I had to reiterate my repair needs before accepting the car as complete, which was a little frustrating, but they worked quickly to see that I was taken care of. This is the best 'worst-case' experience you could ask for. They are very professional as they walk you through the process of putting my car back together. It is the second time I've had to get my car repaired by them and it was an excellent experience every time. It's been a while since I had to have body work done so I hopped on Yelp to find a place to go. Hild came up first, so I dropped by and I'm so glad I did. I worked with Steve, who was super nice. There was open communication, a clear timeline and they finished a week early even! I was so impressed by the work and their professionalism, and happy to get my car back a week earlier than I expected that I gave Steve a big hug! My experienced was absolutely amazing. I was hit, I made it in for a estimate, Steve W., was my go to guy. He was great, got me, he did inform me that my vehicle would be in there for a while, as there was a lot of work that needed to be done. He called me twice a week, kept me update on status, answered all my question. He went on vacation while vehicle was still there, Carl Hild, then took to keeping me updated. Although my paperwork stated a later date to be complete, I got a call a day later, stating my vehicle was ready for pick up. It was immaculate, it was cleaned, detailed inside and in perfect condition. Better than when I left it with them. I can't say anything better, they took very good care of me and I praise them. I have used Hild collision for over 30 years. I went in to get an estimate on a minor repair. The receptionist was rude & not helpful. I arrived for an 8:30 am appt & when I tried to tell her I was here & my time, she told me to sit down & wait. Finally, @ 8:45 I reminded here that I had an 8:30 appt & she told me she was busy & to sit down. There was a tow truck driver that was @ the front desk stapling papers together, not even conversing w/ her. My estimator came out,& we discussed the repair. My minor repair was now a major repair consisting of possible internal repairs. The "rough" estimate was $1400. I then went down to Taylor Motors, Collision center & was immediately greeted & got an estimate of $800. I had my car repaired in 1 day & they actually fixed another dent in my bumper for free. They were WONDERFUL. My husband had the same problem w/ Hild, including the rude behavior by their receptionist. ( he went to Taylor as well) This was not an isolated incident. When I tried to call to speak to the owner, I was put in hold for over 10 min ( X2) I tried to handle this without going in Yelp but I want others to not have to experience this. My first ever five-star review. I have been to Hild about three times over the last eight years for various fender benders and scratches to several autos. Every time they have been exactly the same in terms of quality and customer service, I would call it in near perfect. The relationship Hild has with my insurance company is seamless (My insurance Co. was the one who recommended Hild - as a 'pre-approved' repair vendor). They walk you through each step of the repair, give you options that best work with my insurance and the work extremely fast and as as far as I can tell, the best quality the business. The repair consultant Duane, is very helpful, professional, and friendly. The front office and reception area is also friendly, very clean and if you have to wait for an hour or two for some reason, I think would be very comfortable (I've always just dropped my car off so never stayed for any period of time). The parking is a little bit awkward because there isn't much room and it's located on a busy street, but they have the process down so well, they get cars into a back lot quickly without you feeling rushed or like you are in the way. I would recommend Hild very highly and if you need a car repaired at least give them a try in terms of getting a bid and seeing how it goes. They'll win you over. Again this is my first five-star review. I'm not a difficult customer or anything and don't hold out on giving stars because I'm snooty - it's just Hild is the first vendor I've worked with that has overall, over the years, earned it. read more

Hild has repaired all our vehicles. They repaired our Starfire Pearl Lexus RX, which paint is impossible to match. Literally, it took them 4 times. But they got it and wouldn't stop trying until we were happy. Then we took our Starfire Pearl ISF in and they got it right in the first try! My family and I were involved in a major car accident out of state while on vacation. The repairs needed to be done there in order to get my car home. To the naked eye, things seemed "fine". But to me, they weren't. Things were just off. Hood placement, bumper didn't sit right, who knows what else was going on. I contacted my Progressive representative and he put me in touch with Jason. Jason was my new rep once the car was back in Redding. Jason has been great. He is the only Progressive rep. here in town and is still dealing with many of the hail repairs from our big hail storm. He has an office at Hild a few days a week so that made me feel better about getting in touch with him. My previous rep. was not terribly easy to get ahold of, but Jason turned our Progressive experience into a much better one. As far as Hild is concerned, Steve was in contact with me throughout the entire process. Steve is just about the best pwrson in customer service hands down. Their willingness to get to the root of the problem made me really like their shop. A few dates may have gotten moved around but I told them I was ok with that as long as it was getting done right. They were very professional and customer service is their top priority. For both Hild and Progressive to come together as a cohesive team and get my car back to "pre-accident" status turned my world around. Hild was recommended to me by my boss. An uninsured driver hit the back of my car and I had to tie the trunk down to keep it closed. It would have cost me way too much to get everything replaced so all I wanted was the trunk to be functional and they did just that. And they didn't pressure me to get everything replaced but just did what I asked them to do. Plus they vacuumed my car and wiped down some of it as well as cleaned the exterior. I also had a mirror that had fallen out of the visor a while before and I asked them to glue it back in and they did it for no extra charge! I was so happy with their work! They are wonderful! This is the second time I've used Hilds. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dwayne is great to work with because he makes sure you understand what is going to be repaired and also notifies you of anything else he sees around the car. I brought my vehicle here because it was in a accident. I had recently just bought my car and was not thrilled to have the body damage it received. The customer service was great. They kept in touch, helped me with the rental, and helped me with the insurance process. However when I receive my vehicle. I was under the impression that it would be cleaned. The inside of my car was filled with the dust and debris from the repair. My bumper was replaced however it wasn't fully clipped in as well with my window lining. From a glance it looks great however I feel like I received a polished pig. The work looked rushed with no attention to detail. I wouldn't recommend this place or go here in the future. read more

This is the 3rd time we've used Hild and I give them the highest rating because they always do a great job and the entire staff is very helpful. Tami helped us this time and she really did everything she could to expedite the repair for us. My husband is disabled and we have a special car seat for him that helps him get in and out of our car. Since we had to have a rental car this was a big issue for us making it very difficult for him. Tami said she would talk with the crew and see what they could do. I had a terrible experience at Hild. I scheduled an appointment with Jason for 11:00 on a Wednesday. I waited an hour before Jason came to estimate the repairs on my car. After he estimated the damage he said he would call me the next day with the figure. Didn't hear from him so called him on Friday, he said he would have the quote by the end of business that day. Jason finally called me the following Friday. In the meantime I found another collision center who gave me a quote while I waited. When Jason did call me back that Friday I told him I had chosen another company. He immediately got in my face saying I had to use them since my insurance company had approved it. I ran by him how I was treated but he continued to hassle me. I ended up hanging up on him. I would NEVER recommend them for anything. read more
