    Sour watermelon shaved ice
    Andrew W.

This place is amazing! My friend and I got lunch and then went here for a cool dessert as we walked around historic grapevine. He got the strawberry lemonade popsicle and I got the sour watermelon shaved ice. We both absolutely loved what we got and said we would be back for sure. I would for sure return and will take others back to experience this place!

This place has popsicles and shaved ice; I'm sure the popsicles are nice but getting a shaved ice freshly made seems like a pretty obvious decision, particularly given the dry heat of Texas and the fantastic variety of flavors they offer. Their fresh fruit flavors cost a bit more, but on the strength of the white peach I ordered, are well worth it. A few popsicles are dairy-based, but the vegans and people with allergies will have no difficulty here. The main drawback was that there was a line, but I still made my airport train and I was certainly better off for having made the detour.

WOW! So we have always been Bedford Snowball fans but this place has the smoothest, finest ice around. The flavors taste like the actual fruit and not just flavored syrup.

Best shaved ice cream. Awesome service. We love this place, clean and nice. They have natural flavors too, we really love mango with Tajin.

"I said a hip-hop, the hippie, to the hippie To the hip, hip-hop and you don't stop the rockin'" (Sugar Hill Gang) After exploring the downtown shops of Grapevine on a 100+ degree day, what could possible be better than a big dish of shaved ice? The answer is Cheesecake flavored shaved ice! Hip Pop was a real joy to visit. It started with our lovely and gracious host who did a great job managing the store when their payment app went kerfluey. We heard her tell one cashless family "don't worry about it, come back and pay tomorrow". They sell 25 types of shaved ice, plus slushes and fruit or milk based popsicles. I went with a small shaved ice - half banana and half cheesecake. What was different about the shaved ice at Hip Pop were the dozen or so holes drilled into the mounded ice with a straw. They acted as mini downspouts for a uniform distribution of the syrups throughout the entire dish. Genius! If you're ever walking down the streets of Grapevine, make sure you stop at 520 S. Main and cool off with one of their frozen treats.

This place has the best sno cones and popsicles. Homemade and oh so good! Friendly staff and easy to locate!

Nice variety, nice flavors. Some of the flavors are made out of real fruits and they use organic cane sugar for everything.

Perfect in a hot day on Main Street! Strawberry Prosecco was refreshing. Vanilla Bourbon was creamy. Very friendly service!

Service was amazing, they were so kind and helped me figure out which flavor I wanted since I was having a hard time doing that myself . Sour watermelon was DELICIOUS! My husband got the banana flavor and it was really good as well! The vibe of the shop was fun and relaxing! We will definitely be back! I loved their snow cones and appreciated it being the Hawaiian shaved ice because it's 100000% better and easier to eat!

Awesome service and shaved iced. They also have a lot of pops with cool flavors like mango coconut banana ‍

Need to cool off...get to Hip Pop! There shaved ice is to die for I highly recommend them.

Classic Hawaii favorite vanilla and strawberry half half.

This place gets five-stars, as a Hawaiian I can say this is as close as it gets to Hawaiian Shave Ice. If you're from Hawaii and wondering if they use the old school actual shave machine with the blade, the answer is yes. If you're OG Hawaii wondering if they use Malolo syrup, I didn't see any but they had signs saying they make some of their own. I can say that the Blue Vanilla and Strawberry old school favorite tastes just like home, real close to Malolo syrup. At $5 per, this place made walking Grapevine in the 108'F heat feel just fine. Come get some.

We walked in, made our choices, and were back out in just a few minutes. The selection isn't huge, but that's exactly the point. Instead of seeing 20 different croissants, you see 20 completely different creations. Each dessert has its own personality. This isn't the kind of place where you rush through everything in one sitting. Every bite has different textures, layers, fillings, and fresh fruit that make you slow down and appreciate the craftsmanship. The attention to detail is incredible. One dessert looked just like an apple--even the core was different from the outer "apple," and the tiny stem was made from dark chocolate. It's those little details that make the experience memorable. We walked out in under three minutes and spent just under $70. Was it expensive? Sure. But it felt worth it. I get it, this is not a place that makes things from scratch, but it wasn't anything great, wasn't anything to lose your mind over. He was very happy with his coffee though, enjoyed it for the majority of the day. He had dairy so I couldn't try it, but happy husband happy life. I had the acai bowl. It was fine. When I ordered raspberries I didn't know they were going to be frozen. I thought they were fresh. They weren't. The coconut yogurt on top seemed frozen as well, it had that weird frozen texture. They did slice some bananas in there. The only other thing was the plastic spoon they gave me. An acai bowl is dense and the spoon was bending trying to get through it. Not ideal. Coffee was actually great. We both genuinely enjoyed ours. I asked for a ceramic cup and got a paper cup instead, which I wasn't happy about because cardboard does tint the flavor. I asked for ceramic for a reason. Even with that, the coffee was still decently good, which says something. Cute place to sit. Comfortable seats, quiet atmosphere, plenty of parking around. No issues, nothing glaring. You can order from the menu without interacting with anyone, which we did, but a lady still came over to check if we needed anything, so they were accommodating too. My one aesthetic complaint is the plastic plants. As an establishment they can do better. Real plants exist. Overall I would come back. Probably not my first choice but we would return. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not, the stars reflect that.
