Thank you Highland Runners! This place was recommended to me because I've recently begun to walk more on concrete and my knees and hips are really not feeling it! I came in the other day and explained what was going on. The man that was working evaluated the wear pattern on the bottom of my current sneakers, my arch and has a good conversation with me around my walking habits. Then he suggested a couple of pairs of shoes and had me get on the treadmill with them to evaluate my walk. I ended up picking one pair and now I'm waiting for them to come in. The man working that day (I wish I had fought his name) was extremely helpful, personable and went above and beyond to help me with my problem. Hands down exceptional customer service! Thank you Highland Runners. read more

My experience at Highland Runners was great! I was given the best service as soon as I walked in. I learned more about shoes that fit my foot the best, and even got tips on my running form. I ended up leaving with an extremely comfortable pair of running shoes and I can't wait to try them out! I highly recommend supporting this local business, you will not be disappointed. read more

Amazing service. Tested me out with a few pairs of shoes to find the right ones. The ones they gave me almost immediately got rid of my hip paid. Great experience overall read more

I came in looking for a new pair of running shoes, but not knowing what I needed. Alec took the time to explain where my hip pain was coming from, and the type of feet I have. He had me try on a few different pairs, and run on the treadmill to see how they felt. He even gave me some tips on some exercises I could do before and after I run to help with my hip pain. Exceptional service. read more

Top notch store, the owner Alec is very knowledgeable and has years of experience to help you decide what running shoes to get. He helped me improve on my running times and form from the first day I went. I went to other running stores but they wasn't able to help me the way Highland runners did. read more

I was in dire need of new running shoes as the pair I have been using have gone through two marathons plus all of my daily running (over 600 miles of wear and tear) over the last few months. Being we are in a social distance state of mind I decided to give Highland Runners a call to see if they were open and if I could come in for a quick sale. They told me to come in so I drove the two miles from my home to Highland Runners. The associates were excellent. They checked my old running shoes to see how I have been running in them. They also did an analysis of how I run with a personalized fitting. After bringing out several pairs with different sizes and fits I walked out with a fresh pair of On running shoes within 20 minutes. What a great experience as I already ran in them before sunrise this morning! read more

Great store for natural running. Alec, the store owner, is really helpful and knowledgeable. He has a lot of representatives come in from different shoe companies so it's best to check out the Facebook page to keep updated on when they come in. I bought my first pair of Newtons here and they sell running clothes and accessories as well. Currently they have two running groups, one on Sunday and one on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. I went a few times and met some really great people. I believe a pizza and beer party is usually held on the last Tuesday of every month after the run. read more

Nice owner. Took me through free process of finding shoes and improving my running style. Afterwards, I realized my shoe was a little too small. He let me exchange it a week later no questions asked, and donated my old set to charity. Also very welcoming and passionate to develop the running community. read more

I've been a fan of this place for years. I actually got fitted here for my first pair of On's back in 2013. The owner and the staff are amazing. If you're looking for a running store with knowledgeable staff with service second to none, this is it. Their gait analysis is probably the best in the city. I've had running friends who got fitted here as well. You'll walkway well informed with dos and dont's in running. Highly recommended! read more

The guys who I've met there are the sweetest, most enthusiastic guys of any running store you'll ever meet. I went in there while in the neighborhood JUST TO GET SOCKS. Of course, they got me interested in natural running so I bought my first pair of Newtons and they gave me guidance on how I should run. It was pretty close to my natural style, but I took their tips and my great new shoes and I focus on doing it whenever I run. No hard sell either, they are just so sweet and sincere that I thought, why not? I run better and enjoy it more the natural way - so now I'm hooked - I won't get any other kind of shoes and I'll be a natural runner for life - and I can be because natural running means less chance of injuries that hobble most runners. Plus they have cute workout clothes (small selection but great sales and somehow had my unusual size jog bra (30 band with a larger cup) which is rarely available anywhere but specialty shops. I love the stretchy "shoe laces" - I'll never use regular laces again either btw. Ok, clearly I am a fan but best of all - I love the guys there - I think one of them is the owner Alec. The guys always greet you with great smiles & enthusiasm. read more

First time here and walked out with two new pairs of shoes. Very knowledgable staff and best selection I have ever seen for minimalist running. If you are looking for a running store that has Nike or whatever the high school kids wear because they are trying to be cool, this is not your store but if you are into the minimalist running shoes they have an amazing selection and they showed me shoes that I would have never tried and loved them all. Will absolutely be back! read more

As an overweight guy with no car, I know I desperately needed to get into shape with the right pair of shoes. I also have a lot of foot problems, so I thought buying a pair would be a nightmare. However, Luke was more than extremely helpful in working with me to find the perfect pair for my needs. He asked me questions to really pinpoint what I needed, and I felt like I was definitely working with a professional. You're in good hands (feet?) here! read more

Knowledgeable staff and quality shoes. I've been going here for years for my running shoe needs. I always leave as a happy customer.

This is the FIRST and BEST natural running store inside the city of Atlanta, period. I went and saw Alec the owner at Highland Runners, he educated me on the natural running form and helped me decide which was the best shoe for my level of running. I've been in Newtons for over a year now and love them, pain free and a much more efficient runner now, thanks Alec! Check out the running club too, a great group of folks meets up twice a week and runs together, intermediate and advanced group runs available. Check out Highland Runners today, you'll be glad ya did! read more

My favorite thing about Highland Runners is their customer service. I was in the market for a new pair of running shoes, but I wasn't really sure what the best shoe for me would be. I got all of my questions answered at my initial visit. I went home and thought of more questions, went back, and got those answered as well. It is nice to find a store that really cares about their customers. They also offer free yoga and barre classes occasionally on the weekends which are great. They seem to have a small but high quality selection of running gear, which I appreciate. Quality over quantity! If you are in the market for anything running, I'd suggest you give this place a try! read more

Purchased my first pair of Innov8 shoes today as have been into this cross fitting thing for a couple of months. Asked lots of questions and Alec was very helpful. They have a nice selection of good looking shoes you don't see everywhere and seem to be on the cutting edge of what is new. Glad I went in and it is good to know that there is a knowledgeable and stylish running store within an easy jog of my house! Like their facebook page for more info including times for the group runs! read more

Just bought my second pair of On shoes - the shoes are tremendous, and I am big fan of the store. Luke worked with us on both purchases, and he is very knowledgable and totally easy to work with. It's great to have such a wonderful and welcomed resource in the neighborhood. read more

Thank God these guys came to Atlanta. You won't find a better selection of natural running shoes in the southeast, and you definitely won't find better customer service or a staff as knowledgeable about roomy toeboxes, zero drop, and light weight shoes (I tried to stump 'em, but couldn't!). A newbie could get intimidated, but these guys are so friendly and helpful they make you feel right at home. A real asset to the community! read more

Really excellent employees and customer service. A great selection of items and friendly, helpful staff. Big fan of this store!

I had been a lifelong runner. But when I hit 50 yrs. old, I almost quit. I was completely disheartened. I was experiencing significant pain in my knees, ankles and hips. I thought I was destined for the elliptical the rest of my life. I had been purchasing high end running shoes from Road Runner and equated expensive with good. Someone suggested that I try a custom runner's shop as a last ditch effort. Thank goodness I found Highland Runners! Not only did Alex spend considerable time with me evaluating me needs, he gave me great advice regarding my approach to running. Since that initial purchase, I have returned at least 6 times to get new shoes and accessories. I have, without reservation directed 6+ people to the shop and all have the exact same experience. Exceptional service combined with a great selection of shoes/accessories. Thanks Highland Runners / Alex for allowing me to love running again! read more
