This local spot reminds me of traditional authentic Hawaiian poke. The poke bowls are delicious and…read morethe ingredients are very fresh. You can build your own poke bowl. Which I love to do as there are so many options to choose from. Or you can opt for a premade combo which is good if you are indecisive or don't know what to mix. They also serve spam Musubi, another traditional Hawaiian dish that I like a lot. But I like spam. On this trip I opted for ramen as it was suggested by Naa who works there. I got the spicy tonkotsu which was very flavorful. It did not taste too spicy to me because I really like things extra spicy. So I might not be the best judge of spice level. If you like pork belly in your ramen such as myself it is listed on the menu as chashu. They also have beef, chicken and veggie add ons. If you want something sweet they also have mochi donuts. You can order on the kiosk. Or at the counter. The kiosk is super easy and convenient. Or you can order at the counter. The menu is on display monitors. Or there are paper menus. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. They will explain the menu to you and make suggestions if you need help deciding. You can watch them make your food as the space has an open layout. This is one of my favorite places to grab lunch.

We got two of the warm/cooked bowls (salmon, chashu pork) and the salmon lovers poke bowl. Loved the two salmon bowls, which were very fresh and had a lot of other delicious complementary toppings (edemame, seaweed salad, green onions, etc). Self order is super convenient! Limited seating indoor and outdoor, more of a grab-and-go place.

Even though I've moved out of the area, I'll still drive back to this location because I enjoy it so much. Every time I've visited, the place hasn't been too busy, and there's usually just one or two people working, but they're always friendly and efficient when I order. I really have nothing but good things to say about this spot. If you're looking for fresh, delicious sushi at a great price, Poke Bowl is the place to go.

The only bad thing is that this is literally run by a couple so I'm not sure if they can handle a big order at once. So if you put in a big order, expect to wait a little. They also never reopened dine-in tables since COVID so there is literally just a table and chair and the place is not really much to look at. Take out orders are perfectly fine with me. Unlike other places they don't skimp out on stuff if you order online. They give you the same bowl stuffed with fresh fish and usual ingredients. This certainly get a five star for value. The only reason I gave four stars to this place is I usually only give five stars to something at Michelin levels.

Gotta love the names and Lei'd Island Kitchen's playful motto is "It's a great day when you get Lei'd!" Now who doesn't agree with that lol. You can dine in, order to go and pick up, or you can order delivery. They also offer catering. FOOD They have poke bowls, hot bowls, island rolls, and hand rolls (sushi). For the build your own bowls, you choose your portion size, your base, and your protein otherwise you can choose from one of the many traditional predetermined ingredients bowls and you can still specialize it. They also have sides like taro or tortilla chips with avocado smash, shrimp tempura, and macaroni salad. I got a wild caught tuna build your own bowl over rice. Delish! I had salmon, edamame, corn, cucumber salad, ginger and eel sauce. It had a little too much ginger but that is easy to fix. A step below my usual bowls for a couple dollars more. Husband ordered the Koji chicken bowl and it was surprisingly small. It seemed like a weak version of a chicken teriyaki bowl. Daughter ordered the kare-kare brisket bowl and it was terrible. We really should have said something or tried to switch it out because she basically picked at it and left hungry. The brisket was dry and tough and it has something else that was like mush. They also charge a 3% credit card fee, which I get is becoming more standard. Overall, it was probably a 2 star visit for us, but I think it is likely better than that most times.
