I love all the ice cream pops at this place - so far I've tried mango, coconut and banana (very creamy with strong hints of banana), strawberry cream, and watermelon lime (fruity and more like a popsicle). They have amazing shave ice just like in Hawaii, very fine ice with good homemade syrups. The shave ices are huge and even the small one will be an indulgence. If you are in a hurry - you can get the pops to go and they will pack it in a small ziploc with an ice pack for your convenience. We've been here twice and plan to return again. Each pop costs 4.46$ (including tax). The bathroom is at the farmers market next door. There are tables inside but we usually prefer to sit outside and enjoy the cold treats. read more

We heard her tell one cashless family "don't worry about it, come back and pay tomorrow". They sell 25 types of shaved ice, plus slushes and fruit or milk based popsicles. I went with a small shaved ice - half banana and half cheesecake. What was different about the shaved ice at Hip Pop were the dozen or so holes drilled into the mounded ice with a straw. They acted as mini downspouts for a uniform distribution of the syrups throughout the entire dish. Genius! If you're ever walking down the streets of Grapevine, make sure you stop at 520 S. LOVE this place! My coworker suggested I try this place and I'm so glad I did. It's a fairly small shop. They sell shaved ice, smoothies, and popsicles. I ordered a small guava flavored shaved ice and my friend ordered a mango smoothie both topped with coconut cream for an additional dollar. The small guava shaved iced was huge. They did not lie when they said natural flavors. It honestly tasted just like biting into a guayaba. And oh my goodness the coconut cream was soooo good. It added it a bit more sweetness, but not to the point that it was overwhelmingly sweet. Despite the size I devoured my shaved ice in minutes. I'm pretty sure my coworker was low-key judging me, but it was so good I just could not stop eating it. The mango smoothie also did not disappoint. It is small, but so flavorful. My first visit to Hip Pop has me hooked. I stopped on a whim when I had a little time between events on the first genuinely springy, spring day we had had in a while. Nearly 80 degrees with a breeze I thought I could handle a cold popsicle. When I saw that they had fruit mixed with herb/savory/spice my curiosity was peaked. Cucumber Lime Jalapeño was the choice of the day and a mighty good choice it was! Each lick/bite was a delight and it felt like a treat-yo'self-moment as I walked from the shop to my car enjoying that crazy, delicious flavor combination. It was so good that I know I'll be back--especially with a couple of my vegan friends and family (as many of the pops are friendly to that diet). There is a small parking lot that fills up quickly but there is a lot of public parking near by on Main Street. (Pro tip: the Methodist church is usually open to letting people park there on busy days like when they had the Christmas parade prior to covid, so that's usually an option.) There was one group of 3 a head of me and they were taken care of quickly. The employee helping me was knowledgeable about what they had and helped make recommendations. We tried pops and shaved ice. On the shaved ice we tried peach & my husband enjoyed it. I liked that even a small was a lot, and there was flavoring all thru out. The kids liked their strawberry & chocolate pops respectively.
