. Not saying red lobster is the best, but it's better than this place. But if you could care less, keep in mind weekends are the busiest. Truly had to fight back giving this 1 star. Nothing completely horrific happened or anything, so I guess that's reason enough to give this two? But I have to tell you, the food here was just not good. We really came for the crab legs because the price was decent, but sadly, these crab legs were salty. And not like too much salt in the pot of water they were boiled in kinda salty, but like fake saltwater (my bf said they tasted like they came out of someone's fish tank) kinda salty. Lunch buffet mon thru Friday between 11a to 2pm is $14 per person; my Gf and I went there today, a lady at front does come across not too friendly, anyway I think they charge $4 for soft drinks, we had two pepsi, , $8 for drinks, left 15% Tip, menu has been same for longest time, sushi Wasn't fresh, soup was lukewarm, and we ended up paying $41 with tip. They need to change menu on regular basis, and $4 for soda is litte too much. The location is honestly great but unfortunately that's the only good thing I can say about this place. There's only one employee or two at most that are actually very kind while the others lack customer service skills. The manager was consistently yelling at the wait staff while we were there which made the atmosphere awkward. They were also a little too eager to take your plates away, not necessarily a bad thing but sometimes you just want a plate for your trash. The sodas are very watered down and basically taste like plain sparkling water with a hint of soda syrup. The selections of food at the buffet bar have significantly decreased; everything is basically fried, no sautéed vegetables, hardly any vegetables in dishes that should have some. Meat was all chewy and Luke warm, sushi was room temperature, hardly any crab legs and when you did get some they were full of salty water. They made my mom and I sick less than 12 hours later. The only food items I enjoyed were the fried rice (still very plain and bland), the rice noodles, and the fried donuts, needless to say; that meal was probably more unhealthy than if I ate at McDonalds. If you really want nice Asian food, just go to the cafe inside HMart, cheaper prices and better quality food. Plus you can grab some other nice staples such as cheap vegetables and delicious snacks. read more

This was disappointing from start to finish. The food didn't look fresh or even appetizing. The sushi looked too old to risk trying. A lot of the meats were over cooked, dry, and lacking flavor. I hardly saw any veggies there at all. Even the egg rolls were suffering! It tasted like they wrapped mushy onions up and called it a day. We ate very light for eating at a buffet. Even if I did want to take the risk and pig out...the price was not worth it especially with the weekend pricing they have. Went to try this buffet for lunch last week. They have a huge selection from sushi to soup. The sushi selections are quite good, all are nicely setup with lots of full serving platters. Just a bit better than an O.K. buffet. The food is not bad for a buffet and there are a lot of seafood options. The place is generally clean and comfortable. The price for lunch is very reasonable but I feel the dinner price is a little expensive as the food choices seem to be the same for almost twice the cost. What I find somewhat strange and uncomfortable are all the signs that you see when you walk in the door. Upon entering, you are bombarded with warning signs stating that you are on camera and will be placed on the "wall of shame" if you walk out on your check. Maybe they have a big problem with this, but there must be a better way to handle the issue than to threaten customers as soon as they enter your business. I have eaten here several times and will return, but it's not my first choice of buffets. read more

I went on a Sunday where the price almost doubles and it's about the same selection of items and not a dramatic change of items to justify the hike in price for Saturday's and Sunday's. Food is decent and it's a good variety of sushi to choose from. The seating area needs some updates as there are many seats that the coverings are ripped. Also tables have some chipped areas that makes me wonder if a fresh coat of paint will bring it back a nice look again. It does not looks appealing to me that in one big station they have the shrimp, crab legs, oranges and cantaloupe together. They should be in separate stations. read more

HORRIBLE! Horrible customer service. We've been hear many times before but the last two times we've felt so disrespected. Our family eats a lot of crab and we brought plates of crab legs to our table to enjoy. Food was okay like always. But this is the last time we will be here. The waitress saw and told other waitresses to come and look and almost FIVE waitresses came in the corner and was watching us eat the whole entire time. Glaring every second, wish I said something about it. Last time we will be here and will be telling others about them. This is called an all you can eat restaurant for a reason.
