I have been shopping at Natures Closet since it was in Bennington. I followed it to Williamstown…read morewhen it moved and have seen numerous ownership changes. Somehow, the store doesn't think it necessary to distinguish between mens and womens apparel. Many womens athletic clothes don't use numeric sizes anymore, using S, M, L. It can be difficult to recognize that one rack has mens and the next one womens This morning I went there to get some shirts and a fall jacket. My shopping was interrupted by a saleswoman who asked me if I was looking for mens clothes. This after I had been in the store for a good ten minutes, mistaking some racks for mens and vice versa. I said I was. She then proceeded to try to explain where the mens clothes were. I didn't quite understand her and needed clarification, what racks are for men? For some reason, she took umbrage at my confusion and replied dismissively about one side of the store being for men. I asked if it included the wall racks. She said the right side of the store was for men, giving me the impression that helping me was low on her priority list. When I said, of course, all stores are men on the right and women on the left, another saleswoman chimed in with an "I beg your pardon." So I repeated myself. I had two shirts worth $200 in my hands and had come in prepared to spend at leadt that much, but after the attitude and treatment I received, I decided to buy what I had and leave. At the counter the saleswoman folded my shirts and then just stuffed them in the bag. I've been shopping here for nearly twenty years. Never again and I will tell everyone who will listen to me about this experience. Shabbiest treatment I've gotten from retail in decades.

For quite some time, I used to come here with a friend or by myself, pick up a complementary map of Kennedy Park, and go for a little hike. The entrance to the park is right at the store's parking lot, which makes it especially convenient. The map shows the different trails throughout the park, and I would choose one and enjoy a leisurely hike. A nice lady warmly greeted me when I walked in. I browsed around the store for a while but didn't end up purchasing anything this time. I did notice their wonderful selection of hiking shoes displayed along the back wall, which caught my attention. Over the years, I've purchased quite a few items from this store, so it was nice to return and browse once again. It was wonderful to revisit a place that brought back such pleasant memories of those hikes, as well as some enjoyable shopping experiences over the years.

This sports shop is just top notch. They came highly recommended by my dad and once I walked in,…read moretheir customer service totally proved his glowing review right. I came in to drop off my snowboard for repair and after looking it over the next day, they told me the honest truth that it was a bit too of a complex repair for them to trust that it was stick long term. They suggested for the price it would cost to make it perfect, given the year of the board (2017), I'd be better off getting a new board and pocketing the difference. I appreciated how up front they were and headed their advice! I'll be running the board through it's final paces this season and getting a new one come spring. Even beyond repairs, this shop has it all. From kayaks to climbing gear, skis to paddle boards, they've got everything you need to enjoy the outdoors for all four seasons.

WATCH THE PRICE THEY CHARGE YOU AT THE REGISTER. I had to walk back to do multiple price checks…read moremyself after the listed price on the shelf was lower than what they tried to charge me in after scanning the barcode (in fact, most products DID NOT have a listed price where I was looking). Last price check I did one of the employees was taking the sign away. Idk if it was to tell the person at the register or not but when I said something about it they said it was "store policy" to charge the listed price and not the inflated price in the computer.... Yeah pumpkin its also consumer law in MA. Staff was pretty sycophantic or checked out any time you tried to talk to them. Thanks I guess though, wound up saving hundreds just by getting so frustrated at the ordeal. Turns out, Holyoke Sporting Goods had the main sporting stuff I needed at a fraction at the price.

Took another 20 minutes to enter my information. Finally picked out the grips and received pricing, but when checking out the couldn't figure out the proper pricing. After that got figured out I asked if they would give me a call when done and they said yes. Told they would be done in 1 day. Never received a call, so called them and was informed they couldn't do the job because grips were too old. Isn't that why you get new ones? When to pick them up and found one of the grips butchered and the rest not touched. I asked for a "manager" and I spoke to a rude incompetent person who offered nothing other than interrupt me every time I tried to speak. Overall awful experience.
