Happy Hour Menu
Sushil P.

Stopped by for a late lunch on a rainy day. Was surprised to land a Happy Hour menu which had discounted prices on Ramen and half off on appetizers. Service was nice and efficient. Was offered a complimentary edamame while I waited for my order. I got the Black Garlic Ramen which was very good and a Gyoza which was ok. The place looks clean , well laid out and service was also on the mark and the food hit the spot too. Overall - a great spot to satisfy your Ramen cravings !

Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen

Hinata's easy to locate on Lakewood and Willow by Aikan AYCE Sushi. I popped in because I needed a spicy soup with rich broth. Ramen was an obvious choice. Rivan took my to-go order and he was super friendly during my visit. I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu with extra noodle and extra chashu. Broth was perfect and accompanied by chili oil, chili powder, and sesame. The packaging was well done. The Chashu was the best I've had because it was perfectly cooked, a tad bit greasy, a little fatty, and flavorful. I was able to have 3 servings total with the extra ingredients. My only issue is there's no soft-boiled egg served by default, it's an add-on. I'll definitely return, though.

OMG this place is AMAZING. I am not familiar with a Ramen restaurant only Top Ramen. So I continue to get the combination fried rice appropriately twice a week. The service is friendly & pleasant. Take out is pretty quick. Don't let the long line of dine in customers deter you. Actually tells you their greatness & willingness to wait for a reasonably priced, delicious meal. My order was seasoned perfectly no soy sauce needed which was a first in my 62 years. I have not dined in yet but when I enter for pick up it's a quiet relaxing place. Full of laughter, conversation , smiles and delicious food. I wish they would stay open later. I arrived once too late & they were cleaning for day end. I was literally standing & staring inside a ciuple minutes. Yea im hooked & you will be too.happy feeling

Had a chance to stop by here after a trip to The Pike. I searched for Ramen and this showed up! Glad I decided to go in because the food was great! The chicken appetizer was recommended and it was pleasant surprise the edamame was complimentary. The main attraction was the ramen which was rich in flavor, and the noodles cooked just right. (I don't like it too soft) Please open another store near the Inland Empire! Staff was nice, place is clean, just a place I want to sit down to eat. Until next time !

I've driven past this place so many times on the way to my boyfriend's house, and I finally asked him to take me. We got there about 40 minutes before they closed and were seated right away. They had an awesome happy hour with all ramen for $15 and 50% off appetizers, which was such a good deal. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, and it was so good. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. On my first visit, we also got the spicy tuna crispy rice. The pieces were huge, and I asked for a side of spicy mayo. It was honestly the best spicy mayo I've ever had. We came back a few days later, and this time I tried the calamari, which was also really good. The staff was amazing both times. When we came back a few days later, they remembered us and gave us such a warm welcome. It's always nice when a place makes you feel like a regular after just one visit. Between the food, happy hour, and great service, this is definitely going to be one of our new go-to ramen spots.

Nice restaurant when getting off the 405. We got sat down as soon as we arrived. Menu is simple and straight forward. We ordered Gyoza as the appetizer, then Spicy Tonkotsu and Miso Ramen. The dishes came out quick! One of the workers came over to give us Edamame on the house as well; pretty tasty. Overall, nice experience. Workers were attentive with refills and clearing out finished dishes! Bathroom was also clean.

Nobody talks about Hinata Ramen enough! Located at Lakewood X Willow. Great lunch specials, excellent happy hours, and legit ramen. The vibes are chill and the service is quick and friendly. The food, the ambiance, the service - all stand out in a crowded ramen field. Hinata Ramen deserves more love from the community as their food is top notch.

Had an amazing time here, I got the cucumber salad and crispy spicy tuna. Both were delicious and refreshing in a hot day. I also had the yuzu spritzer which also hit the spot.

Cute establishment and friendly service! They had such a cute lids meal and the most delicious sparkling peach drink (yes, must have!) The food was absolutely delicious and the table is roomy.

Had some car service scheduled and decided to walk down the street for some good eats while I wait. Was warmly greeted and seated. Interior was nice, and booth was comfy. It was just past 2pm so their half-off appetizers deal had just started. Took advantage and ordered fried calamari, chashu fries, (since it was international fries day) and some veggie fried rice. I was also given complimentary edamame! Everything was delicious, kinda wish I didn't order so much. I was super full. Then I got a call that my car was done. Perfect timing. I'm looking forward to coming back to eat here for my next oil change!

Came here on a sunday around 11:30am. No wait to be seated. Parking lot in front. Onside clean with some TVs. Ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen it was good a nice spice to it. The regular tonkotsu was good and creamy veggies tasted fresh. The squid calamari was very good. The gyozas were fried well. All in all for the lunch special plenty of good food.

Hamburg Donburi Black Garlic Ramen
Melody S.

Such a cute little spot!! My friend and I were craving ramen, so we decided swing by this place. It's right next to a Subway that I frequent often, and a car wash. It's situated in a smaller lot, but I've never had trouble finding parking here. The inside is cute and tastefully decorated. We were admiring the wall covered in vintage posters while waiting for our order. Service was a bit slow, but it was understandable, as we came around peak dinnertime. I ordered the Hamburg Donburi and my friend ordered the black garlic ramen. We also ordered a side of Takoyaki. The takoyaki came out first, and it was pretty good. Nothing really stood out specifically about it, just good ol' classic takoyaki. The Hamburg steak was really good, and the portions were HUGE! the meat itself was really flavorful and seasoned generously. The meat-egg-sauce ratio was perfect. As a savory lover, this meal was so satisfying! I loved how it came with a side of broth and salad. I couldn't really pinpoint what exactly the flavor of broth was, but it was very savory. It reminded me of red miso. I took a sip of my friend's black garlic ramen broth and it did not disappoint. It was super garlicky and complimented the rich tonkotsu broth. Overall, I would come back here again!

I felt welcomed by the cool tones of the interior design and layout actually. We waited by the door as a party of two. Not too long after we entered were we greeted by the hosted and seated outdoors, as we requested. Even though it is on fourth street which has plenty of street traffic, it was still a quiet, comfortable dining experience. Every thing on the menu looked and sounded amazing but I planned to try the ramen because I've been craving a good bowl of ramen for a while. I landed on the shoyu ramen with tofu. I really enjoyed the taste of the broth. The flavor and seasoning was soul-healing. I don't usually go with plain chicken broth in ramen but I felt confident in my choice. I was literally happy dancing with each bite. The ramen was so good! My partner went with a spicy order of tonkotsu ramen with chicken, garlic, and black oil sauce. I tried parts of it and it was also delicious! I wanted to try the sushi but did not have that big of an appetite for both sushi and ramen so I opted for the salmon poke tacos. They tasted very savory and the salmon was flavored really well. The temperature and consistency was not too overwhelming for the tacos shell. The service was attentive and not too invasive. We took the check to the counter to pay. I am excited for our next trip here. It is dangerously walking distance for us! PS they have a sign that says they are hiring a dishwasher for Saturday and Sunday!

Since then, I discovered a Rakkan in Tustin (now sadly closed) but there is this one here in Belmont, Long Beach, where I work! Since I discovered this LB location, I have been here a total of 3 times. I'm usually not a ramen fan so I don't frequent ramen shop too much, so 3x at the same ramen shop is a lot for me. Overall, my experience here at this location has been above average. There were some inconsistency with the service but overall, personally for me, every time I was there we had pretty good service. The broth is still as flavorful but for some reason I think that taste I first had in Coppell, Dallas was the best for me and I haven't been able to get that here at this location. Nonetheless, I like Rakkan because it also offers pretty tasty shrimp option ramen and the convenience of having plant based broth is you can have your choice of protein and still have the same consistency of the broth! I would rather go for plant based broth ramen any time over the original one, for health and clean-eating reasons. Would def recommend you check them out at least once! I also like that they have HH portion so you can really have a taste of their appetizer and don't need to commit to full size!

This place has been on my list for a while, so when I was in the area, we finally gave it a try!…read moreThe food did not disappoint, but unfortunately, I'm giving it 3 stars due to the slow and disorganized service we experienced on a Sunday afternoon. We came as a party of 6 after the Long Beach Marathon, and it seemed like they were understaffed. My friend mentioned that she had received better service on a previous visit, so hopefully this was just an off day. Still, there were quite a few things that could have been handled better. They only gave us one set of banchan, which I thought was insufficient for a party of 6, especially since several of the dishes we ordered also came with banchan. We had to ask for water, and we finished our initial sides pretty quickly while waiting for our food. When we asked for refills, we had to follow up twice. One of the female servers came across as unfriendly and made us feel like we were bothering her when we asked for more banchan. She didn't even stop or look at us when she responded, "Give me a minute." The male server was friendlier, but overall, the service remained slow, even when we were trying to get our bill and check out. There were also some order mix-ups. We were served the wrong dishes twice, and my friend specifically requested no onions, but that was overlooked as well. Between the long wait, missed requests, and lack of attentiveness, the experience felt pretty disorganized. FOOD: - Rib Eye Bulgogi: came with rice and banchan. The presentation was pretty cool, with the meat served on a bed of salt that was lit on fire! It helped keep the food warm, although it did make moving the meat around a little tricky. The bulgogi itself was very tender and flavorful, and we really enjoyed it. - Pork Belly Tofu Soup: good, but I wish it had more tofu. Either there wasn't enough, or it had broken down into smaller pieces, because I was hoping for more substantial chunks. - Rose Tteokbokki: creamy and delicious; but it's definitely a dish meant for sharing Overall, we were satisfied with the food, and I thought the portions were fairly priced. Unfortunately, the slow, disorganized, and occasionally unfriendly service took away from the experience and makes me feel a little hesitant to return.

I will say that the spice levels here are pretty mild we got medium spicy but it was more like a between mild and medium spicy so if you like spice definitely ask for it! Portion sizes are pretty good here, the two of us had leftovers to take home! Thai tea presentation is super cute and unique! Waiters were overall pretty nice and did check on us a few times. Nice casual ambiance. Music choice is kind of interesting they were playing kpop when we were there. Overall I could see this being a great place to meetup w friends, maybe a cute place for a date given how cute the Thai tea presentation is. There is a small parking lot which is surprising for this area of Long Beach but take note that on the weekend it might be full! Otherwise there's street parking in the surrounding area.

It's exceptionally good and it's the kind of dish that doesn't need any sort of meat. Ten. I also very much loved the spicy pad Thai ($16.95). We added the colossal prawns for like $7.00. The natural light coming through the windows added a nice contrast to the darker tones throughout the space, creating a cozy yet modern vibe. Gekkeikan Sake -- 9/10 We ordered the Gekkeikan sake served cold to enjoy while we waited for our food. It was smooth, flavorful, and a fun way to start the evening. We also ordered it during happy hour, which made it even more affordable. Definitely a great option if you're looking for a refreshing drink to enjoy with your meal. Crispy Chicken -- 10/10 I ordered the five-piece Crispy Chicken, and it arrived hot, fresh, and steaming. The chicken itself was a 10/10--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. What really elevated the dish was the combination of the lettuce wraps and sauce. Wrapping the crispy chicken in the lettuce and adding the sauce created an amazing balance of textures and flavors. I would definitely recommend this as an appetizer. Another bonus: it was available during happy hour, which made it an even better value.
