Upon entering the store I could see the show wall and noticed they carried Hokas and I was interested in seeing for myself how they felt. There is even a treadmill for runners to try the shoes before purchasing. Fernando was wonderful. After telling him what I had been wearing and the issue I was having he gave me the VIP treatment. In addition to being fitted with the old-school sizer he explained to me why extra room was needed. I also had a foot scan done which was very informative. Fernando also showed me a few things I had been doing that can hinder the wear and tear on my shoes. I purchased the Hoka Bondi and with Fernando's advice I'm no longer adding to the wear of my new shoes. I look forward to purchasing from Big Peach again. The Hokas along with Fernando's help were worth every dollar spent.

But when I walked in and discussed the repair of my shoes, the guy at the desk seemed overwhelmed and was stating how much work he had to do, which is inappropriate! You shouldn't present to your customers that you have too much work. I felt like I was being a burden to him by wanting him to repair my shoes. I said to him you should be happy for the business. The inside of my boots needed some cleaning but my main issue was my heel. He said the cost to replace the heel and polish up. The boots would be $70 . I said OK but then I asked about cleaning the inside of the boots. He said that would be another $50. I said absolutely not. I could buy another pair of boots at that price. The boots only cost me $110. I was having them because I like them. When I picked up the boots a few weeks later the heels were replaced, which I was happy about. But the rest of the boot looked basically the same. No " spit polish. " the boots look the same as when I brought them to the store. They just had new heels. Anyway, I won't be returning. I tried to support a local business. But they need to really watch how they speak to customers. Suggestion: do not complain to new customers that you have too much work. Always go above and beyond. I'm gonna give you one star rating. I won't say I don't recommend your business. I don't have an option to be "neutral" so I'll choose "maybe".. My observations include the minimal amount of stock...one or two items hanging for clothes, hats, etc. and no price tags on any of the shoes ! I am luckily not in the market for another pair of men's running shoes but I enjoy checking on sale items. Apparently if you have to ask how much then the philosophy at this store is we do not want to make it easy for the customer. I asked the sales person what they had in Brooks size 12 and she came back with one pair of shoes. Not impressed.

He then said go to Amazon and order them because they all of a sudden didn't have stock. Even though I had just called 20 minutes prior to driving to the store. I feel he could have paid more attention to the call & my request. He could have told me over the phone just to order them online. Instead of me driving 20 minutes in traffic both ways. I ended up leaving with a new pair of Brooks and some Karhus. Turns out I'd been wearing the wrong size shoe. To top off my purchase I got a pair of Feetures socks and let me say, they are great so far. My feet have never felt better during workouts.
