I used about 1 and one half cups out of it. On Aug. 9, 2023, I asked for it be shaken, and the clerk refused to do so because she said it might leak. I paid about $65 for the can. So I drove across town and went to Home Depot and they shook my Benjamin Moore paint for about 5 minutes without any hesitation or question. He checked the seal and then put it in the machine. No leak, no issues. I guess you get better service with more experienced employees. Nor did I get any pushback from Home Depot about shaking another store's paint. Now that's service!!! I never thought I'd be endorsing Home Depot over Benjamin Moore for paint, but here I am. . . Very disappointed with this store.

I'm always willing to pay a little more here than going to Lowe's because of the service and expertise offered at the actual retail store. When I go to the bigger home improvement stores, there is always a much longer wait time, and the employees definitely look like they hate their jobs. They have also gotten a paint color I requested wrong; like completely wrong. I don't even know what color they mixed because it wasn't on the label they printed. All I know is that I can not trust those bigger stores. End of rant. Going back to this particular store, I am very happy with the quality of the paint and how the employees also try to help you work within your own budget. They are honest, respectful, and very patient. Definitely will continue buying my paint here.

Although over the years the staff have changed, the standard of service has not. Uniformly polite, knowledgeable, friendly, quick--the list goes on. I went just a few days ago for the first time in quite a while and after having had a bit of a bad day. But when I came out, I was smiling and had forgotten what was on my mind, because the staff knew both exactly what I needed in terms of paint, and treated me with kindness and care. And, b/c I am a returning customer and work through a contractor usually, they also made sure to apply every legitimate discount they could, making the purchase extremely reasonable. I would not go anywhere else.

I had fun walking through the showroom, checking out the room setups, and grabbing more things for home projects that I probably don't need haha. I definitely ended up browsing way longer than planned. There are a few things to know before you go. This location doesn't have a huge inventory, so don't expect to find everything you see online or at the larger IKEA stores. It seems like they don't stock them often either. The restaurant is also VERY small. You order your food through a kiosk and then pick it up, but if you visit during a busy time, be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes for your food. No free meals for kids here. Also, if you are returning an item, make sure to check in through the IKEA app or your email so you can get in the queue. Otherwise, the return line get really long. I am happy to have an IKEA so close by, and it's still a fun place to walk around. Just plan ahead, especially if you are going for food or customer service.

It seemed like there was a bit of a learning curve with items that you could put directly in your cart from the displays vs. ordering and picking up at the very end. I thought the cafe inside was a cute touch. I don't think many people know that you can actually sit down and eat a meal inside the store. We tried the meatballs to see what all the excitement was about and found them to be very tasty! The service was very slow considering they have a limited menu and the items are prepared on a hot bar, but we enjoyed our experience. I'll check out this store for future furniture needs, but will probably hit up the cafe for only a snack.

This was our first visit to a Home Goods store. We needed to buy new lamps for our bedroom…read morenightstand. As we were discussing where we should start looking, Home Goods came up in conversation. Thus, we agreed that since there was one in Herndon, that is where we'll start. Home Goods is one of those places that has an ever-changing selection of items. In other words, you may see an item you like but don't buy it then and there, it may not be there when you return. Upon entering the store, we looked around to get our bearings. I saw a sign for furniture and told my husband that lighting would probably be nearby. That turned out to be correct. They had about three or four aisles of lamps. Much to our surprise, we saw two matching lamps that we both liked. Since we had never shopped here before, I looked for a salesperson to ask how it all worked. Do we take the lamps to the register...or what? She followed me back to the lamps and unplugged them, then put them in our cart. Oh...okay. Now we know, if there's a next time. The cashier was friendly and efficient. So far, we're happy with the new lamps, and we were pleased with the price. We'll have to take the time to explore the whole store to see what else is available.

When I came home I took a closer look at the rags' original price and they were listed for $23! So she gave me more than 50% off! That was pretty awesome.

Very disappointed with the customer service at Sur La Table…read more I purchased a coffee machine and returned to the store the very next day because I was not satisfied with it. The machine had only been tested by running water through it, which is a normal step to determine whether it functions properly and meets expectations. Despite this, the staff refused to accept the return. What made the experience even more frustrating was the attitude of the employees. Instead of focusing on helping a customer who had just made a purchase, they repeatedly questioned why I bought the machine in the first place. This felt dismissive, unprofessional, and completely irrelevant to the issue at hand. I understand that stores have return policies, but the way this situation was handled showed very little regard for customer satisfaction. A coffee machine is not something you can truly evaluate without at least setting it up and testing it. Refusing a next-day return after minimal use and then interrogating the customer about their purchase decision is not the level of service I expected from a specialty kitchen retailer. This experience has left me with a negative impression of Sur La Table, and I will think twice before making another major purchase there.
