With that in mind, when I…read morehad to replace the stuffing from four chair cushions from down to foam, I ignored the larger establishments and the craigslist/Facebook marketplace/online offers and went to our local upholstery store. The quote was a little higher than the store who we found in Sterling, but, ya know - #HerndonStrong. A little over $200 and we'd have it back in a week, they said. So we gave it a shot. Color me underwhelmed. One week passes, nary a peep from the owners. E-mails sent and phone calls unreturned. Two weeks, nothing. Three weeks passed amidst multiple phone calls from us and it is finally complete. I go in to pick it up, the owner, Eddie--who doesn't feel a need to wear a mask when interacting with customers during the pandemic--shrugs and says "we put it aside and forgot about it." I mean, points for honesty, but seriously? I ask his brother Jeff (masked and helped with the door, thank you!), who rings me up if we were going to be paying the full freight despite it being three weeks late, and Eddie chimes in "I told you what happened." I get it that it was a small order, all things concerned, and concede that the relatively simple order appears to have been well done, but the lack of communication about tardiness and the apathy for being that late are deal-breakers. Small jobs matter too, and when we have our big job coming, I won't be back.

If you are in the market for blinds, I cannot recommend this company more highly! I tried to save money and used Next-Day Blinds a few years ago. The blinds did not last (neither did the company). The strings to raise and lower the blinds broke within a couple of years. I contacted Hyun and she gave me hundreds of options to cover our window. After narrowing down our design preferences, she came out and showed me samples. She was quickly responsive, helpful, friendly, and professional. We ordered our blinds and she kept me up-to-date throughout their production. Upon installation, we noticed two very small puncture marks on one of the blinds (hardly noticeable). Without even a word from me, Hyun placed an order for a replacement! I am so impressed with how thoroughly concerned Hyun is with our satisfaction. The blinds look fantastic! On top of that, they are very reasonably priced. I did splurge to get the remote-controlled blinds at the front of our house and this feature is so luxurious! I didn't know I could be so excited about window coverings. I whole-heartedly recommend Gotcha Covered

Finally, I went into their Herndon location with the photo of a bright, modern bathroom I liked and within an hour I had most of the design and materials chosen. The next day they sent me an estimate. We tweaked a few things and they put us on the schedule. We really wanted a steam shower and knew that added to the cost but they had experience with steam showers. I could have tried to save money by driving around to different places to choose material and by finding and supervising all the workers on my own (I'm usually a DIY person) but I wanted a contractor who'd oversee everything and make it easy and efficient. We had the same workers every day and they showed up when they were supposed to. They took care of getting building permits and scheduling county inspectors. I'm picky about tilework and the guy did an excellent job with cutting 3 different styles of tile. You have to walk through our bedroom to get to the bath so they put up a big plastic tarp wall to minimize dirt and give us some privacy. They put down cloths in our hall every day to keep the floors clean. Everything was spotless when they finished. I'd read some negative reviews about communication before we started and I discussed this with them. The project manager came to check on the work every 4 days and discuss changes or concerns. Every change we requested was updated in the contract. Communication was excellent. It's been 6 months and I'm very happy with our gorgeous bathroom!

Based on the estimated price range stated, I agreed to have drapes made.Pressure was put on me while I was on vacation to rush picking all details online for the order immediately to meet my critical deadline for my daughter's wedding reception in September. In September, I notified the company that I had a severe case of COVID, and they immediately stated that the installation would be canceled. Then,I was told I would be charged an extra $200.00 for cancelling.I had to argue in my very sick state with several Calico personnel before this additional charge was retracted.I was offered only 11/1/24 for the new installation date-1 day prior to the rescheduled reception date. When the man showed late to install the drapes, they were defective.I then missed having them for Thanksgiving, the holidays, and a milestone birthday for my husband and myself in December. The entire purpose of purchasing these drapes was ruined; the price was 3 times what I had originally been estimated; the drapes are merely ok; there has been no follow up since they were installed; and I could have ordered something similar from Amazon for 1/3 the price. Except for the salesperson, Bridgett, who was very nice and apologetic, the manager and other employees there were rude and difficult. Now despite 2 written requests to explain what's going on and no answer, now no one answers in service AND the line won't take recorded messages. This seemed so simple. Sofa delivered with a mid-shaped back cushion. I was told at delivery that a new piece would be ordered and replaced when it came in. I waited 9 months for the call that the replacement cushion arrived. But instead of replacing it, they took the sofa saying the repair would be done and sofa returned. That was 3 weeks ago. I've used the service email to request clarification. Twice. No response other than the auto message that my email was received. Today I called. No answer on the service line. Mailbox 'not taking messages. So, sofa bought and paid for. But I have no sofa and no answers. What good is a nice showroom if the service department is lousy, customers ignored and store shows no concern? Update! I had hope when, after publishing this review I got a call from Belfort. My hope was misplaced and speaks further to their failure. The call was to "arrange delivery" asap since repairs were (suddenly) complete. I asked what repairs were done to make sure we were on the same page before coming out here. Amazingly she returned to the phone to say her call was in error, repairs were NOT MADE and there would be no delivery. I asked what they HAD done in the weeks since picking up my sofa and she didn't know. No one was there who could tell me but I'd get a call first thing this morning. Here we are. Yet again with no response. The service department there is a mess.
