Ice cream was great and Sam was incredibly kind with great service. There with family .... all the flavors we purchased were fantastic.

We went here on a Monday or Tuesday evening so it was expectedly empty. It wasn't empty though, it was straight up dead in there. That being said, one would think we'd get "good" service - also not the case. Based on Yelp (and Google) reviews, we were served likely by the owner. I asked for two samples and this man was so cheap he barely nicked the ice cream with the corner of the square spoon and called it a "sample." In other words, the sample was so tiny it didn't even cover 1/4 of the small sample spoon. I wish I were making this up yall, I was mind blown. I ended up settling for a flavor I didn't ask to sample (chocolate cookie dough, I believe it was). It was just okay. Nothing to miss or write home about. When I asked for that flavor, he almost sounded disappointed I didn't get the dark chocolate flavor (one of the ice creams I asked to sample) saying that's one of their best sellers. Sir, if I would've been able to actually TASTE it, I may have very well chosen it. We were visiting town and let me just say that based on that poor experience, I won't ever consider going back nor would I be able to recommend it. read more

No ambiance, it's just a counter in a not so nice strip mall. The flavors were ok and the bathroom was out of order. Tried a few of the Indian flavors and did care for any of them. This was my first time trying Milwaukee Joe's. I really wanted a chocolate peanut butter shake & was excited they could make one. I would say it was pretty expensive for a shake so small. I would go back for normal ice cream or a specialty cake but probably not a shake. The employee was very kind & helpful! When we arrived we weren't sure if it was open. It looked closed & they could use better signage. But she greeted us warmly once we went inside. We were the only ones there so we just had to wait for our shakes but there is some seating if there's a crowd or want to stay there to eat. We went in around 6:30pm on a Sunday and the counters and service area by the cones were pretty messy which was a bit of a turn off. This little ice cream shop is hidden and easy to miss. We have lived down the street from it it for 6 years and only just tried it recently. Prices are a bit expensive and the ice cream doesn't have the same hartiness that other companies have- its physically very light and airy for the price. I would say they have some interesting flavors (like gulab jamun) which is where I give them points but I don't know that this is going to be our "go to" place. read more

I happen in on the Irving location simply because of its proximity to where I live and work - it helps that it's not as packed as the Southlake location. I don't recommend ordering online because the flavors I went for were not available in store. The ice cream was ok, but I prefer Marble Slab down the street. The service was best described as rough. -At Marble Slab you can get a customized pint to go. I wanted to know if you could do the same here, but the response I kept getting was that the pints are in the fridge. -I gave up on getting a custom pint, but since I was taking the ice cream to someone else I asked for a lid. I got an explanation of why I could not have a lid. I was looking at the lids, willing to size up or do what it took so that I could get one of the lids I saw, but clearly that wasn't an option. -Finally, I was not offered a receipt. The person "helping me" walked away after swiping my card. I'm not even sure what I was charged. This is only my second visit, and I hope that things improve in the future. read more

Visiting the area we came across this hidden gem! Sam took care of us and helped us picked our favorite ice cream! My hubby had the chocolate chip cookie dough and I had the cotton candy. I also recommend the Java(if you are a coffee fan like me), triple chocolate (the silkiest chocolate I've ever had), the Jewel of India, Mango(brings me back memories of my childhood in the Philippines), butter pecan and the best ever...Almond joy! I've been eyeing this place for a while and finally I tried it today after craving cake batter ice cream. I walked in and was greeted immediately. I tried the strawberry daiquiri sorbet and it was pretty good, but I ended up settling for cake batter. When the lady was waiting on me to make my decision she was on her phone, which I was fine with, but I wasn't fine with the fact that she didn't wash her hands after I placed my order. I feel like cleanliness is a must when serving customers. She could have at least put on some gloves. Instead she put her phone down and put her dirty hands in the whole bucket of ice cream. Good thing is that their ice cream has traditional flavors, free of artificial flavor it's all homemade in an old-fashioned way. They also had some delicious Indian flavors. We can also ask to have the sample flavors as many as u need. They even have 4 different types of cups with which u can choose the number of scoops and flavor you need. First time today! Had the Jewel of India and Almond Joy flavors. Loved the texture in the Almond Joy -- flaky coconut chips and chocolate chunks. Jewel of India took me a few bites before I got pleasantly acclimated to the unique flavor, one you don't see often in American flavors. 3.5 stars overall because they were not doing samples. It came out to $4.25 for a Small which you could select two flavors for. Not the biggest Small, which is probably a good thing because I imagine it would have been a lot of sugar otherwise.
